Never combine frogs, they try to eat ANYTHING they can fit in their mouths, and will suffocate if they handle too large prey, a fact that has been observed many times
when I was a kid and lived in cuba, I took two of these from my backyard and put them in a terrarium (empty fish tank with soil etc) and added some lizards too, to my surprise , the lizards disappeared after some minutes, when I added more lizards, I saw how the frogs ate them. It blew my mind at that point. was kindda entertaining looking at them devouring the lizards,,, I set them free after that though.
We have a snake, turtle, 2 African dwarf frogs, and fish, but I just got a Cuban Tree Frog, today. He's a baby. I named him Tony, as in Tony Montana, (reference Scarface for those of you still wondering) because he's "Cuban" and bad ass! LOL They will eat anything smaller than themselves, including other frogs, pinkies, snakes and baby birds. Our Tony will only be fed crickets, though!
your dumb, no it aint. it is native to Cuba and they say they most likely got on board of the trading boats or whatever and they ended up in the Carribeans, Florida and Puerto Rico. its not native to Puerto Rico, its Cuban
We have those thongs all over here. I hate them as they have eaten all the smaller green treefrogs but they are here to stay . Imagine green treefrogs will only survive in the thick areas of the Glades as in suburbs the cubans have taken over
@Lucadejesu2007 Actually this IS a cuban tree frog. Cuban tree frogs also have yellow on their legs. If it was a gray tree frog, it would have a stubby snout, while this cuban tree frog a more pointed snout.
That is a beautiful frog. I find it funny...some folks are just mortified by the videos of the "cute little mice" being savagely devoured, but say nothing at this video of a frog eating an insect. I guess animal rights don't count unless its a mammal.

Are you crazy? The yellow stands for if it's a male or female...... I have four cuban tree frogs. Two are male and two are female.
I am not sure where you get your information from, but please search before posting.

oooh, tweezers right in the throat! sweet frog though. Cuban eh? awsome.
jice12 5 years ago
why dont u let him catch his own food instead of delivering it to him?
MiniDebz 5 years ago
because if i feed it to him, there's no chance of him ingesting substrate and getting impacted and dying.
nickbachman 5 years ago
Yeah i remember mine would sometimes miss and bang her face on the water bowl or a branch ( ouch ). Good idea btw with the forceps and all.
