  • HAS ANYONE HAD A GOUT ATTACK IN THE JOINT IN THEIR ELBOW(S). I BELIEVE I HAVE GOUT IN THE JOINT OF MY ELBOW NOW. IT CAME ON IN A MATTER OF HOURS AND MY ARM WAS SWOLLEN, THAT WAS YESTERDAY, TO DAY, THE PAIN IS STILL THERE, BUT NOT AS INTENSE. I AM GOING TO TRY SOME FROZEN TOMATOS I HAVE IN THE FREEZER TODAY AN SEE IF THAT WILL HELP IMPROVE SYMPTOMS.

  • i have a gout attack at the moment, its horrible, my foot is so swollen, pain is unbearable, started Colchicine 8 hours ago, had gout attacks 5 times before, Colchicine 1mg tablets worked for me, it only takes 2-3 days to totally get rid of pain and swelling.

  • I tried cherry juice, steriod shots, and even elimiating all meat and dairy from my diet. None of these things worked. About 6 months ago I started taking a green drink called "Perfect Food" made by Garden of Life. I take one scoop with about 8oz of water every morning and ever since I've been doing this, I haven't had even the remotest sign of gout. I don't get any compensation from these guys for this stuff. All I know is I used to have TERRIBLE gout and now I don't at all.

  • hi guys, try this is effective.drink hot water 3 to 4 times every day,,,to avoid gout, and good for your health,,,,

  • Gout is pure evil. I just had an attack after being gout-free. Allorpurinol and colchine work but I had another attack. Now im on the steroid, and its taking awhile for it to kick in. I feel like I may sacrifice my kidneys for walking. Good job.

  • No problem Rocko. Check out all the info. on the net about gout. We are told we need to make lifestyle changes, and make them permanent. Less refined food, junk food, acidic food, etc. Conversely we're told to drink more water, eat more fruits & veggies, etc..

Best to you Rocko, believe me, I empathize greatly with anyone who's had gout; it sucks so bad.

  • nice house

  • take three wheetabix a day works for me

  • Taken internally, apple cider vinegar is a cure in nearly all cases.

  • @christophercredit what do you mean, "taken internally"? Isn't it very acidic? How can I take it safely? I would really appreciate some advice. I had my first gout attack 2 months ago and i still haven't recovered. It's really getting me down

  • @FrankRocko The easiest way I was able to consume it was in a leafy green salad. Put your favorite produce items in a salad, use some olive oil & lots of apple cider vinegar-drink what is left at the bottom. Also use some cayenne pepper; it is very alkaline. Another thing I started doing for several months now is squeezing half a lemon & half a lime into a tumbler full of fresh, filtered water every morning after coffee. This has incredible health benefits. Best to you; gout is a dreadful disease.

  • @christophercredit, Hi Chris, thank you very much for taking the time to reply. Can you please be more specific about how much "lots of apple cider vinegar" is? Are there any negative side-effects that you know of? I'm asking because i've read it can cause severe stomach upset. Also what is the ratio of water for the half a lemon and half a lime? Thanks again for taking the time to reply. God bless

  • @FrankRocko I haven't heard anything about stomach problems associated with apple cider vinegar. I have heard it is very good for digestion. Personally, I was using about 2 ounces in a medium sized salad (maybe 2-3 tablespoons). As far as the juice of half a lemon/half a lime,I've been using a glass that is a full 16 ounces & as everyone will tell you;with gout, the more fresh water the better. Also, people seem to agree on the benefits of doing lots of black cherry juice- say 1qt, daily for pain.

  • @christophercredit thanks alot for the advice.

  • @FrankRocko: I placed a naturopathic approach for gout on my channel. it will remain posted for a few days only. There is also one for kidney stone.

  • been taking allopurinal for the last three years haven;t had an attack since xmas 2006

  • @692ALBANNACH: Remember that that drug will damage your kidneys in the future.

  • @4chango Could be but the alcohol from my youth has a better chance I;m afraid.

  • @692ALBANNACH: That is also true.

  • Hi thanks for sharing your experience. FYI, allopurinol is known to cause a gout attack which is why it is only taken at half strength, as it designed to force excess uric acid out of the body. Normally allopurinol should be taken with other medication such as synflex to reduce swelling and pain until the synflex starts to work. Only problem with allopurinol is that you have to take it daily and constantly.
