I'm no believer of God, please don't take offense to that.. but I am highly happy to see that such extensive work was performed to save your life and that you made it <3 Good on you to keep fighting and show all of us that you -can- make it out of the worst of situations when you think your life is about to end. awe I'm sorry you had to go through a tbi as well. Its been 3 years since mine. I'm still not 100% either but have high hopes to getting as close to that as possible one day. Don't give up hope. I've been told even up to 10 years your brain still has healing to do. It just takes a very long time to heal, unlike a broken bone
no not really .I obviously had to have enough drugs though to keep me alive and still until they could put my brain back into my head. But it was not a Coma as you would think complete unconsciousness bc I was still responding to my family once they got to the hospital.

@soroxor1 Oh yeah /i had major depression for a while but I also suffer from post traumatic stress disorder now. All I can tell you is keep your head up because it does get better.I promise. Its been almost 3 yrs since my wreck. You have a lot of life to live yet, let that be your motivation

They played it at my brohters funeral he died the day after my birthday in a car crash he was asleep in the passanger seat and the hit a tractor trailer head on. he was 22 I was 13 at the time and still havent gottin over it the last words to him were i love you bro.

Now, I do not know the cause of yours, but I know today teen texting and such is at an all time high. I have premonitions of my own self being involved in accidents on a daily basis... Were you dreaming? Nothing? Like sleeping and then waking up with the "where am I?" feeling? Lucid dreams? Sorry if you already answered someone else asking similar questions.
@ryanexpress34 Its hard to explain. more of like sleeping except I remembered everything I heard. I just couldn't respond because I had a vent tube in my throat. I never went into a coma or anything though. No dreams at all and I didn't not see heaven or hell. a lot of people ask me that one, but I never officially "died". My body was just in shock from all of the blood loss, and bc my brain was no longer completely attached.:(

Your very brave with going through the surgery I have an injury as well and no surgery has been able to do anything because my organ is gone. I later made a discovery that calling on God during a lucid dream heals my injury and God is saving my life right now.

I'm really happy for you that you recovered so amazingly and so quickly. I think it's important to say though that it is not always God's will to heal on this earth. For the sake of those who are still suffering in the midst of their belief in God's goodness-suffering does not always make sense but we have to hang on to the fact that it will do some day. i was also in a head on collision the thruck that hit us was going 54 mph, and we were going 50.. it was horrible after i saw the truck i told my self whoa only God could have saved me from this car accident.. thats crazy.. but hey good job, stay strong in your beliefes with jesus christ great path to walk remmeber he loves you.. i was in a car accident, head on going 110 km/hr broke my back in 3 places 2 ribs and my ankle.. was paralyzed for 30-40 mins (gave my spinal cord a concusion), nurses and my parents put their hands on me and prayed and i could feel my legs again :) went from crying like a school girl to crying for joy lol still have plates and screws in my back but i dont mind cuz i can walk .. happy your alive! i can totally relate

Sometimes He allows these things to happen to us, so that we remember THAT INDEED HE IS THE LORD GOD OF ALL FLESH AND THERE WILL NEVER BE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR HIM. You unlike many who draw away from God the moment something bad happens to them forgetting the story of Job, you rather drew closer to Him. It is not be our might nor strength but by his Spirit. So what caused the accident? Two friends of mine recently died in an accident due to speeding(htey were going over 100 mph)and the third person survived even tho he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and got thrown from the car.
I got chills watching this because I had a similiar experience. My wreck was October 28, 2007. It is amazing the miracles that God can create. With this I have learned to never take anything for granted and to cherish everyday you are alive because you never know when something to this calibur could occur.

@anniemae1245 but if they did, they'd be able to see what you're thinking!!! Not the most tactful joke...but glad you are okay. I have a friend who went through virtually the same ordeal, but has lasting brain damage. He is not the same person. God protected me, my girlfriend was in town for one night (the night of the accident). If that wouldn't have been the case, I would have been in the back seat of the car. The back seats were completely crushed and non-existent.

I don't believe in that positive thinking stuff. You survived, that's awsome. If you died, that would be even better because you would be with Jesus. Phillippeans 1:21 "To live is Christ and to die is gain" God decides your life. Your negative thoughts and positive thoughts don't decide wheter you live or die. It's all apart of Gods plan. Oh, I feel so bad... I was in a car accident with my mom when I was 10 and now I'm twelve! The car tipped over and we rolled down and we got into the ambulance and drove then in the hospital they tell us the car exploded! I got stitches in my hand it was a miracle! we survived anothe accident on may too! that's when I was 11! God does have the power!

i was in a car accident that i swear i'm lucky to be typing right now...what had happened that this drunk driver came up behind my mom and rirended her and caused her to go in the four way and before she could move a car going 70-80mph hit us in the drivers side...i was flown out of the car and was found in the feild a couple feet a way from the car me and my mom was life flighted to the hospital i was released 3-4weeks later i broke my arm,leg,pelvic,and punkshered a lung my mom broke her back

Where you wearing a seat belt? I was in a bad bike accident, and landed on my face, but made a full recovery, only a small scar. Just a pedal bike, but I was doing 35 Km/Hr, easy.

I empathize with you, I lost both of my parents to a car crash when I was 16. Im now 20 years old and am finally starting to value life. I was burying my sorrows with abuse of alcohol. I have now been sober for just over 140 days. I have yeah had an awakening. I am sorry to hear about your tradgety & wish you the best. Check out my video's and tell me what you think about them.

@TheID3000 no not normal at all.I lost use in the left side of my body and have been in therapy for 2 years now working to get it back.Its definitely not been easy. It made it especially hard bd I was an athlete in college and felt as trhough I had lost it all but I know oneday I'll be playing again:)
emts dont have people to take potos of crashes. One they would need the person in the crash to say it was ok or the parents. Im an emt and we never have people with us taking pictures.
@sunsetreptiles Well i wasn't awake or looking at whoever took the pics all i know is the emts told me where I could find the pics online I found them so there the are. I'm not reallysure But maybe ya'll just don't have a personwho takes pics doesnt meanthat this particular department does not, And my ok wasnt asked for or my parents but parents werent needed bc I was 23, But regardless they have my permision now to use those pics for watever. They saved my life so nothing else matters to me

I'm really happy for you that you recovered so amazingly and so quickly. I think it's important to say though that it is not always God's will to heal on this earth. For the sake of those who are still suffering in the midst of their belief in God's goodness-suffering does not always make sense but we have to hang on to the fact that it will do some day. i was also in a head on collision the thruck that hit us was going 54 mph, and we were going 50.. it was horrible after i saw the truck i told my self whoa only God could have saved me from this car accident.. thats crazy.. but hey good job, stay strong in your beliefes with jesus christ great path to walk remmeber he loves you.. i was in a car accident, head on going 110 km/hr broke my back in 3 places 2 ribs and my ankle.. was paralyzed for 30-40 mins (gave my spinal cord a concusion), nurses and my parents put their hands on me and prayed and i could feel my legs again :) went from crying like a school girl to crying for joy lol still have plates and screws in my back but i dont mind cuz i can walk .. happy your alive! i can totally relate

So what caused the accident? Two friends of mine recently died in an accident due to speeding(htey were going over 100 mph)and the third person survived even tho he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and got thrown from the car.

I got chills watching this because I had a similiar experience. My wreck was October 28, 2007. It is amazing the miracles that God can create. With this I have learned to never take anything for granted and to cherish everyday you are alive because you never know when something to this calibur could occur.

@anniemae1245 but if they did, they'd be able to see what you're thinking!!! Not the most tactful joke...but glad you are okay. I have a friend who went through virtually the same ordeal, but has lasting brain damage. He is not the same person. God protected me, my girlfriend was in town for one night (the night of the accident). If that wouldn't have been the case, I would have been in the back seat of the car. The back seats were completely crushed and non-existent.

I don't believe in that positive thinking stuff. You survived, that's awsome. If you died, that would be even better because you would be with Jesus. Oh, I feel so bad... I was in a car accident with my mom when I was 10 and now I'm twelve! The car tipped over and we rolled down and we got into the ambulance and drove then in the hospital they tell us the car exploded! I got stitches in my hand it was a miracle! we survived anothe accident on may too! that's when I was 11! God does have the power!

i was in a car accident that i swear i'm lucky to be typing right now...what had happened that this drunk driver came up behind my mom and rirended her and caused her to go in the four way and before she could move a car going 70-80mph hit us in the drivers side...i was flown out of the car and was found in the feild a couple feet a way from the car me and my mom was life flighted to the hospital i was released 3-4weeks later i broke my arm,leg,pelvic,and punkshered a lung my mom broke her back

Where you wearing a seat belt? I was in a bad bike accident, and landed on my face, but made a full recovery, only a small scar. Just a pedal bike, but I was doing 35 Km/Hr, easy.

I empathize with you, I lost both of my parents to a car crash when I was 16. Im now 20 years old and am finally starting to value life. I was burying my sorrows with abuse of alcohol. @TheID3000 no not normal at all.I lost use in the left side of my body and have been in therapy for 2 years now working to get it back.Its definitely not been easy. It made it especially hard bd I was an athlete in college and felt as trhough I had lost it all but I know oneday I'll be playing again:)

emts dont have people to take potos of crashes. One they would need the person in the crash to say it was ok or the parents. Im an emt and we never have people with us taking pictures.

I'm not reallysure But maybe ya'll just don't have a personwho takes pics doesnt meanthat this particular department does not, And my ok wasnt asked for or my parents but parents werent needed bc I was 23, But regardless they have my permision now to use those pics for watever. They saved my life so nothing else matters to me
