I grew up listening to him an seeing him on the Andy Williams Show, Perry Como, etc. We just don't have great singers like this anymore. This is Streisand's favorite singer and it is obvious why. Listen to this voice. Natural with no strain.

In the 50's I used to sit on my porch with a 45 record player and had all J.M. records. This song wasn't out yet but it reminds me of the beautiful sound I listened to when i was young, I knew every word he sang during those years, ans still do 60 years later.No one is comparible. Too bad technology took away the pleasure of listening to original 45's memories.

I saw him in Cleveland, Ohio on April 1 st, 2011...The legend is 75 and still looks great and sounded great!! I had a front row seat too, I would know. I had a smile on my face throughout the entire concert...The happiest time of my life is seeing him sing in person.. What a thrill....God bless YOU JOHNNY MATHIS !!

This song makes me cry a lot. My grandmother unfortunately passed away on Valentines day '08 and she had left me a beautiful porcelain egg which has "My granddaughter, my joy" written on. It has a small flower inside when you open it and plays an instrumental version of this song. Thankyou for posting this.

Well done ReadMeReadYou!!!.........I have enjoyed listening to Johnny for over 50 years!  I met him at the Paramount, in Seattle, about twenty years ago and he was so humble and appreciative of his fans.............he kissed me on the cheek! I plan to see him in Portland, Oregon on Valentine's Day in February, 2011.
