  • Why this aircraft didn't reach production? it's great to see this airplane flying in the skies together with the 707 and DC-8...

  • I wish they copied the cockpit too the 707is a good. Looking airplane

  • Wow this video has the only view of this airplanes cockpit!

  • chinese people are smart because their scientists are their own.

theres not even an american race, and their technology is only the work of german scientists. Fat Man and Little Boy, and the moon landing was all german. White america just funded it

  • the stupid government in 1980's stopped this program! Shame on them!

Otherwise, we will not buying any Airbus or Boeings today.

  • Looks like b707

  • In case you don't understand chinese. Yes this plane is based on the Boeing 707, but it was not a copy!

  • i am chinese and i live in shanghai.

the plane was a 70%copy of 707,the project was cancelled due to political and technical issues but a lot of people believe that politics played the major

  • @ScaredPilot

Do you think all the aircraft looks similar? Yes, all have 2 wings. lol

  • @ScaredPilot

    It is fake 707 lol

  • Fortunately, Y-10's successor, new China-made large jet project has started. It is really a pity for the ceased Y-10 project. At least, Y-10 could be used as cargo and serve in air force. If that maybe we don't need so many Il-76 now.

  • CHINA OK!

    DDMD!!!

  • China started its program to build a jumbo jet in 1970, the same year Airbus was created.

China finished the designing of Y-10, a civil airliner, in 1978. Two years later, Y-10 made a successful trial flight. Y-10's largest take-off weight is 110 tons and it has enough space for 178 seats.

China's first jumbo aircraft, whose development had cost up to 537.7 million yuan, has been perched in a corner of Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Factory since February 1985.
