*Sigh* I used to love Leliana especially because her views about the Maker seemed to be almost the complete opposite of the Chantry's teachings (she didn't believe the Maker had abandoned his children, etc.). But now she's the right hand of the Divine... And the way she speaks about the Circle of Magi sounds like she agrees with the Chantry locking up mages... Arrrg... I feel like I've just lost my best friend! Most disappointing cameo EVER.

She's still part of the Chantry, though. At the heart of its teachings is a prejudice against mages - it was formed as a rebellion against the Imperium after all. Even for all her progressivism, this scene just represents that there are some things being a lay sister will never shake off, and a dislike or suspicion of mages is one of them.

@Falor5151 I know...  It's just I guess I expected a bit more from her. She seemed much more open-minded in DAO. For example, I have many friends who consider themselves Christians, although they are completely at odds with certain "values" or "rules" taught by their religion. For example, they don't think having sex before marriage is wrong, and they are completely in favor of gay marriage (they see all forms of love as being equal). I'd have expected Leliana to be a little more like that.

She didn't break up so to speak but if you read the epilogue, it says that the Warden vanished after sometime, even if the player didn't play Witch hunt.

As for the faces, keep in mind, this is like 7-10 years after Origins at that point. Alistair has gotten a little chubby and older as king and well Zev does look a bit weird. I thought Leliana is cute in this one.

Or the fact that she gives retarded advice until you strip away her veneer-- and then she's a stone cold bitch? @iamjason Keep in mind, at the end of Dragon Age Origins and Awakening, it says the hero vanished without a trace. Playing Witch Hunt, players can speculate that they took Morrigan's offer to go through the Eluvian for either the baby or her but either way, the epilogue states that the hero is missing.

@iamjason No. From what I understand, their respective duties to the Divine and the Wardens took them to different parts of the continent. They were suppose to meet up but again their duties kept them apart. After the Warden finishes up in Amaranthine he travels to Leliana.

But she mentions here to the Champion that she hasn't seen him in some years. This implies that the Warden disappears before he could reach her.

@iamjason Nope, it's a bug. IF you import a savegame from DA:O's Add-ons (in my case Witchhunt) you'll get the same answer ( ...many years ago), even though I romanced her. If you just take a savegame from DA:O you'll get the "dear to her heart" answer. It's because the DA2 checks the approval ratings from the savegame you choose and since Leliana doesn't appear in neither Witchhunt nor Awakening...you get her telling Hawke that she hasn't seen him/her for many years...

@iamjason If you import a game form Awakening or Witch Hunt, the romance flags won't check correctly. So if you load ONLY from Origins, it should work. I don't know for sure since I played through Origins, Awakening and Witch Hunt with the same Warden.
