  • Those are some hot keyboard shortcuts! Thanks Mark!

  • "its not something I would have done in final cut 7 because the tools just weren't really there" All the same tools are there, you know this. What you gain in speed from all those errant click - you loose in lack of control.

  • @superfortnyc I beg to differ. FCP X is incredibly snappy in ways that are not replicate-able in 7. I've used FCP since version 3, and X — once you get past the learning curve — is by far the best when it's used the way it's optimized to perform these audio editting tasks.

  • @josephcsdarnell I've used both extensively, and I find it easier and more flexible to work in FCP 7. I'm not saying FCP X is not snappy. You're not being objective when you say X is the best. Sounds like these guys are on the payroll the way they slander the old system.

  • @superfortnyc It's true they're obviously supposed to push people to FCPX. It's funny watching these videos and seeing Steve Martin pretend like this is all new to him, same thing when Mark Spencer is on the sidelines.

Point is FCPX is capable of doing FCP7 tasks in different manners. Yes it has pros and weaknesses but MacBreak is just showing how accessible it is. I'm all for FCPX, the interface, the workflow, everything.
