  • WOW GREAT JOB! =]

  • Rebecca,

Absolutely love your Videos.......You even choose the perfect soudtrack!!! Please tell me who is playing the beautiful instrumental song!!!!!

  • @Lizmanski45 The song is Joy to the world by Vinny Falcone... purchased from Premium beats.. a "Royalty Free" website. I'm so glad you liked it :-) RR

  • Your 99th video led me here.... Can't wait to see your 100th video!

  • @kevico2 awee... Thank you so much. I'm really excited about #100... We had an emergency with my video editor last week but its been resolved and I hope to have #100 up by the weekend! Thanks for keeping an eye out! I appreciate the awesome support! RR

  • All the white and glitter go so well. Makes interior looks spacious becoz of white walls.

  • How to decorate with less budget, and hassle free but still looks wonderful for a small home?

  • I bought clear lights. I want too put them in my room. I have no idea where to put them. Any advice for where to put them?

  • @music4bnm It's kind of hard to give advice on a room I have never seen but let me give it a try.. :-)

Here are some suggestions... At the entry to your room... lights around the doorway can be cool. On top of your window treatments.. (if you have them) Definitely behind the bed ... makes a great first impression :-) Good luck and let me know how it goes :-) RR

  • I would love to see more pictures of the tree in video 1 (the white and red themed tree)... That is my theme this year and from what I see, it looks gorgeous! I loved all of your videos and especially love the hanging snowflakes. Also, do you have any tips on hiding the electrical cords on Christmas lights? I'm going to spray paint tree branches white and silver and add glitter to them. I also want to add clear lights, but I'm not sure what to do with the cords. Any suggestions?

  • I'm watching this video exactly a year after it was posted (:

  • When will you start decorating for 2011?

  • your dog is adorable <3

  • What advice can you give me on where to start when you have to decorate multiple rooms, including kitchen and baths? I have grabbed alot of ideas from you but Im so overwhelmed and I get so confused once Im out shopping. How can I keep one concept in my plan without feeling like...."I quit"? :-)

Signed~ Im sick of looking at these white walls.

  • OMG @tailynn82, Are you referring to your home as a whole or are you commenting on Christmas decorating? Two very different things! If Christmas, choose a theme based on budget, what you have and how much you can afford to add. Great design is based on what you DO with what you have, more than what you actually HAVE!

Watch my whole series and take notes of principals more than specifics. Apply the principals and you will be alright. If this is about your home decor... call me! ;-) RR

  • OMG! Your designs are awesome. I've been a floral designer for 22 years so I have a great appreciation for beautiful designer trees. Yours are absolutely gorgeous! I love the openness of your design, how you choose colors that compliment your theme. You are a delight to watch. I'll be looking for you 2011 creations.

  • @sharperules Thank you so much, That is a very nice compliment coming from a professional. Thank you.

Holiday 2011 is just around the corner :-) RR

  • I like the idea of a color scheme...it's just too much money to change up your decorations every year..

  • @MiasDanceVideos... Its true ... it does cost money ... but, I believe a creative mind that thinks beyond the obvious can create a different feel and scheme each year without costing a lot of money. Its about the talent .. more than the money...

I kinda wish had the time to prove my theory..... I believe I could do it!

    Rebecca

  • I can not wait to see your decorations this year!

  • @outerandinnerbeauty Me too.... I have made up my mind on the theme, but now it looks like we might be spending Christmas in Chicago with our son Scott. If that happens my Christmas decor will likely be affected... Its a lot of work if we are not going to be here! I'm still deciding ... we'll see :-) RR Thanks for watching and leaving a comment :-)

  • omg loving it !!!!

  • Please, please tell me where you got / purchased your peacock. It's so lifelike and beautiful. I"m from Canada, perhaps you can guide me as to where I might be able to purchase it. Or PM me with the details.... Thanks RR!!! Lynn (Ontario, Canada)

  • Hi @kevico2, I purchased the Peacock from a wholesale floral design supply source called "The Natural Touch"

They have since gone out of business as a result of the down economy. Bummer, I know. This does not mean the manufacturer went out of business, just the local supplier. I would check out your local floral suppliers as well as doing an exhaustive google search... Good luck, RR

  • I'm a bit of a freak, it's late August and I'm looking towards my Christmas decor already. I bought burgundy and pewter ribbons and ornaments on clearance last year - and I'll use it with with a heavily flocked fake tree and the silver, crystal, and frosted ornaments I already have - can't wait to see how it will turn out!

  • wow, i love how everything just comes together...i love the colors and the decorations...it's so beautiful...i hope one day i can be an amazing decorator like you one day....

  • I Cant wait for Chritmas i have a boy who is four and this christmas i want to be the best. I gotta come up with some amazing ideas

  • Great Decorating ideas!!!! Thank You.... I need suggestions for choosing a color scheme for my White Christmas tree, anyone have any ideas?

  • Hi @JiggaM123, Gosh... just about anything looks good on white. Except maybe rally rustic hand made ornaments. I sat here and tried to think of a color I wouldn't like on a white tree and I can't think of any... you could do multi jeweled colors, a black and white tree, pink and black french tree, peacock tree with teals, blues and greens. all white and gold, a soft lavender victorian theme... lime green and orange, So, I guess that means, the skys the limit!! Have fun! RR

  • Liked and added to favs. I would love to see what you do for not only Easter, but fall/Halloween etc :D I love Christmas and not just during xmas time, I keep it in my heart year round. • go to giftyoutube (dot) com

  • YESTERDAY IS HERE.

  • I love, love, love your Christmas tree video. I got so much inspiration from it. (:

My tree, uses the same techniques as the ones you used with the ornaments. That is in of course, depth, cutting all tags and not over doing it.

I'm 15, and planning on decorating my room with the resources that are available to me. I look to your videos for inspiration. Thanks!

  • Oh, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. This is the way I'd like to decorate for Christmas. My dream is to one day have a Christmas tree (size appropriate of course) in every room of the house like my grandmother. She has the cutest little laundry room/mud room tree with clothes pins, washboards, rubber boots (doll sized), & various other "laundry/mudroom accessories", so cute. Anyway, you definately give me inspiration. I wish you a beautiful & blessed Holiday Season & a prosperous New Year.

  • is goo

  • so beautiful!!! awww

  • Hi

  • i love your style!! thanks so much for theses videos!!!!!

  • i always do my whole home as well, my family kid me by saying (i have a mall-not a house) but, it is what keeps me happy, i have found the 3m hooks is marvelous. I AM GLAD I STUMBLED ON THIS VID. THANK YOU

  • Thank you @justdreadest, for commenting on several of my videos :-) I appreciate the positive feedback. I saw too that you became a subscriber of my channel. I try to upload new and current design ideas every week continually bringing design inspiration to real people. WELCOME :-) RR

  • @justdreadest I can't agree more on the 3m hooks. I use them a lot as well, these things are like the bedrock of any designs =)

  • i love your style

  • I love your style!! Really beautiful ideas. I especially like how well organized and motivational you are. I have watched several of your videos, and have drawn much inspiration from them. Thank you!!!

  • That is so nice to hear @DesignsbyMechelle, I hope you and your family have a wonderful and beautiful Christmas this year ;-) RR

  • I love your style!! Really beautiful ideas. I especially like how well organized and motivational you are. I have watched several of your videos, and have drawn much inspiration from them. Thank you!!!

  • Wow, I love the "Wise Men Still Seek Him" on the outside of your home! Very true statement, and very clever thing to think of!

  • I love all the different decorations. I can tell these are past years because your walls are a different color than on your newest videos. Pretty cool to see how a lot of your furnishings are the same, just the wall color changed. It shows what painting can do to make a completely different look and feel in a home. I saw red sofas in some of the shots... Don't tell me you bring in different furniture for Christmas!! You Would! lol. I learn so much from you. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

  • I'm just watching everything in your series again and taking actual notes. I love what you have taught me. Thank you. Just watched video# 4 in your series....It was not only beautiful and informative, it was funny too !!

  • Hi Rebecca, I decorated my tree this weekend... earlier than usual :-) You inspired me and I went for it. It looks amazing. I used the ice cycles and snow flakes like you did but did the red balls. It still looks soooo beautiful! When is video 4 going to be up?

  • Hi Rebecca, do you know of a way to hang the snowflakes from the ceiling without putting holes or marring the paint? I've wanted to do that for some time and saw your tree has that design up. Thank you :)

  • Hi @mirasango, My snowflakes are hung with simple off-white thread. I have found clear fishing line catches the light and draws more attention than the off white thread does. I also use t-pins to poke the holes in the ceiling. The holes the t-pin leaves is much smaller than even the smallest nail. Its more like the size of a needle. I find, I don't even have to patch the holes after I take them down :-) I do paint the "T" part of the pin the color of the ceiling RR... video 4 up soon....

  • @robesondesign Thank you so much for responding, I am going to try it this weekend. :) Have a Merry Christmas!

  • Love this vid. So gets me in the mood for CHRISTMAS :-)

  • This is so Amazing. I cant wait to get my decorations down from the attic. Thanks for getting me excited!

  • Wow the tree looks beautiful with all the white motifs and your living room is gorgeous.

  • Thank you so much! @rxqueen602 RR

  • The little girl at the tree is so sweet. Makes Christmas doesn't it! I have my decorations out of storage and needed a boost to get started. Now I'm pumped!

Thanks again for all you do here.

  • I'm sure your house is INCREDIBLE for Christmas @candiceolsin .. but Thanks for always being so supportive :-) RR

  • Where are you shopping for all these great decorations? Beautiful!

  • @tanzinitte, I shop at a lot of different places. Some are wholesale only floral supply stores like Shinoda But I also pick up things at random stores like Zgallery, Pier 1 imports, Nordstrom, Anthropology, and small local shops in San Diego where I live. I'm glad you liked the video. I wish you wonderful and beautiful Christmas!

  • You should let everyone know about the video response you did for What the Buck. It shows even more of your AMAZING home! I love getting more than one view of everything.

  • I just watched the gift wrap vids. Totally informative I loved them. Thanks so much Rebecca

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • It is all so beautiful. Tuumbs up for sure. I have started decorating a few weeks ago, more to go. I am looking forward to seeing what you will be posting after this. And a Very Merry Christmas to You and yours.

    David.

  • I'm ready to come home to this beautifully decorated house!!

  • awww @sharrahrobeson, I recognize your name from the video about your room. It was fabulous and I left a comment for your mom about how much I loved it. You must not live at home anymore? What a shame. I hope you were able to take your room with you ... haha.

It's nice to see that you follow your moms videos. She has been a blessing to me and probably a lot of other people as she openly share so much from her home and life. I just love her too!

  • Your home is lovely. Really enjoyed seeing what you did this year. The beach coastal look is so popular and I'm sure people are wondering how to add red and green to their homes if they have gone more modern which so many are doing today. I think you did it perfectly Rebecca. Its really natural looking, not over the top but still very festive and glamourous! Again.. out of the park Rebecca. You make designers proud!

  • Ohh so beautiful. I loved the photos of past christmases. I'm totally surprised that I loved your color scheme for this year too. I usually get turned off by Christmas decor that is off the usual red green gold but you really did it beautifully. I look forward to the coming videos you talked about. Best to you. Big fan!!

  • as you requested... "thimbs up" ;-)

  • @sumbook Ahhh , I hope you did it because you liked the video not because I requested it .... I don't mean to be bossy, I add that annotation because I think people don't remember or they just don't know how important that kind of response matters as far as Youtube's algorithms are concerned :-) but thank you ;-) RR

  • @robesondesign ...

dont worry .. it was done with liking ... not by force :D

keep up the great work :)

  • Ahh you are getting me super excited about Christmas decorating!! can't wait for the next part. Thank you!! :)

  • So beautiful and I can't wait to start putting up my Christmas things.

  • Great decorating! I'm coming to your house for Christmas lol!

  • What an awesome talent you have! I love every frame in this video. Where do you shop for all your decor? Its all very beautiful and elegant. You are truely blessed and thank you so much for sharing! I have a ridiculous amount of christmas decorations but can never really put it all together so that it has that wow feeling like your home. I can't wait for the rest of these 4 videos!

  • I love those snowflakes you hung from the ceiling...so beautiful!

  • Great video Rebecca! I hope that when you get your own TV show (which I think is going to happen soon), you would still be making youtube videos! I can't wait for Christmas decorating part 2! XO, Maria

  • LOL ..... @rprmlr772 .... you are so funny. Believe i or not, I really love what I am doing here on youtube. It keeps me real and grounded. I love the interaction with loyal followers and I am able to maintain my Design practice at the sam time :-).

Don't really know what I'd do if a television offer came my way. I auditioned for the Oprah show on a whim and have no idea what would have happened had they responded?? Anyway, I appreciate your thoughtfulness. Keep watching!!! RR

  • I love your theme. When we go to the Outer Banks I always say 'I'm going to put remnants of shells and things on a fishing line and then use that for my garland for christmas' but I always forget :) But I'm looking for a fresh, new theme this year so I can't wait to get started! :)

And starting earlier allows you to devote more time to gift shopping and wrapping and celebrating the simple joys of the season, right!

  • Right!! @emilyjanelouise

I think your idea of the fishing line and shells is great. Thats one thing I would have liked to add to my decor... more "beachy" type items but I decided to use what I had from previous years. I do my shopping for decorations after Christmas and didn't think that through last year :-) We changed our design theme in Feb. this year. I thought star fish with iridescent glitter would be beautiful! Thanks for the comment and Merry Christmas emilyjanelouise , RR

  • I love love ice garlands....I'm so glad you did this video, my theme for my tree wil be silver and red.

  • @BeeAngelful Sounds beautiful. Be sure to get a quick video and upload it to this video so we can all enjoy how it turns out. Merry Christmas, RR

  • Gorgeous!!

    Really beautiful!

Here in Australia, we go all out but since it's so hot here, we can't go ALL out.

Very beautiful video. Look 4ward to the rest :) merry Christmas!

  • i always make my own hand made bows. it adds up, but they're just so pretty! i worked in a flower shop making arrangements in high school and the first thing you had to be able do do before you could touch the flowers was make bows. i got it so quickly that i had to teach the new girls and make them for the ones whose bows were just "eh". everyone should have to learn how to make bows. they make your presents stand out for birthdays and housewarmings too! buy ribbon in january and stock up. lol

  • Thanks RR - God Bless you too - can't wait to watch all four vids!

  • I just turned 13 and i've always wanted to be a professional interior designer and still do! your videos inspire me even more! Thank you for making these great videos.

  • @ccllaa97 You are very welcome. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. I hope you DO follow your dreams and become a Designer one day. Its a fabulous career for those who are naturally gifted in this area :-)

    Best to you, RR

  • OMG, so beautiful!!

  • Love the dogs BTW

  • Your christmas photos are so beautiful. I am now getting in the mood to do my place. I love Christmas. THanks Rebecca for getting me going!

  • I love your ideas and the photos all look beautiful, but christmas wouldn't feel like christmas in my house if the tree and house weren't a completely random assortment of items with no theme. I wish I could have a perfectly decorated house like yours, but I couldn't bear not putting up all the decorations with so many memories attached :(

Looking forward to this series though, can't wait to see all of it!

  • The puppy that is dress up adorable. I'm so excited for Christmas this year. I have not celebrated in years. Pretty decorating. You are very talented.

  • AHHHH IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXSITED!!!!!!!!

  • I just love all your videos, cant wait to get some new ideas!!!!

  • Thank you so much @quetica1,

I hope we don't disappoint! Merry Christmas to you!

  • your house is very beautiful

  • Thank you @cherryboboc,

I hope you find this video series helpful and inspiring! RR

  • Soooo beautiful. This makes me want to get started!

  • OK so, now, I'm a gift wrapping expert. Not too sure I'll be able to get the bow twisting down but I'm definitely going to try. WOW... your house has sure changed in the past 2 years when you made the gift wrap and bow videos. Love them both but huge change!

  • Hi @1moondoggie,

Merry Christmas to you and Ronda. Thank you for your continued support and always kind comments. I'm so glad you guys have gained ideas and tips for your home. You will have to upload photos for me to see what you come up with this year! Give the "bow making" a try. You might be surprised at how easy it really is. It makes gift giving much more personable as you take the time to bless each recipient! I'll keep doing what I do and you keep watching... Blessings... RR

  • So pretty, can't wait!

  • Wow Rebecca, your home is absolutely GORGEOUS! You have really set us up for seeing how you do it.... Ronda and I love design of course but Christmas makes it even more fun. We always do the red and green thing but you have inspired us to think beyond that. We just watched your new video and decided today we are going to head out and go shopping for new things to add to our collection. Can't wait for the next 3... heading over now to the gift wrapping!! Thanks again for all you bring to us on YT

  • Could you do a Thanksgiving one?

  • I'm sooooooooooo freaking excited! Christmas is my favorite time of year and I want to decorate NOW! lol

  • @kellychristine97x Yes, both Roxy (French poodle) and Sugar (Bichon frise) make cameo appearances in the video... They are part of our family :-) RR

  • woow your house looks amazing! i never can get my house that decorated because my parents dont take their time to do it ):

  • First... your home decorating is beautiful!!

  • Looks SO good !

I wish my mum would decorate our house like this ! :(

  • aawww ur dog is so cute!!!(: great video i cant wait for the others(:
