  • My favorite Desdemona so far. So moving and beautiful, like an angel.

  • I think this is the MOST poignant and beautiful Willow Song I have ever seen or heard, rivaling that of Mirella Freni (my favorite Desdemona to date) even! I was moved to tears! Bravissima!

  • So amazingly talented and deep soprano!!!!...my cousin Olga Nazaykinskaya is a wonderful russian baroque soprano. Thank you for sharing. Regards, Sergio.

  • Simply wonderful singing actress - Russians must be proud! Born for opera. Waiting for her new roles -

    Best regards

    Elena

  • A perfect Desdemona, vocally, acting-wise, her looks.... I hope they'll revive it at the MET so I can can see her in this role. I thought, as I saw her last night in DON CARLO that she'd be "THE" Desdemona I'd love to see and hear. This is superbly filmed as well.

  • Mesmerizing beautiful singing and acting. She is clearly rare among singers today. I saw her in "Don Carlo" and deeply moved by her performance. I just wish we had more singers like her on the stage at the MET.

  • Gorgeous beyond description.

  • I first saw Marina in the Met's Turandot. Today I again heard her playing Micaela in Carmen, a live HD broadcast from Barcelona. Wow! Very beautiful and moving voice.

  • Saw Marina Poplavskaya in the Met production of Turnadot about a year ago. She is staggeringly talented.

  • She was a very very touching Liu last season in Turandot at the Met, the only really good one in the cast....

  • @cmhmuscle

I know what you mean. Marina was out on her own, although I did like the baritone (Pang?).

  • she is amazing, her voice just causes to tremble and she is such a nice person i've been working at the same hotel she visited at.

  • Very moving and beautiful singing.

  • as for marinas russianness - well, if you didn't know her name, you would never say that she is un-italian - she reminds me of the young tucci

  • Very pretty voice. This music needs Italianate colors and there's too much Russian throatiness and overdarkening going on I fear.

  • now, that was beaaaaautiful!

  • I have visited one show and have been totally happy listening and looking her wonderful performance. Not only her voicequallity and her interpretation are fine and finished in tone and legato...She looks like Desdemona and she never do something "modern stupid"! BRAVA!

  • soooo emotional und intim.Fantastisch.

  • When you sing like this there is just no way you can go wrong! Thanks for inspiration ; )

  • Скучно,скучно,скучно.

  • Young, talented, Russian voice. Persistent, purposeful & perceptible rising star. Opened for abyss of creativity. Whish her fruitful future!

  • I just LOVE Marina!! Her voice and her stagepresence!!!She´s amazing! Saw her in don carlos! Unfortunatly missed her as Tatanya. :(
