  • The clouds are amazing!

  • Looks more like the sun.

  • WATCH OUT THOSE CLOUDS ARE GOING TO ATTACK YOU!

  • what are 1 second intervals?

  • calculating that would be about 5 to 7 hours? wow

  • im pretty sure that the moon has about 10% of the suns energy, so im guessing exposing it by 10 seconds would make it look as if it was the sun

  • @Jordyy11122244t

I don't think that maths is tight, but it does seem to be the moon in this video.

  • @Teghead yeah probably not, im basically estimating

  • 0:22 it looks like a tsunami is hitting!

  • I absolutely do not understand the 113 people who did not like this video.

  • @sixtysixfish I do. I enjoyed the video, time to give it a thumbs down just to do it.

  • i love life :)

  • This is sunrise btw.

    Not the moon.

  • @singsingdong If it was a sunrise, the stars wouldn't be visible by the end. It's a brightly exposed full moon.

  • @sli121 hm.

The skys really bright though. D:

  • 333,001st view. <3

  • Wow, the clouds came like water!! - Wait a second, it is water... but you know what i've tried to say haha

  • I love the rolling clouds in the beginning. It's so neat!

  • The moon look like a little sun

  • @RigonMetaL1 the exposure made the moon look a lot brighter

  • I saw 12 hours in 38 seconds C:

  • hey the clouds are acting just like water at this speed

  • #LOL

  • one of the best vids on youtube!! so favorited!!

  • beautiful.

  • what is this track? I love this!

  • Your elevation is above most light interference & you live in Hawaii where there is no light pollution like here in the US.

  • complete badass.

  • Beautiful

  • At start clouds look like water.I like it.

  • lovely

  • beautiful

  • yup, moonrise. 10 second exposure per frame of the moon looks like that. Notice the stars.

  • is the moon over hawaii really that bright, i mean the sky´s almost blue...

  • noup...

  • moonrise? this is the sun

  • The clouds look like a big wave of water coming in slow motion, even though this video is sped up. I think it look cool.

  • @soccerdude247

yes its like water coming in slow motion :P very cool

  • sound & vision both beautiful! Does anybody know the name of this track?

  • Broken Social Scene - Last Place

  • Excellent !!

  • Absolutely amazing. Gives the feeling that you are part of something way bigger than you could understand

  • @Danukar yer wen u look at the stars you think stuff like that

  • you'd be amazed at the stuff you think of when in another time and dimension on shrooms lol

  • you are. :P

  • @Danukar PHYSICS! :D

  • @Danukar Exactly, i feel like i'm part of a fungus growth in a petri dish

  • @batukhan Your comment just made my day.

  • clouds look awesome. moon looks like sun.

  • quite beautiful

  • Wow! At first, i thought the clouds were the ocean, and at first, i was like.. "The currents are getting bigger..." but when the "sea" was covering the sun, it were just clouds. o_o. I didn't know clouds were that cool when your actually watching them move.

  • 5***** :D

  • i had a dream when i was younger, it was really close to this.. and i can never forget that dream, i wish i can dream that again. it was one of my favorite., and i can still remember the details.

  • I loved youre comment !

  • That's gorgeous! You got some beautiful cloud formations to add to it too! Nice one man.

  • great job!

  • moon? xD

  • Yes. Long exposures for each frame of time lapse.

  • que buen timelapse! :D

    well done!

  • those clouds blew me away

  • A very beautiful and facinating film of our moon. God bless you.

The moon is almost a quarter of a million miles from the Earth but roughly the same side of the Moon always faces the Earth.

  • It looked more like a sunrise but it still was pretty cool :)

  • Beautiful, cool music.

  • not to be odd but wats the song...???

  • clouds were amazing seemed like waves

  • yeah, that was cool :)

  • weak...

  • I agree with all who say that was a sunrise. I mean, come on, it was bright outside and the big circle in the sky was bright and not a silver color with craters.

  • if it was a sunrise you wouldnt see all the stars in the sky

  • and the camera would adjust the brightness so much that the rest of the image would be black. It just seems brighter because it is the image of several hours put into less than 40 seconds.

  • Right. Apparently you missed the part where he messed with the settings of the camera, right?

  • Great 5*

  • thats a sunrise...

  • why is it so damn bright? lol it looks like a sun rise

  • long exposure time.

  • Beautiful! Like many others, I love the clouds!

  • cool!!!!!

  • wen the clouds roll in it looks like a huge tidle wave-tsunami

  • WOW

    amazing

    -DJ

  • Loved it! Renee

  • EPIC

  • awesome. it's like we're riding in a giant sailship... well aren't we?

  • awesome. looks sort of like a space shuttle launch from about 40 miles away....

  • cool time lapse!

  • wonderful!

  • very nice :D

  • How?

  • This person is saying this is too beautiful for nature alone,

God created something much more wonderful, such as this moonrise.

I don't understand why he has six thumb-downs...

  • I agree!

  • as opposed to a magical old guy in clouds creating somthing from nothing and created sins for us not to use and atheism for us not to use, hmm still crazy

  • beautiful time lapse

  • awesome vid.

  • Anybody know the name of the song in the background?

  • well i really see the earth are moving. not the sun is moving. and i saw VENUS in that picture!

  • that is the moon! when I make pictures at night, the moon is extremely bright, when I use a huge Time for imaging (sry for my english!)

  • That is definitely the sun because when the video first start it is dark and you can see the stars. When the sun rises the stars began to fade away, plus the sun shines on the clouds because you can see the sun light at the bottom of the clouds.

  • Its the moon. These are long exposure photos. Plus... you cant see stars after the sun rises... duh?

  • nicEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm don't think I'm the smartest man in the world, but that looked more like the Sun unless some unknown camera lens was used I know nothing about. The sunrise was cool though.

  • Comment removed

  • It idd looks like the sun, but I think if it would be the sun the sky would be less darker. Due to the lense it looks like the flare is from the sun.

  • hahaha i was thinking the same thing.

  • He set the exposure very high-- that means that the lens is open for a very long time per picture; and the brightness is collective from all of the time that the lens is open. You can tell because of the dark sky.

  • Dude, have you even ever looked at a sunrise? The sky isnt dark and full of stars.

  • What's the name of the song that's playing in the background?

  • Just absolutely amazing

  • Comment removed

  • No...

  • i love how you can see how its the earth thats moving not the stars and moon, it feels crazy

  • i like watching that wave of clouds come at me xD

  • Wonderful! Thanks!

  • that's the sun.

  • yeah thats why there are stars -_-

  • =D =D =D =D

  • I never saw how the moon affects the earth, now i see, when hes light reaches clouds, or something else like gravity, they start to spread, and in the center of the moon there is no clouds.

  • The moon also pulls at the oceans and affects tides.

  • The moon is what CAUSES the tides.

The moon is getting farther from the Earth. Eventually the moon will be gone and we will be all screwed up.

  • We most likely wont exist at that point as we are talking about milions of years.

  • its so awesome to see the clouds roll like that

  • Beatiful work pal..

    do you have on hd...

    Bye

  • really good stuff.love it

  • that was seriously beyond beautiful!! thank you!

  • That is just amazing

  • amazing and a great idea. i'll try too. thanks.

  • Call me fukn retarded but that looked like the sun.............

  • maybe were there from they call the sun the moon...

  • thats a pretty hard to ocurr coincidence my friend.

  • ur fukn retarded. its the moon. i did what he said in the anotation and its true.

  • it looks like the sun because to capture the surrounding landscape, because its dark out you have to set your camera to take in the largest amount of light, so the landscape looks normal but the moon looks brighter

  • ... that was divine- thank you :)

  • Can anyone help me find a video? It was of a time-lapse mountain with an Irish guy resiting French poetry or something in the background.

  • That's amamzing.

  • Fantastic Moon rise time lapse! And the wave of cloud that rolls in is spectacular. Awesome in many ways.

  • wow, it almost looks like daytime

  • yeah that's what i thought too. earth's just awesome. fuckin love it

  • whoa i thought the clouds were water waves crashing down at first

  • attack of the colud wave!

  • What rate are the photos taken at?

  • Description... READ!

    :o=3

  • WTF dude i ment how often for how long not the exsposure

  • can't help you there

  • Cool. I guess the sun was blocking the moon though.

  • whast the music name

  • band: broken social scene

    song: last place

  • thanks alot

  • Are you sure thats the moon?

  • That is the brightest moon I have ever seen! Looks just like the sun! lol

  • It's overexposed :) . If you reverse it, so underexpose, you can make the sun to look like a light bulb.

  • also, notice the trees are not green aha, the sun would definitely illuminate everything.

I agree though, it's extremely bright aha, it had me fooled.

  • beautiful!

  • I couldn't help but smile :)

The sight of the stars moving with it really give a sense of the vastness of space

  • so prettyy good job m8

  • Thats sweet we dont really get stuff like that in ewa beach lol i wish i lived on big island its really nice or MAUI!

  • excellent capture

  • that is amazing :-)

  • does anyone know what song this is?

  • Broken Social Scene "Last Place"

  • thanks so much!

  • Thats amazing. I want to when do you actually shoot a moonrise. When the sun is going down? I know the moon Orbits on an eliptical path so where do you go to shoot one. On the east as you would shoot a sunrise. or do you shoot a moonrise on the west when the sun sets?

  • It most definately is the moon. If you pause it and think about a single picture and how bright a full moon can be, with the camera settings in play, then the moon and surrounding area will appear that bright in the picture. This is just time lapse so it goes faster over a long period of time making this astonishing effect.

  • breath-taking!

    (5 stars)

  • HHMM...Looks a like a the sun huh? interesting Spock!

  • Like said someone here who gives a hoop about moon or sun... it is beautiful that's what matters. Oh... btw...is it the sun or the moon?

    Pfffffffffffff!

Guys let's use some logic here... as an astrophisoceanoismicenomer I know this is the Sun turning into mon n because it is tired of shining its light on freaking geeks like you.

  • You= "Sun turning into mon n??????"

Being that you are a astrophisoceanoismicenomer, I would assume your energy is spent on how to protect earth from the next meteorite, not some YouTuber comment on a rising moon or sun RIGHT? You look just as childish as the person your critizing!

  • great job !!!

  • Wait a minute, If thats the moon then wheres the earth? wow these people are wierd anybody can do this on a graphing calculator, ever seen star wars? just like taking the whales in star trek!! well anyways back to making transparent aluminum!

  • That was interesting. It really gave a good visual of the earth rotating.

  • eek look at the clouds lol

  • If it was the sun, how do you account for all the stars in the sky?

  • The moon is not so bright...it would not illuminate the sky like that.

  • are you retarded as shit? exposure, hello. and where the fuck do you live right now? if you've lived where the sky is actually clear and you see stars clearly, a whole load of it, the moon is pretty damn bright from the reflection, and while you're at it, go google "moon dust", see how well they reflect light, just go ahead, you're an idiot.

  • Exposure? Well, I guess so.

I'm just saying, I've never seen the most look ANYTHING at all like that. Even the very brightest...

  • if its the sun then why can we see stars? i cant see stars during the day

  • Really nice Moonrise almost rimes

  • High exposure?
