  • so the tb83 works well even with non vox amps? have u tried it with hb guitars?

  • i wonder why all these years Brian decided to use that guitar live for just this solo when he clearly got pretty much the same sound from the Red Special on their tour with Paul Rodgers

  • no not like me i cant play this solo like this guy u should learn from him you dnt have the skills to be able to tell this guy what to do thats what im saying. im not the one who goes round commmenting on peoples vids telling them what to do when they play better than me. lol you make me laugh seriously 25 years playing mate lol you cnt reply anymeans what so ever to back it up 25 years playing ya should be shit hot on guitar

  • at least he can play the damn solo lol:P

  • Looks like Brian let you borrow his gear lol

  • fuckinghell man the tone is spot on sounds soo spot on thought u was using a sound clip of brians tone !!!!! awesome im geting same booster soon

  • Yeah! broadcaster...that's what it was!! I remember hearing him say it in an interview but I knew it wasn't a telecaster exactly. My point? Just making a comment as many musicians I talk to always say to me that Brian used a tele on that number...and I was just pointing out that the fact is otherwise.

  • Did you know that Brian May did NOT use a telecaster on this studio solo on the album!?? He didn't. People always think he did., but they are a little off the mark..a little.

  • He used a broadcaster, he's on record saying so. However he did use a Black Tele when first touring this song but later decided to use an RS. This is all old history, what's your point?

  • Broadcaster..yes, I recall now I did also hear him say that in an interview. You asked my 'point'?? uhh, just mentioning it, that's all. I don't understand your point in saying it's all "old history"? ?..The songs old history too...but you're still playing it. Just because you know about it doesn't mean everyone else does. Some people just may not have knowledge of that history. I do, so I was just, passing it along.............

  • @KeVox7 but you were passing along wrong knowledge

  • @KeVox7 In Guitarist (UK) this month (Feb 2011) there is an article about some of the equipment Brian has used in the past. It has some detail of this guitar. It's named as a Fender Esquire (one of Roger's guitars from his vast collection) but appears to be made up from at least two different guitars.. possibly a 1967 Telecaster (body?), and a later Esquire neck... As with much of Brian's gear there is so much misinformation out there ... some of it orginating from Brian himself ...

  • @RedSpecialMike ...My point was...long ago when I made this post...to specify that it is not a telecaster that May played on the studio version of CLTCL. Why? Because almost every guitarist I've ever met says that it was definitely a telecaster but, as you had pointed out, it was a Broadcaster. No biggy..just clarifying for those not in the know.

  • man, Pete Cornish kit just rocks..
