I've make the same question to Paul Gilbert and this is his answer :

The balance of the Fireman is extremely good. The balance of the guitar comes from the position of the strapbolt on the upper horn. If the strap bolt is closer to your left, then the balance will be good. So guitars with no upper horn usually don't balance very well, (like the Iceman.) But the Fireman has a LONG upper horn, so it has great balance.

Such a great Guitar... Visually and great sounding! Can't wait to get it at my local Dealer, we all have been waiting so long! But finally, there's a (RED!) Fireman for a reasonable price. I think even non-PG-Fans should/would try it.
