It's not Cowen's fault that he leads a country that isn't economically viable. Ireland will never have a stable economy because it doesn't have any industrial base. So even though it had a good run for a few years it was always very vulnerable to changes in the global economy and that's why it's crashing and burning now. The false sense of security the Irish people had from all the EU handouts is at an end :(
