Excellent video. It's been a LONG time since I've ridden one!! It scares me every time I ride (all of the creaking and popping when it's in motion just unnerves me!!!!!) but I ride anyway 'cause you never know when you'll see another one. These are more intense than they look (at least to me-LOL)

Where was this taken? I loved the Skywheel! The amusement ride company our state fair uses doesn't have them.

No, Belle City does not own this Sky Wheel. It is owned by the show I work for, McDonagh's Amusements out of Michigan. This video was taken at the Minnesota State Fair, we bring the Sky Wheel there every August.

This particular one is a 1965 Allan Herschell Sky Wheel that was taken from a junk yard and rebuilt and put back on the road in 2003. At one time it was used in the movie "Passenger 57" with Wesley Snipes, in the chase scene at the carnival. Our show got it after that.
