@Nevidge I pronounce it correctly and I am American. However, my friend from childhood who was Irish was a Moran and their family pronounced it ' moe RAHN',with the emphasis on the second syllable. I recall many Americans pronounced it with a twangy 'A' as in 'ant' instead of 'aunt'.

I watched one of his stand-up performances and I had absolutely no idea what he was saying. His accent makes him hard to understand. He did a bit about going to a marriage between a Catholic & a Protestant and that was funny but he uses local idioms and that only makes him harder to understand. I lived in England for 2 and a half years so I know quite a lot but there's still too much that I never got to learn.
