I am not a medical student at university , however I am very interested in this subject and at times a little deflated when general practitioners fail to explain anything interesting and assume I will want to remain ignorant.
I have had problems with inflammation and acute pain in my upper left hand side abdomen and have been fobbed off with antacids which clearly are not working and helicobacter pyroli is not present either, still no answers. educating myself is the only answer.
thank you sooooo much doctor... you are really great , the last year i studied histology on your vedios and this year i will do the same with pathology
I don't understand why these 4 people disliked this video, it contains everything that this topic requires, and the explanation is great, and lets say if didn't like so there is always a book they can read from. annoying a bit
You're really lucky - you know that helping others is the best thing someone can achieve in life. I'm a student from Slovenia and i find your videos really helpfull, thank you. Gretings from Slovenia :)
I'm from Finland and applying to med school next year. This goes way beyond what I have to know in the entrance exam, but this is so damn interesting!!!
Thank You so very much for these lectures! You are a great lecturer with a sense of humour! Your students are very lucky to have you (even though they'd watch these at 3 AM with a can of beer...) :)
what would the symptoms be for a diluted formalin injection into tissue? specifically, injection into wound tissue at day 9 postop? Specifically tissue of the groin? Would there be swelling? Would there be pain (hardly, since the formalin would kill the tissue and the nerves in that tissue... perhaps pain at the periphery of the wound?)? If there was no treatment, not even diagnosis of the exposure, for say a year... would chronic inflammation follow acute inflammation?
I have access to the latest online book from the library and when I saw how massive it looked on my screen, my brain tuned it out. So, thank you so much, Dr. for taking the time to share this with us.
Doesnt this depend on the stimulus for the inflammation. e.g. some stimuli dont really elicit an acute response; the inflammatory response can be chronic from onset?
It would be great if you ahve podcasts for your lectures or mp3 versions of it, so I can listen to it as I take my 2hour commute from home to school. :)
fabulous,,,i just wish that i can atend this course under ur supervision pitty me,,however u made a great deal posting it on u tube which lacks the scientific materials,,,thanks alot
i read this chapter already, but that first list was money. I understand things better when i see the big picture, which apparently i missed in chapter 2 (I'm reading Robbin's Basic Pathology 8th edition)
Just in case I forget to post later.. Thanks for theses Path lectures. It may not be in depth, but it is a good, informal review for boards. I like that you just hit the main topics and cut out all the fat.
Keep up the good work.. I look foward to watching more of your videos.
I will watch this whole series now, thank you so much for teaching me.
