Domestic cats are wonderful pets; however, it's better to keep them inside or allow outside only with supervision or on lead. Domestic cats can really affect the ecology in the number of birds and rodents they kill. Also, cats are prey for all sorts of animals, including coyotes, stray dogs, and even opossums and great horned owls.
I agree. My cats are indoors. BCR has rescued them all, and some are semi-feral. They are all fixed and stay within the boundaries of BCR. You are right, but they are very safe where they are, relatively speaking. I doubt they ever see coyotes or anything with all those tigers :D
You must got some damn mean cats. My cat brought a bird home once. It tried and tried to catch squirells but couldn't. I hate to disagree with you but domesticated cats with a place to live provide no damage whatsoever to an ecology. Just prowell.
With that being said, New Orleans did have a problem. After Katrina there were hundreds of cats running wild in New Orleans. Thats the only problem I see.
A cat would get tore up by a racoon and opposum so I woulldn't worry too much about that.
hahah i bet she really likes the attention... lol :) has she ever got in a fight w/ the other big cats???? or does she leave them alone????? :D *5/5* haha i bet she gets fat from all the ppl feeding her... lol

Oh yeah! Ultimate reason for people not to try to raise 'exotics' in their home. They've already got the ultimate killing machine.
