@Rlnthndr The production interior is pretty much EXACTLY the same. The white on the trim panel is not an available color, the horn button, gauge color, radio and shifter are really the only major differences.
@derbydriver the finish makes all the difference. The finish in the production is bland and boring, in this the brushed nickel look makes it look awesome. With the nicer seats and cooler gauges it make the interior of the car have the understated WOW look the exterior has.
The color scheme on the exterior and interior of the Camaro convertible us a beautiful and awesome choice. Congratulations GM, know lets see what the 6th generation Camaro will look like.
Shame on you chevy! how the hell can you pull that one out. the mustang is pussy shit, its gt can hardly compete with the v6 camaro. how can you say that shit. Chevy is killin all the retro combacks with this camaro. the look is folowing the retro trend but the stole no design from ford so what is the big damn deal. common man you cant even put chvy down for this car it will rule the road with modern american muscle!
im a big f-body fan,i even drive a 96 camaro z28. but i have to say im not proud of them with this car, its nice and all dont get me wrong but they stole the old school new school thing from ford with brining back the retro designs, but i do love this car. Shame on you CHEVY!!!!SHAME!!!
I wonder if they still plan to make the Z/28? I think i'll be going for the paddle shift Camaro SS though since I can't afford a Corvette (my dream car).
I'm pretty sure that for $75k you could just get a new Shelby GT500 Super Snake making about 750hp. I was just saying the '04 Cobra was a good buy, Because for about 15k you get about 400 hp. And with some mods you can easily get 500 hp out of it.
This car does not impress bringing back a gas guzzler while the economy is suffering it is a road to non creative ideas its just an old view sold under the name of great muscle car history is not going to cut it a waste of money I think GM needs to get up to gear with rest of the competition and face the challenges in a new era that can provide practical solutions to peoples daily life instead of relying on old consumer tastes
some people can afford fast and powerful, sorry u cant! Gas prices suck but u can thank liberals and opec for that. Gm has stepped up in alot of gears!!! Cobolt has a 4 cylinder with 260 hp. Oh and a new Camaro with 422 hp. Not to mention a tahoe that gets almost 25 mpg. Oh and who buys the cars?? THE CONSUMERS! So their tastes are important.
the sad thing is that you have no idea what you are talking about. The 300hp V-6 is expected to get 26 MPG and the 400hp V-8 is expected to get 24 MPG, which takes them out of the gas guzzler terrirtory. Take your comments back to Dodge and the sub 20mpg Challenger.
Im not a rich guy but I would have no problem with paying 4 dollars/gallon of fuel for this car. It's not my fault that you don't know how to save and properly invest your money. If you want to drive a Toyota that looks like a swollen rollerskate then that is your choice. My choice is power! What does the condition of the economy have to do with this car? We still live in a somewhat free country so I can buy whatever the heck I want. If there is a demand for something a company will make it.
Challenger and Mustang look like the original, with the right look and feel.. generating a lot of interest.. Front and rear of the Camaro exterior are not reminiscent of the original. Its more like the batmobile rather than Camaro. Only diehard Chev fanatics will buy - otherwise forget it
I used to love Camaros, but after seeing all 3 "retro-muscle" cars, I have to say without hesitation the Challenger is by far the best executed. The ONLY drawback is that the interior looks a lot like the Charger, but the overall look and handling are way above the too strange-looking Camaro and the play-it-way-too-safe Mustang. It's easier to be objective when you're 38 years old and mature than when you're 16 and blinded by Chevy loyalty. The last great Camaro is the 1968 RS/SS 4-spd!
Awesome car! I'm defenetely getting one next year when it comes out and I turn 15 in february and then I'll get the convertible when it comes out and I turn 16. I don't care if it gets 1/2 a mile to the gallon and gas is $100 a gallon. I already got a fully equiped 2008 cadillac XLR. I don't have a license but I still drive it. That's just how I roll, I know modelboy07 knows what I'm talking about.
This car is so nice. I don't care how much it costs or what the gas mileage is I am gonna have one when I turn sixteen next year. Or a Cadillac CTS. This is the best convertible ever besides the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster!!!
I believe the Camaro will sport the half cylinder shut down feature where if your not stomping on the gas the car will run on half of the cylinders, but when you do stomp everything will go all out. I remember reading that in Motor Trend in the past. Hopefully they use it in 2009
Sticker should be $45K+ Now include fuel over $4 a gallon and full coverage insurance and you have pretty much eliminated the target group that this vehicle was supposed to reach. I'll hang on to my '93 Z/28...
the SS model top of the range is 35k.. WAY cheaper than the other similarly powered muscle cars. if you already on a Z28 i think fuel is the least of your worries. Your a Camaro lover... so am I... lets all go get muscle cars and crush the greenies.
wut if they engineird it to have a high mpg while mainting horse power it will be sort of a break through kinda like the new fuel cell honda that emits water vapor instead of gas
omg thoose gauges are so sick just like the old cars but jus to tell yu guys if yu think its ugly ur dumb this is an amazing car nothing in this car is done if you look at the newest interior its way better and it will look good but since its an american car the value will go down sson about 2 years after the realses it will be about 15 grand so that kinda suks
i got a 94 camaro..i'm kidna glad they brought it back..but then agian i'm not..cause the car..kkidna ugly.....but they might transform it again..into some more keen to the yee..in a later year
i can't stand gm, there just a bunch of posers, the only reason they are coming out with the f'ing car is because they see that the ford mustang is having total success. same with the new dodge challenger. everything ford did, they are doing too. ford redisigned the 05 mustang and gave it retro styleing and now both are copying the idea. at least ford is actualy original and giving their muscle a glass panoramic roof. if they want to bring back a legend, bring back the ev1.
i love my camaro!
it IS beautiful.
its super fast though!

The only thing I dislike about this car is the ass end. Which is sadly enough for me to keep my v6 Mustang over getting one of these.
