@MyKeith999 wishing you well in carrying on through the loss. Fight on thru the pain, my friend, and know that any tears shed are not in vain. The sun will still shine, and the longing to see them again will be rewarded in the next life. The eternal one as our Creator allows us to rejoin with loved ones forever. This timeless song and the glorious message of heartfelt longing isn't lost on God. He knows the call of your heart. The darkness is only temporary in His economy.
The Moody Blues were good in the 60's; however, they're GRAND now! With each year that passes, they become more and more forever! Justin's moved by his audience as are his "brothers" John and Graeme, which endear them more into my heart! ~ Janet (2011)
This video breaks my heart...... Justin really struggled to hold himself together. I could see that he was truly hurting. I just wanted to be there to hold and comfort him..... Like the true professional that he is, he just about managed to carry on. "Bless The Wings" that bring me back....... I am going to look up places in North Cornwall on the computer now for inspiration. XXxxXX. Angie~~##~~ K.
@maryrose456 Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm trying to understand your post. Had Justin recently experienced a loss of a loved one prior to this concert? I've always loved the Moodies, saw them four times over the years. Sadly, the last time back in the late 80s with many family and friends, including my parents., since passed on, and I miss them so very much. When I hear this classic song, I think of them; and also the impending doom sadly about to be thrust upon free humanity. God help us
I heard WW when I was 12 and have remembered EVERY LINE of it since. Never knew so many artists I know know of were on it. The song reminds me of my beloved Border Collie Sherri. She loved the leaves. RIP Sweetie. 2000. I always cry. Amazing personal video. Thank you.
The wonderful thing about the Moddy Blues is that even with the passing of time, their music is still just as wonderful, just as powerful as it was when it first came on the scene. That to me can't be said about a whole lot of music. Thank you so much for airing this.
I would love to have the dvd of the 2006 production of WOW, but it is done as a region 2 (Europe). For some reason the record company and Jeff Wayne did not do a Region 1 (North America) version...Yet
I was gutted I missed this is Oz. I don't reckon they'll come back again and I reckon Jase will make a better Nataniel...I have been madly in love with Justin since the 70's..Oz date please...
The response from TWOTW says it will be some time in December and to "look for it". I am talking about Jeff Wayne's musical The War Of The Worlds, which Justin sings Forever Autumn in and that song is from that musical. Justin did NOT write it.
I want this played at my funeral. Hopefully I will be around for many years, but have told my daughters and husband that this is to be played. Just the most amazing song.
Jeff wayne didnt write this...paul vigrass did in the 60,s being on the vigrass and osbourne album called ques and it was then used as the theme to the lego advert!
I adore this song but the reason they don't perform this song so much in concert is because this song was a solo for justin as part of jeff waynes production of war of the worlds, actually jeff wayne wrote this song with justin in mind(just some info for those that don't already know this) one of my fav's
I saw the guys in Cardiff this year. Third time for me. Was surprised by the lack of Forever Autumn but i shall just enjoy it all the more when i see TWOTW at the MEN in June 09.
They were brilliant, as ever, but the sound techs. need to rethink their balance at St David's. Much of John Lodge was lost to the instruments.
Oh what can be said about this song......it's utterly beautiful. Once again i will be seeing the guys playing live in London and if they do this song, it's going to really be so poignant for me to listen to the words in a way.
I agree (and have agreed since early 1970s) all Justin has to do is just stand there. I have always been in love with him, his voice and his music. Long live the Moody Blues.
I truely love his voice when he sings or talks as a matter of fact all the man has to do is stand there and breath and I'm really just as happy as one could be. Oh, silly me!!!
When I'm feeling sad or indifferent, I hop in my car and take one of many moodies tapes, drive into the country and listen to them on full blast. Better than any anti-depressant or mood elevator you can pop out of a bottle. They are my THERAPY and can't live without them, their music and not without MY JUSTIN!
JUSTIN MY DREAM, WHAT A GIFT YOU HAVE BEEN TO OUR WORLD WE NEED YOU FOREVER LET AUTUMN STAY FOREVER,your precious gift will always be in our universe You moodys are truely travelers spreading truth ,love, honesty on an astro plane moodys my dreams stay forever.
Whenever I'm sad or feeling indifferent, I put on an old Moodies lp. When I awake I feel free again. Wish Pinder had never left. 5 fingers making one hand. Thanks for getting me through.
This was one of a batch of fantastic pop songs from a fantastic year for music - 1978.
This was one of 6 I used to play on a juke box - others were Northern Lights by Renaissance, Substitute by Clout, Baby Stop Crying by Bob Dylan, Dancing in the City by Marshal Hain and Run for Home by Lindisfarne.
this song reminds me of my late fiancee who sadly past away in 2002.she loved the autumn.gets the hairs on my neck every time i here it.god bless her always.
@moodyglow Yup. I'm pushing 60 and the feeling doesn't fade. Had it since 1967. First heard this album on FM radio, lying in bed late at night with my (not yet) wife. We've been married 31 years and it is as powerful now as it was then. Thankfully, Jeff Wayne came up with a magnificent stage production starring, of course, Justin and many of the original musicians and singers.
Stoned may be a bit too soft to explain the euphoric feeling one might get whilst listening to The Moody Blues. There may not even be a word to describe it, because the only word that comes close is Nirvana, and even Sidartha Gautama has never experienced this feeling.
One of my all-time favourite songs. Even though this one was not written by Justin, he certainly has made it his own. I wish he would perform it in the US more; I never get tired of hearing it!!!
lost my best friend and this song rips me alway but reminds me im a human !

The Moody Blues playing Forever Autumn at your mom's funeral?
