Well I choose 2K because in 2K I don't miss any wide open three pointers with Anthony Morrow when I draw thw defense with Curry while using the anolog stick WITH Morrow's energy/stamina full. Now tell me how many wide open shots you miss online with any player in Live. Exactly 2k ftw.

used to always get live games even when they were on the gamecube but recently i switched to 2k. Much better in my opinion. Every year there'd be some glitch people would find in live and would use against me like nba live 09 you could get shaq to jump horizontally 10 feet and dunk it. crazy, but now in 2k10 feels much more realistic glad i made a switch

NBA 2k8 & NBA live 08 were my favorite. I think that was a golden year for this generation of sports video game consoles. I even loved madden 08 (even though I'm so much worse in that than Madden 09). NBA live and 2k became more linear in 2009. IMO

live has a little too much contact, and 2k has no contact in the paint. too many contact animations in live because you rely on the x button...your guy could have slipped around the man but decides to take a double clutch layup. and 2k10 is just full of cheesers.you can press the x button all day because you'll strip the ball half the time on shot attempts (play a GOOD cheeser and you'll know what I mean) and the lead passing is bullshit unless you play off ball.

The one thing i missed in translation from swithcing to 2k from Live was the right stick dribbling. There's nuffin like personally crossing someone up and gettin a shot or a dunk. I wish 2k would quit being foolish and just steal it.

Yeah i love the handling in this game. But the problem with Live is that driving baseline at full speed is too unstoppable. I win games scoring 30 points with two people just doing that. But the way you can control a person is unbelievable. How and what way to crossover and the way you can control how far back you fade away. The special crossovers for each person. Its a good game. 2K is for features. Live is for game play.

The only problem I have always had with 2k is the control scheme. Also the post game in 2k has been horrible. That alone was enough to steer me away from it. I've have given that game a fair try and I can concluded isomotion is not the business. EA revolutionized video game BB with the freestyle system. It has had it quirks with graphics and glitches but all games do. I'll admit, Live has had some bad moments, but not enough to switch to a control scheme that simply horrible. I standing by Live.
