Sunday 28th October 1973, my 12 birthday, I didn't even know they were in the country let alone go to a concert, very strict parents. I recorded this on video in 1992, it was shown one evening on BBC1.

I have often wondered where Wayne was as well, maybe he didn't want to go to church that day, maybe he fancied a lie in!!!. (only joking) I know how important their religion was to all of them.

What's going on with Donny backstage (near end of this clip)? He seems and sounds upset. He was singing "I don't wanna go on". Does anybody have any intel on this?

@killaraoftheglow OK, I always thought it was Jay or Merrill saying that lol. whoever it was, I don't think he was being overly serious about it, but I imagine there must have been times that at least one of the brothers were not in the mood to perform. I can't say I blame them so don't really get too bothered about that little remark. They are only human afterall :)

One of the things that really stands out in these videos is that Alan was a great big brother who loved his family. He really was their leader in the public eye and was probably best suited to speak for the family. But, you can tell that he really loved his brothers.

Can you buy this video or DVD anywhere?! I was at the airport when the wall collapsed and at the Rainbow when they said there were no more tickets available and at that concert at the end and the hotel! Oh those were the days!!!
