  • Chinese music. Chinese interpretation of Tibetan clothes. Ballet influenced Chinese style modern dance... ummm, what's Tibetan about this?

  • dechhendk what you need is to shut up your fucking mouth, just enjoy

  • THIS IS NOT TIBETAN DANCE

  • sugarsweet you told laygpot to have respect! you should consider that urself. have a sense of responsibility, u post up dances u like with not a care in the world that by posting up "tibetan dance" u add to the destruction of a culture. u can do as u wish but to lash out at tibs for being angry that their culture is being MISREPRESENTED as this slimy, unoriginal posing is a bit much. china is so amazing, can u post dances other than ones where girls move in a cheap flirtatious manner.

  • sugarsweet: are u willfully blind or just ignorant? ru not aware of the cultural rev impact on tib tradition/spirituality/art. the founder of tib dance is revered as a saint by the tibs. their style is not this writhing, prancing thing that is common in chinese acrobatics/dancing peony girls etc. tibs don't use affected facial expressions and coy hand gestures. this is not a tradition evolving this is propaganda. and with a title like holy anything, i cringe!

  • @Dechendk shutup your fucking mouth,just enjoy,

  • WONDERFUL !

    I LOVE TIBET DANCE !

Actually, i've learnt tibet dances !

  • it's young Tibetan dancer trying to perform a new art of dance with Tibetan flavor.

  • this is more like what the modern dance companies perform rather than a Tibetan Dance. You should just call it Chinese Dance. Although the Tibetan clothes also look very modern and more influenced by Chinese clothes too.

  • I am telling you guys that this is crazy. I don't know what to make out of it.

  • i really like the backround music

  • Beautiful artistry, regardless of the knee-jerk reaction of some.

  • At the least I have the right to point out your naivete!

  • I really do wonder who brought you up, because you seem to lack any sense of manners and decency. Being rude, judgemental and labeling people you don't even know as something they're not is not going to make people listen to your reasonings. Stop being so offensive. Stop being so judgemental. Stop labeling me based on some biased opinions you have.

  • I don't claim to know the politics behind this, but if you were polite, then maybe, just maybe, I would have listened to your reasonings and find out why you don't think this is a tibet dance. But you were not polite. You were rude, harsh, judgemental, and prejudiced. How the heck do you ever expect me to be nice and listen to you now?

  • You accused me of being political for my non-offensive original posting and made it clear that you have no stomach for my clarification "of the politics behind this". Now you are demanding me to be polite and nice. For every finger that you point at others, there is always a thumb pointing at yourself.

  • I suggest you read over what you wrote again. I wrote "I think the point is that this is still an excellent dance, regardless of the political views of some people. ", and you responded by accusing me of being political and being a source of politics. Perhaps you didn't notice this, but nowhere in my comment did I say that YOU specifically were political. My comment was meant to be neutral, your bias made you believe otherwise.

  • Despite your denials the writing is clearly on the wall who you meant. Any way, in the future, please don't label something Tibetan when it is a Chinese product. YOu have the right to appreciate and post anything here...but PlEASE do not label a Chinese distortion a Tibetan dance. That is all I am against. End of.

  • Ethnic dances on stage is different from dance in real life. The dance you see you stage has to be art, it condenses and choses certain elements in that style of dance to be put on stage. And let's not forget that dance evolves over time as well. You say that this is a distortion, well, I can tell you that there are ballet influences in classical chinese dance (but we don't call it a distortion), ballet influences in Dai dance (I don't hear Dai people complain about it), ect ect.

  • I am not against your love of dancing! Heck, you can dance yourself to death for all I care. You put up a political statement by calling a Chinese product a Tibetan dance! What is more political than that? What is more "politically radical and offensive" than that to a Tibetan?

  • How many times do I have to say that I posted this dance up because I LIKE IT? It's not a political statement of any kind! For goodness sake, if you label this as a political statement, you might as well label every kind of art, from a child's finger painting, to monuments or whatever, as some grand scheme of "political statements"

  • No one can pretend to be above and beyond politics. By calling this a Tibetan dance, when it is clearly a Chinese product, even after being alertd to that, you are the source of the politics! I am only reacting to your politics.

  • Being all politically radical and offensive isn't going to make me change this. As a matter of fact, you acting like this just makes me want to smack you people who keeps on putting a political statement on everything. Why is it that there has to be people who calls me "an instrument of Chinese governments whatever whatever" just because I love dancing and I post videos of dances that I like? Seriously, have some respect.

  • Heck, I don't expect you to change. You are either an indoctrinated Chinese or a hang-over from the Loony Left, who live and enjoy all the benefits of free and democratic societies, but sings praises of the "communist paradise."

  • I think someone's a little biased. Has it ever occured to you that maybe there is such a thing as a "middle ground"?

  • That is because this video represents the Chinese destruction of Tibetan culture. We Tibetans do not dance like this. This dance is a product of a Chinese government cultural troupe formed to mongrelise Tibetan culture.

  • I think the point is that this is still an excellent dance, regardless of the political views of some people.

  • Thanks for uploding, such a nice show. I really don't understand why someone gave you one star.
