O cypress tree! what doest thou here in this lonely desert spot? Alone and alien, what doest thou here? Where is the garden, the running water you seek? Are you awaiting the sprinkling rain? What if no rain comes? After the soft voice of the nightingale, what wouldst you do with the ghastly roar of agony? Dreaming softly of green pastures, what can you with this loneliness?

Check Dr Ghadimi Dictionary, Sarv refers to section between lower level valley & upper stony part of mountain. I have been listing to this song for over a year and do so almost every day. Although I only understand a few words, it is the finest music I have heard ever. Will someone please post the words in farsi text , as I can read it. Would love to have a translation as well. Are there any other songs from this duo on youtube?
I have made an attempt to translate this poem. As with all mystical imagery it is very difficult to do this elegantly, especially if you're not a poet in either language.
I will post what I have with appologies for its lack of elegance.
