Dude I wanted to play this game for so long when I was a kid.. my parents wouldn't let me tho'...

& to make things worse this game was right next to Dragon's Lair in Chuck E Cheeze!!! lol

I almost threw up in the arcade at that accursed melting face. My friend's father who took us to the movies afterward saved on popcorn. I couldn't eat the rest of the day.

@NoMercyJustCruelty LOL! It freaked me out pretty badly too, especially the eyeball popping out. It didn't make me nauseous, but it probably contributed to several nightmares.

MANY years later I found Harmageddon available on VHS and snapped up a copy. I couldn't help but laugh when it got to the "melting guy" part. To say that the attract mode for Bega's Battle is heavily re-edited is an understatement.

I saw this one in a small airport arcade back in 83. I was pretty young then, and the thing that really struck me was the startlingly violent moment in the attract mode where some guy basically melts and his eye pops out. Even then, I found myself wondering how they thought that would be a good attract mode animation.
