I want this to be good, but after playing socom Confrontation, there is no way in hell that the same people can make a good game that doesn't lag or kick you off at random moments or allow people to walk through walls or just not work period. I would feel more comfortable if Insomniac Games was working on this because they made resistance 2 and that functions pretty smoothly at 60 players. Oh well.

That's what the rep said in this interview, but considering there has been no news or talk of this game since E3, it's safe to say that it won't be coming out any time soon.

I'd guess at this point that it won't release until the second half of 2009, if not even into sometime in 2010. But either way, definitely in the next 1-2 months.

Rumors are just that- rumors. And it as giddy and funny as it probably makes people feel to say "MAG = LAG" all the time, it won't. Sony isn't going to leave a game of this caliber as the final "big" announcement at their E3 conference unless they could follow through.

Look at Resistance 2. I played in the beta, 60 players at once with hundreds of bullets and dozens of explosions, ragdolls, and people on my screen at once with zero lag or framerate drops whatsoever.

If HOME goes over well and is as expansive as it should be (i.e., clan houses, pre-game strategy rooms with interactive maps, etc..) then PS3's online experience will outshine 360 without question. After selling my PS3 and now owning a 360 I want the speed and depth of Warhawk back, as well as all the awesome downloadable games I had on PSN. XBLA is no match. MAG looks amazing and I want to try MGS Online and Little Big Planet too.

Yep, that's the idea. My experience with squads on the Battlefield games for the PC was always really good; it's lots of fun communicating and working as a team, and a large amount of the time will yield better combat results.

I own all three next (current?) gen systems, so don't misinterpret me, but the 360 literally cannot handle a game as big as MAG. You're somewhat wrong saying that its online capabilities "absolutely own" the PS3s. While I do wish people would talk more on the PS3 online like they do on the 360, the PS3 has much better potential for online, being able to support large scale, very detailed worlds online; ie games like Resistance 2 with 60 player online and of course MAG with 256.

Squads aren't clans, they're just temporary groups within an online match consisting of a leader and up to seven other people. Squads are used for organizing the teams and optimally used for more teamwork and communication. Think games like Battlefield 2 or 2142 if you played them.
