They are using an audio recording in the background i think, but he's not lip-synching - there are just more than one vocal parts. So they use a prerecorded track for some of the background vocals, but not the main parts, like during the wa-a-oh's. Thats what it seems like

therefore, no lip synch. unless they added in a harmony out of nowhere
