Hey, I use Arm and Hammer Whitening toothpaste, which is a toothpaste that's made of baking soda, instead of using all those steps, it's easy and it also has some mint in it :P haha

White then you had plenty of germs and it's cleaning it all out. But it will go away don't worry. That's what they put in the strips anyways so it's perfectly safe to use. Not for kids though. (duh)

You can pour Hydro Per in your mouth to help kill all germs and help whiten your teeth. About two yo three caps full depending on your mouth size should do the trick and swish it around in your mouth for about 3 mins or so. If it fizzes up that's just letting you know you have a lot of germs in your gums and it's getting rid of it. The first time I tried it, my teeth were so White! After... Hydro Per won't kill you but you shouldn't swallow it like with tooth paste. If Hydro Per turns you skin

@GamerGirlXx360 Hey gamer girl. Whitening your teeth with braces is kind of pointless for the obvious reason that the brackets cover a portion of your teeth and that part can't be whitened. I mean, you could do it but you would have little yellow squares on your teeth when your braces come off. I recommend waiting until you have them removed and then do the whitening. This is common practice. Besides, who can notice yellow teeth when you have braces anyways? Best of luck!

Hydrogen Peroxide won't kill you if you swallow a bit of it.. We use a cap full it (as a vet tech) to make dogs throw up if they have had eaten something bad.. then gave them activated charcoal..

My cousin had the same problem, and her dentist apparently did something about it (it cost money- just saying), and I would tell you about it, but I'm no longer in touch with her. Sorry, but there are some toothpastes that brush enamel onto your teeth. Maybe that'll work.

@meebree33 hey, yes you're 100% correct. Enamel is clear and the dentin underneath is yellow. There's not much you can really do about it since you are born with this condition. Talk to your dentist about your concerns!

I use peroxide on my teeth all of the time. She said "I don't know why it turns white." It turns white because it bubbles up I guess it "Foams" or whatever. But that's why people use it like when the gets cuts or whatever.. because it cleans the wounds. All the peroxide will do is just get your teeth really clean and get the stains off. It won't hurt you. You could swallow a whole mouthfull of it, and it won't hurt you. But, you shouldn't swallow it, anyway.

Ok so I go to dental school and holy mother of god don't brush your teeth with hydrogen peroxide. that will totally errode your enamel and you'll expose dentin which will be really sensitive and will decay faster

hydro peroxide is perrfectly safe to use and turns white when the chemical reacts with the saliva in your gums or mouth :)

It's perfectly fine to gargle with hydrogen peroxide. It even says so on the bottle. However, you shouldn't dip your toothbrush directly into the bottle. That spreads germs and it doesn't matter if it's yours.

okay peroxide is not at all dangerous for mouth wash...one of the listed uses on the bottle is mouth cleansing...and the bubbling is actually a very good thing...its bubbling to boil away germs you dont wantt in your mouth that causes gingivitis and other mouth deseases (the bubbling is thhe white stuff )

You should look up the Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. It tells you about the hazards associated with it. They mention the words carcinogen and mutagen.

Also, take into consideration that the PURITY of the chemical is important. There may be small amounts of other chemicals in it. Depending on what the intended use is, they may not bother to remove them all.

the white is just the foam from the micro cuts in your gum...its a normal reaction thats why hydrogen-peroxide is good for first aid so that you can see all of the cuts...nothing to worry about :)
