No, that three and a half foot tall midget who rode Wiz coat tails didn't bring the true vinyl junkies here. Jerrys has been around a lot longer than that D Bag.
I was 5 years old the first time my dad took me to Jerrys. That's when Jerrys was located in Oakland. Pretty sure that flash in the pan wasn't even born yet.
I'd love to see this highschool bubblegum rich kid have it out with an actual rapper.
What a pathetic excuse for music... Hey Asher Roth, I'll have the waffles.
I grew up with cassettes, then had 3 solid years of buying CDs, before I got my first set of turntables and a mixer, in '95, and have been buying vinyl ever since. Yes, I listen to a lot of stuff for free on Youtube, but I've never owned an Mp3 player and have never downloaded anything illegally. Vinyl forever!
Now that is one cool record store. One without a CD player. I have many more CD's than vinyl, but i really enjoy the sound of vinyl records. When i get the money i am gonna have to head up to Pennsylvania and shop at this store. I started purchasing records in 2006. They are a great investment if you pay attention to the quality they bring out in albums.
I love Jerry's and go there often. My only complaint is the fact that the workers there smoke!!! I leave smelling like I went to a bar and not to buy vinyl...It also sucks when you bring your vinyl home and it smells like an ashtray!!!!!! Wish Jerry would not allow them to do this!!! But I love his store and he is a great guy!
Yeah yeah, big up Jerry"s! i've known the man 20+ years.
I feel lucky to live in Pittsburgh and have access to such a great dude and a great store. Anyone who has a chance to pass through town and loves records needs to stop in and spend some cash.
Great video & great store music...Does any body knows the name of the song & performance from this video,,,the ending song is so great so I need to know..-Thanks.
The best record store ever. End of story. I usually visit to purchase 80s 12" versions, and I always walk out with tons of great stuff. Most LPs are 3-5 bucks. Can't beat that.
Make sure you keep buying his vinyl through these hard times. Its one of my ambitions to visit this amazing store.Too bad i live in the UK, i'll get there one day!
I've been going to Jerry's since I was a teenager in high school, back when he was on Forbes in Oakland. It's easy to get lost there for hours . . . perhaps days.
I've been going to Jerry's for many years. The place never ceases to amaze me because each time I go back I always find something I've been looking for. The records are stacked so high I can't even reach the top shelf, andI'm 6'3"! You also end up having the pick of the litter on certain albums because there's like 50 duplicates-so that's cool too-Definately worth the trip!
Jerry is the greatest, and so is his store. He's fair, honest and generous. When you buy records, he throws some extras in the bag just so you can try something different. The lobby has racks of records that are free for the taking and Jerry encourages people to take as many as they want. You did a nice job with this. Jerry's is a treasure and well worth a trip to Pittsburgh (hit Mineo's Pizza next door or Kazansky's Deli across the street!)
thumbs up if mac miller brought you here?

about 3 million in the store and another 10 million in the warehouse...
I'm betting you'll find some 45's there.
