From what I've observed (not only from this video) Chris Gardner is an A**hole. But that's what life (as pictured in Pursuit of happyness) does to you.

Gardner speaks proudly of his daughter often, since she is a college graduate which is wonderful. I was wondering what the hell is his son up to? I've seen about 20 youtube posts on gardner and he always says ," My son who is just barely getting it." Sounds like his son is lazy and doesn't have the DRIVE.
Yeah. I don't think he had much of a mastermind helping him naturally achieve his goal either. He made that decision and had Step 1 and 2 covered. Didn't see too much SPA. Just a lot of PPA that helped him naturally achieve his goal like The Hidden Secret in Think and Grow Rich said.
It just goes to show what lengths parents will go to do for their children. So inspiring.

It is always GOD who provides the opportunity. Think about it, there are so many such Gardners, only one became The Chris Gardner.. Never underestimate the power of the LORD. He gives the same strength to everyone but the WILL (the force of the LORD) helps the one who believes....AMEN....

Kazzzo, bad things happen to "good" and "bad" people b/c the earth was cursed by God when Adam and Eve sinned in the beginning of time. God Does "NOT" MAKE BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO PEOPLE. Life is just unfair. plain and simple. But if you tap into God (meaning develop a relationship w/ him; pray etc) then HE will show you true LOVE and give you understanding. Its YOUR choice.

OK, let's say that life is unfair. Who made it unfair? Your God did. He created EVERYTHING! He created Satan and Hell and pain and suffering etc. etc. If he wanted to show me true love, he could do away with some of his horrors.
So he creates a flawed universe and then demands that we love him or he'll make us burn in hell? And all because his first attempt (Adam and Eve) failed? No thanks.
Face it, if I treated my children the way God treats his, I'd be in jail for abuse.

You for got the part that god created everything good Saten was one of gods angles but he made wrong chioces over and over and choose evil. Saten tempted adam and eve not god. God welcomes his friendshipe not demands. He treats us better then we deserve. His son died for us so we could be saved after all we have done he still gives us a chioce to enter a perfict place after death. How is that not loveing.

god created everything. god knows everything, past, present, and future.

i completely agree. i taught at an all girls christian camp for 4 years and i know my bible better than most.
god DID create a flawed universe. god does demand love or else. god also believes in sacrfice, and for someone who's supposed to be all knowing, why in the hell couldn't he find a better way than sacrificing his son??

why does god keep forgiving millions of sins why does god give us a secound chance when we dont deserve it? Why does god even allow us to live when he knows every wrong we will do before we do it? Would you rather be a puppet with no chioce? He gives us life without us asking.
