  • How much did this beast cost.

  • my friend and i went out shooting in the countryside and he had this gun with him. i had to take a leak and went behind some bushes to do my business, meanwhile he continued to fire and i swear i felt the ground thump whenever he shot this. i wanna get one :D

  • @supersnipah08 This is right out of the box and unsighted. The music was supposed to play off of the fact that we didn't hit anything.

  • People In The World SHould Know That The Dessert Eagle Looks Like Shit When Its In A Competition With The Smith & Wesson .500

  • Those bullet are EXPENSIVE.

  • 1:26 did the cabbage die? O.o

  • I wish i had one of those. How much do they go for in US?

  • @bfox3000 $1000 to $1400 where ive been

  • That vid gave me an idea for a trick shot. Place the cabbage on the log. Shoot the log out from under the cabbage, then while it is flipped up in the air blast the cabbage. I'd love to try / see that one. The loads your using are factory I'm guessing since it's a new gun. A very nice guy at the range let me try his 4" SW 500. What a Monster. With factory loads, not to bad. Then he put a couple hand loads in. Man that gun flipped my arms up about 45 degrees. Powerful and fun. Nice fun vid. Thanks

  • What at are you shooting?

  • pimp music for the most badass pistol

  • Myth busted. If you leave your thumb over the gap between cylinder and barrel, you won't lose it. Unless you have a chicken hand. :P

  • @Beachman42 If you add the compensator attachment , it is about 1/2 as bad of the recoil of the 44.magnum.

  • i love the 500, its a nice gun after you get over the fact that it kicks so hard

  • Damn Cabbage!

  • My god, that thing is amazing! I was thinking it would be really pricey to fire, but I found HSM makes a 20-round box for about 30 bucks. Not as bad as I thought!

  • Show them logs who's boss...

  • i am assuming to sight a gun of that size is pure tiral and error...and a shit load of fun?

  • Congratulations from Brazil! To me,this is the best revolver in the Wourld!

  • for just breaking that sucker in for the first time, you guys did excellent. first time i fired a 500 i smakec my forehead.

  • dont know why you would be embrassed to be a redneck. PROUD TO BE!

  • Thats not a pistol thats a cannon

  • Good video... I really want one of these bad boys lol. How often do you find yourself shooting it considering the price of ammo??

  • My 3 year old is looking to buy a nice gun to Dome shot a kid down the street with. Do you think he will be able to conceal and handle this gun easily? If so please message back.

  • great video man. i LOVE mine... use it deer huntin...even if you miss, you'll scare the deer to death...lol

  • @Beachman42 might wanna let him try the desert eagle .50ae... its recoil is much more managable... the wieght of the gun helps ALOT... plus the cool finishes you can get on it are nice too... you can rent one at alot of ranges in the GA area but i dont know where you are... if you happen to be in the north georgia area and wanna try one, i know a shop up here that has one... PM me if you do...

  • was that a serious question about the song haha, wow

  • Damn you could scare a deer to death with that bad boy

  • "Even if I miss I still can't miss!"

  • nice

  • you need to see my melon blasting with my desert eagle! its a good one! :)

  • cool, very cool video

check out my videos 500 colelsaw

  • cool, very cool video

check out my 500 s&w coleslaw videos

  • @Beachman42 yeah the 44magnum has twice as much recoil compared to the S7W 500 less recoil better accuracy

  • a real workout just holding up the gun huh lol

  • The reason this gun ISNT in any video games because its not overrated or gay

  • The only use i can see with c atridge that big is maybe a african safari

  • haha! love it!

  • thats a big ass side arm

  • You are a redneck and a hick

Nah, nice gun ya got there XD

  • I think this pistol is awesome.

  • beachman42 i dont think smith and wesson 500 is for a 21 one year old because it has a bad kick and it is too powerfull trust me so buy him some weaker pistol and when his older buy him the smith and wesson for now i prefer smith and wesson model 617 and not with those small rounds i lost my eye bbecause of the smith and wesson 500 when i shot it it kicked me in the eye

  • @detenedozreano I'm 15, and I shot about 20 rounds out of one just fine.. It had a massive amount of kick, but lol, it wasn't that bad. I didn't hurt myself with it. The very first shot, it kicked over my head, and I caught it, but after that I was fine.

  • have you tried shooting the 700 grain bullets for this?

  • Sweet Video thanks for the post

  • to those wondering about accuracy the 500 S&W is very accurate and is frequently used in hunting, up to and past 100 yards for deer, moose, bison etc

  • is there a reason to add music over the video!? we don't want to hear the music!

  • @RedDragonAirsoft Unfortunately at the time it seemed like a good idea. Now I know longer have the raw footage or else I definitely would post it without the music.

  • @RedDragonAirsoft at least the music isn't taking over all the other sounds

  • @RedDragonAirsoft i do! it adds dramatic affect and makes it feel more bad ass

  • after seeing this i don't think i want to fire one.

  • thats some big recoil.

how much does 1 bullet cost ?

  • ....use a compensater.....problem solved

  • @fastmoob they come with them thats with it on

  • Whats the song in the background?

  • @joshjooh Queen - Another One Bites the Dust

  • Uh I am going to be dticking with my 357, and 41 mag thank you. Though nice gun, seen one and held on in my had today. He wanted 1000 for it.

  • @jander14 Why the FUCK would you shoot a colerabi!!!??? They're delicious.

  • @joshjooh wow i cant believe you dont know queen

  • @joshjooh Another One bites the dust

  • Before i heard of this one, i thought the Desert Eagle was the most powerful handgun...

  • i was originally going to purchase a 12 gauge when i got my own home for protection, but I'm thinking one of these may be better/more accurate

  • What is the price of a new/used .500 mag S&W and how bad is the recoil? Some videos it doesn't seem bad, and in others it seems evil. I'm a seasoned shooter. I've shot and hit good targets with just about every general caliber of rifle, shotgun. I'm looking to get a fun pistol for a CCW - let me know thanks.

  • I'm looking into my CCW - about how much does a .500 S$W run? How much is the ammo? I was looking into buying an FN five seven after I graduate college, which I still will - but I was hoping it being S&W the price might be around $300-$600.

  • You can reduce the recoil by firing 300 grain bullets with a starting load of powder in a performance center 10.5 inch barrel. Recoil for stated above is equal to shooting a 240 grain bullet from a .44 mag Super Redhawk with a 7.75 non ported barrel. The weight of the 10.5 inch barrel 500 helps to tame the recoil also. I am sure that the larger bullets 400-700 grain will produce more recoil.

  • The .500 Mag can be a managable round given it is fired in the performance center model with the 10.5 inch ported barrel. The weight of the gun helps to tame the recoil. Also the use of 300 grain bullets with a starting load of powder will reduce the recoil.

  • Does it really kick your arms up straight above your head? Looks like they 'acted' a bit.

  • you gave someone a smith and Wesson 500 their first time shooting? umm two things 1, that is way too much gun for some one new to shooting, and 2 your cousin most likely has no idea how mush power that has.

  • @qulqunick it was his first time shooting the pistol not the first time shooting

  • even though the SW500 is significantly stronger, Smith & Wesson specifically engineered it with a Muzzle Compensator to frees most of the bullets energy minimizing recoil...its a big handgun so aim will be off at first

  • my son just tuned 15, and he wants one of these, but want to get him a Glock or a Sig Sauer as they come with a safety button, and this does not!

    any suggestions?

  • @jordana8899 do not get him this. its a big gun and its cool looking but if he cant hold it it can severlyt hurt him

  • @jordana8899 you and your son are both idiots ! why would you want to buy a massive gun for a child?! these are for elphants

  • Haha .. necessary only for elephants?

  • Significantly more.

  • who cares if he hit it or not your a bigger target i bet he wont miss

  • Well since this is the biggest caliber you can get in a handgun (to my knowledge) the people shooting are just anticipating too much before they pull the trigger therfore their trigger pull is off. Thats just my thought.

  • @ruski1001 i'd have to say you are completely wrong on that since THEY ARE MY FAMILY and are very knowlegdable on many many weapons thell that target area is right next to the house so yeah WRONG

  • how much did you pay for it? i found a used 1 for 985 and i was wondering if that sounded about right

  • mine was $900 used. 8'' barrel with the original case and all the documents. then another $60 for a 20 cound box of rounds lol

  • Rifle+Pistol= SW 500 easy math

  • ehi man i respect you if you say, don't coment any offensive shit, is becouse you don't want anyone sayin' stupid shit, and also, i love that gun, yeah man you're lucky for having one of the best gun ever created: the smith & wesson 500 magnum! even say its name is painful to my soul, i want one"!! ( but i'm poor)

  • Huge Handcannon, funkadelic music, only thing that would make it better would be a disco costume. =] pretty cool video

  • 0:03 THAT THING IS HUGE

  • You almost don't need to actually hit the target. Just the air displacement from the round would be enough. :)

THAT is a fine piece of "shootin' iron".

  • how the fuck do u miss that close with a 440 grain bullet...pretty sad im sure the cowboys r proud....lol

  • You, like many before you, are nothing more than a headache for me to respond to. To future posters; PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING DUMB LIKE THIS GUY DID.

  • to bad the cowboys choice of gun was usally a 357 and i highly doubt the cowboys were walking around with modern days guns and i will bet that samG has nvr shot a 500 in his life bet good money at the

  • @abcgimp Really? try .45 colt. The .357 didn't exist until the 1930's.

  • Neat gun but I'd never own one. Too expensive to shoot and I know (I admit it) would not be comfortable shooting it, therefore my aim accuracy would be off. I suppose you can have ammo loads with less punch. For the average shooter, shooting freestanding I just don't think its a great target gun, but must be heck of a lot of fun.

  • So how much moneydid you blow sighting it in correctly...even if you sighted it correctly...your hand is still moving so its not going to be super accurate unless your resting it on something

  • hott

  • sure it`s powerful and has a powerful recoil and stoppage but is it accurate?

  • Read the description. We hadn't sighted it in yet. This is literally straight from the box to firing. We hadn't set the sights up or anything yet. He now uses this for deer hunting, so its pretty accurate.

  • HE uses that monster for DEER?! theres not goin to be much left after he blows it to smitereens.

but i can see it would be fun to do

  • @ARVIGERARD i'm sure just having it pointed in your general dirction whould be plenty to stop you in your tracks i've held THAT gun its my cousins, he likes his desert eagle too

  • wtf are they shooing? a head of lettuce

  • It's colerabi, close to lettuce.

  • I had a buddy in the military fire one, three days later I saw him at work again. He still had the impression from the grip texture in his hand.

  • sick do you think your can blow up a toilet with that gun?

  • i would recommend a little less kick for his first gun

  • Aside from the traditional way, I just found another use for the S&W 500....gourmet salad. I can jack-up the price of the gourmet salad price. People will line to shoot and make their own salad. The more veggie, the more they shoot, the more money. I need a non-lead bullet and a clean shooting-kitchen.

  • learn how to aim!

  • Read the description. Thanks!

  • lol, its a brand new gun that hasnt been sighted AND its the guys first time shooting it. Lets see you pick it up and hit the target first go with a .50cal un sighted handgun that you have never fired before LOL

  • $40 for a 20 round box of Winchester white box at CheaperThanDirt.

  • YEAH KICK HIS ASSSSS !

  • "How much money did you just blow away?" So are the rounds for this really expensive?..

    Blast at 1:44, powder burning??

  • yall deffinately arent irish, shooting those cabages. tisk tisk

  • we are norwiegen :P those are my cousings and uncle

  • how dear you hurt that innocent head of lettuce!-lol

  • hey isnt that george clooney! 0:55

  • lol gotta love my family and my uncles laugh lol good times at his house there haha

  • how much did it cost u??

  • more important...how much for a box of shells?

  • Nice.

    Still not bad though.

My .338 runs me about $3 a cartridge.

I like to make a trip to the range at least once a month and fire at least 60-100 rounds each through my 30-06(my target rifle) and my .338winmag(my hunting rifle)

So handloading was a no-brainer, easily cut my costs by 60%

Of course the 30-06 I can still get bulk surplus ammo for about 30cents a round, but I like to load match ammo.

What's the case capacity on the .500?

    I'm leaning toward a .460

  • that gun is sick

  • are you shooting cole robby

  • Yup

  • how much does one cost?????

  • Those are so much fun to shoot. Most powerful handgun I've ever fired. Not quite as much of a nail-driver as a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag, but still fun to fire.

  • It's not sighted in yet so yeah...

  • It's not sighted in properly yet and we actually reload our own rounds so it's not that bad.

  • It's unsighted at this point and we reload our own ammo.

  • magnum flinch anyone?

  • o right..... nice.... queen and .50 cal pistol

  • thats my cousins BIOTCHS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man, looks like fun.

Recommend you invest in a good set of weight-lifting gloves before you take that bad boy for a spin again!

  • what the hell were you shooting at? coconuts?

  • It's like a cabbage.

  • hows the recoil. i want to get a 9 inch

  • lol tht kinda hurt

  • Thats a .44 the .500 is like twice the size and has three times the recoil. .44 is still very very powerfull.

  • not even close mate. this is the 500 as advertised. no .44 kicks like that

  • That is a .500 A .44 doesn't kick that much. Did you watch more than the first 2 seconds of the video?

  • Oh God.. I soooo love this weapon.

  • Next stop wrist doctor!!!

  • Nice gun. It must be great to be able to shoot in your own backyard.

  • Jeez... take a military-strength repeating rifle designed for penetrating the exterior of a helicopter, and make it into a handgun. I think this is just too much power for a handgun. All the same, I'm going to go shopping for one when I get my birthday money. Gotta love Texas! Get anything you want.

  • how much did you pay for that and how much is ammo for it

  • It's not my gun, so I don't know. Sorry.

  • the gun can run from 1,000.00 all the way up to 1800.00.ammo is pretty cheap.

  • ive seen em as low as 700 and at around $1.50 a shot, far from cheap ammo lol, but fun to shoot, ive got the one with teh 4" bbl

  • you people can pound it!!!!!!! The guy in the hat was tappin it!!!!!!

  • u miss that close with a scope?!?!?!

  • It's the mount for the scope. We hadn't sighted it in yet.

  • i bet its expensive as hell to site in a gun like that

  • I want one!

  • And, Senator Chuck Schumer claims this gun is finding its way into the hands of criminals! Show me a petty thug that could accurately handle this gun!

  • hand guns aren't really made for accurate aiming , they're made to shoot using your senses. if you want to accurately aim at something, use a rifle.

  • that is very true

  • @cbellis23 i know and first off it's not the cheapest revolver and I can promise you they will never hit anything with it, but innocent people

  • can you please make a video of just your uncle matt...laughing, please? even better, make a video of your dad, matt and mike laughing at eachother for a while. probably the funniest thing i have ever witnessed.

  • What the hell! This shit is str8 fo real. This one and the Desert Eagle both are crazy with a massive recoil. I ain't sayin non else bout this. You guys rock with dat shit fo real.

  • nah that the strongest handgun in the world i got 1

  • correct!

  • Nice shooting video dude. Good to see some honest footage with the misses as well as the hits.

The cheapest I've found some ammo locally is some Win 350 grain HP at 34.95 for a box of 20rnds. Better for practice as a little cheaper and less recoil.

  • Well dang! I'll say! That thing is just as bad as the Desert Eagle, if not worse. Yeah, it's powerful, but its kickback is a little too much to control, especially if you can't hit the target (IF you were trying to do so). I'm sorry, but you wouldn't catch me dead in a gunfight with that hand cannon. LMAO!

  • cabbage?

  • Out of pure curiosity, how long is the gun?

  • That one appears to be the standard 8 3/8" barrel. I have one identical to it.

  • cant wait to get mine.

  • lol 1:00 jeeze, does it realli hurt to shoot it?

  • nice dude.

  • shot one of these a few months back at a gun show. the recoil was not bad at all and the gun was very easy to control the long barreled .460 actually kicked alot harder.

  • the recoil on these rifles is amazing. can you imagine getting one of the survival models used for bear hunting and other big game with a 3 in barrel! ouch

  • pistol..

  • LMAO, with how strong the kickback and power it has, it should be considered a rifle. Nah, I'm playin', I know my firearms so you don't have to crucify me.

  • Looks like fun, but I value my wrists.

  • Great handgun. Its a bit powerful for most use. I always keep mine with me when I'm up north fishing, in bear country. Never had to use it, but I'm glad I have it, worst case.

  • Same here friend. I don't want to have to use it because I won't have hearing protection on while I'm fishing, and my ears would ring for days after the blast from that thing. But I guess the bear would feel even worse. Unless, of course, I miss. Than I would feel worse.

  • a little bit of ke? nah couldnt be. haha i cant wait to get one

  • those boxes of ammo are like $40.00 A pop for 12 rds.

  • $52 to $75 per box of 50 at Ballistic Supply.

Best price I've found outside of reloading yourself.

  • did anyone else catch that really weird "Jeez" at 1:00? God it's so amazing.
