yeah, this is true, I experienced shadow folk from about three years of age to 8, scary as HELL. Very traumatic when you can't tell anyone. Support to all shadow people experiencers! We're a ppl too! Peace! ;)
When I was about 8 i was playing in my room I looked out my door and seen one of these things stand up from a shadow on the floor I stared into its eyes for about 30 seconds until I finally screamed then it just disappeared...I got the feeling of death from it also like it wanted to take me to hell

they are real. those of us who have seen them (or REPEATEDLY) are not shaken by the doubters in their natural ignorance. Nobody WANTS to see these 'things' but when you DO...there is no denying it. I experienced this too many times to count as a kid and besides it being scary was a VERY strong sense(in a way that kids do not normally sense)that it meant something as well. I don't spend time worrying about people who do not believe that water is WET...or people who disbelieve of shadow people.
I have seen a full-bodied apparition of the hooded figure type once before, but mostly just out of the corner of my eye or in passing as a darting, moving shadow. The moving shadow ones I have seen during daylight, in crowds, and in my home. They always look like an unexpected blip in my vision, and when I turn back to look again it's gone. Strange and extremely fascinating subject.

Ive seen shadow people twice but it was always in the corner of my eye and both times they moved fast so im not really shure but im sure i saw the shape of the upper body of a human shapped thing....
I experienced the same type of thing in a lucid state after having sleep paralysis. I felt like I was sitting up in bed in my room and I saw this black thing darting around really fast ( like a wood spider) in the corner of my eyes. Finally I manged to focus on it and it was a pitch black "friar tuck" looking thing over against the wall..a black hooded robe floating mid-air with no legs and with no discernable face. It was blacker than any black I had ever seen.
I was instinctively repulsed and alarmed by the thing sort of like the way you would automatically swat a fly that landed on your face or something..so without thinking I lunged at it and yelled GO AWAY! I felt some sort of energetic altercation but I clearly over powered it and it vanished. I have been attacked by other things during sleep paralysis that were FAR worse and more powerful that I was simply no match for and left me whimpering like a scared dog.

I have seen a shadow man many times; I have seen a man walking down a hallway in front of me as if to lead me past many doorways. A doorway opened and a super bright light came out. He said calmly "Do not go in there" but I argued and went in. He let me. The woman I saw clearly there, I met/loved soon in life and she very nearly ruined my life! Reality includes 'dreams'. Beware.
I used to live in a place where everybody who stayed the night tell me it's haunted. Anyways, one day (in DAYLIGHT!) I was sitting at my desk. I noticed a person in black walk through the door on my left, pass behind me and stop in the corner on my right. I though it was my boyfriend so I started talking to it but got no response. I turned to look and no one was there! When it came into the room and passed me, I felt the breeze and heard breathing so I know it wasn't imagined.

you can't expirence the hooded 1 more than once because that sadow means you escaped death and escaping death is like surving a motor cycle accident only happins 1/10 how ever the hat one can be seen more often but that depends on what you say do or think i've seen them both because i messed with n oujia bord however the hooded one came in the croner of a church after i jumpd to the side cuz some drunk driver nearly killed me STAY OF THE OUJIA BORD btw feel then NEVER unles its a demon differend
@sparx3600 I have seen these when I was 8-9 years old about 3 times darting down the hallway VERY FAST. recently, i had sensations of hair standing up in parts of my neck and knew, but pretended i didn't notice and it stayed around for a while off of both corners of my eye behind me. i realize it either stayed around or haven't left since i was 1 night awaken in a reflex manner as if something jolted me over and over half asleep even with the light on.
its weird see this because I seen these shadow people before when i was young 4 of them and just this past week i cant stop thinking about it so i fund this. i saw three that look like the hooded one and one that look more like the hat one but without the hat. looks more like a person but darkness all around it. I still feel things but not all the time just when I go to some places. am only 15.
I just saw An extremely Fast Black Shadow, It made a big bang in the loungeroom and as I saw it in the corner of my eye , I Caught it just as it was Passing In the hallway to my loungeroom,, and I saw it Dissapear into the top right, It scared the living Shit out of me, Im a Beleiver of paranormal But please can someone explain What I saw, This house Has such a paranormal Feel to it, Like People Watching you, Constantly Watching you, Unexplained Noises. It really bothers me that I havent figured it out yet, but there's probably a good reason , I believe the memory will surface when it's the right time, and I'll def. be sure to post more details as I try to solve this, as for now, I will just study them as much as I can and meditate to try to coax the memory out. I cant remember what happened after that, I only remember telling my brother about it later. Now I have to make the realistic assumption that it was a dream, but only because I haven't been able to remember the rest, this memory actually surfaced after searching online about them because of a sighting between me and my mom, I was reading about red eyed ones and the memory just hit me, I do remember that at the time I didnt even think it was a dream at the time and I still dont.
It looked exactly like the figure to the right at :09. The wierd thing is, I wasn't scared when I first saw it, I was actually quite curious to what it was, so I reached out and touched it, it felt wet (I actually thought it was a ghost dog, sounds wierd but I guess I thought that because the hood looked kind of like floppy ears, and then when I touched it, I thought it was like a tongue, because I pretty much poked it in the face) I then jumped out of bed and ran full speed across the house
They do not ever seem to attack me. But they do try to scare me. They also do follow you around. Not all the time; it is random and often they're gone for long periods of time. However, I never got the sense that they wanted to harm me or cause me to hurt others. They are frightening though. I have seen them as a child up until now and I still prefer to say they're not real because to awcknowledge them at times seems to give them more strength. I think we can give them energy to disturb us.
I get the feel like they are following or watching me for some reason. Like they're keeping an eye on me. I do know things about the Government and have a good friend whom I am in contact with who has worked for the DOD and is wanting to come out about the things he has seen.

They definitely exist... I saw three walking around like you and me earlier this week and it was nothing to be scared of. Hell they were jumping on my sisters trampoline with me at like 10pm. Not sure why they were here but the dudes treated me like a brother and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The last time I saw them was Tuesday when I went to bed. They came in one by one and marked my forehead like they were baptizing me or some shit and left. Dude even gave me a hug lol.

I see them and feel their presence quite a bit. They never scare me; however, the type of energy they carry could frighten me. It's their way of warning me. Sometimes they make noises and sometimes they may speak. I am never afraid, I am just warned of certain things and that's what scares me, but not the shadows itself.

I saw one once at my girlfriends apartment. She opened the front door and walked out to the patio. When she did a shadow person followed her. I was staring at it then it turned to me as if realizing that I could see it. I think it just phased out when she walked back through the door way. I was thinking I was making it up till I noticed my dog crying starring in that same direction. I know he saw it too. As I thought back I remember seeing a hat on the guy. the one in a hat is it exactly.
The Shadow Hat Man has long wavy hair, a moustache and goatee, and wears a old time suit with a big tie and long coat. When he appeared to me I saw no legs or arms all I saw was his head and torso and it appeared to be moving and then vanished . He has a big grin on his face. He can also appear looking completely burnt black with big red eyes.

Don't know what they are. They are real or I lost my damn mind because I had an up close and personal experience with one. The weird thing is I never heard of them till I looked up "sleep paralysis". Then I saw the cheezy drawing of the hooded figure. Whoever drew that knows whats up! It's dead on! Anyway put a bowl of salt water next to your bed. Sleep paralysis gone after salt water cure. Do you guys think that people who are perhaps psychic or clairvoyent are more likely to see ghosts, shadow people and things of this nature? When I was a kid I used to have precognitive dreams and have been technically dead before. if someone almost dies and is revived, do you think that can cause things from a closely related dimension to come back with them?
I have seen them. I also believe in extra terrestrials and have had really weird experiences. Could shadow people be a way extra terrestrials monitor people through different dimensions perhaps? @gengiz When I was about 9 years old in bed at night, I would have two experiences; witnessing a shadowy figure walking towards me and the sensation of someone laying on top of me. I was petrified of the shadowy figures, so I would put toys in my bed for protection (child logic) with the covers over my head! Once under the covers, my body would tremble and then I would feel someone laying on top of me for a short time. This would occur 3 times a night! I haven't experienced this for years!
I was staying at a friends that has passed now and it was the spare room, middle of the night like 2 am I was sleeping on my stomach face down and felt something touching my shoulder when I terned I saw very briefly for like half a second an old lady with really grey hair and face she had a hood over her head and it was like a trenchcoat dark colour..then it just dissapeared. Cont: A small, childlike figure with an abnormally small head for it's body size, no pigment, pure black. Eyes that took up most of its head and arms long enough to reach the ground. I rounded the corner quickly after I heard her scream and caught the edge of it's body shooting around the corner to the back of my apartment complex (no lighting). I've been able to see them since I was a child. My imaginary friend as a kid was a pure black humanoid figure. I saw one when i was 15, I was in bed and woke to a silhouette of a person standing at the end of my bed. I just ignored it but then it moved up next to me and leaned over and whispered something in my ear (I couldnt make it out but it was a mans voice). in my experience they are a soild shadow they can remove the shadow if you bug them about it without the shadow mine looked white grey sharp teeth claws. they are fast and weigh very little one ran over me when i was under a matress the thing was heavy enough to flip the matress but not heavy enough to crush me i believe they can manipulate their weight because i went after it ready to fight then it jumped down from my tree taking out several large branches and then i turned around and ran away
well im labeled as a schizo and my most intense realistic hallucinations are the shadow person/people. staring at me around corners and then charging at me another time lol I guess being crazy I was able to look directly at this for seconds before I blinked and it was gone. So funny because it was easily comparable to Noob Saibot on MK games or the shadow thing the girl danced with on the 80s movie 'Legend'. my friend was perfectly normal up until his junior year in high school when he started saying he saw shadow people. he came to school in tears sometimes and cuts on his back and all he would say was they attacked me again. and NO he has never used any drugs or anything. he committed suicide 3 years ago at his girlfriends house, threw himself out her bedroom window. love him and ill miss him dearly.. i cant stop looking into paranormal stuff now

I work in a very big nursing home, and have started to see them around the place quite often. About a week before it started I was at home and there was a knock on the door, no one there, we have a 6ft wall and a gate to get through before you get to the door just to note it wasnt kids. Im open minded.....
About 6yrs. ago I seen a Shadow person when I was 7 months pregnant. I noticed it try several attempts to get my attention by knocking on walls and doors, until finally it popped up in front of me. The crazy thing is...it was dark in the room and if it wasn't for it's strong presence (feeling like something was going to happen) I probably would not have saw it. I also noticed the house we stayed in was very eerie. Felt like someone's always watching you. My baby died a week later after seeing it

I've had a few experiences with shadow people and non of them good. The shadow person always catches me in bed and starts to choke me and i couldn't breath. The only way to stop the choking was to say " fuck off satan ". and then it left. Same thing happened to me when i was camping. The shadow person came through the trailer wall and started choking me. I said the same thing and it left into another part of the trailer. Can someone please tell me i'm not alone with this terrible experience?
i have seen people. I see them in my hallway and in dining room. Also in the basement of my house when walking up stairs it feeling as if someone is pushing you up the stairs. These figures showed p about a month ago.

The reason they faze in and out and appear as glitches is because they are in the spiritual realm, they are revealed as clear as day mostly to people who have a tight relationship with God and Jesus and who are in constant prayer. I've seen one and only one, it was a full body apparition, it walked between my mom and i and it went into her bedroom and sank into the floor. I remember first just a flash of black go past my field of vision(it was just inches from my face) then I watched it proceed past her bedroom doorway, I think it knew I saw it because it dropped into the floor so fast, its hard to explain how it walked because it moved its legs but it more less just glided along
Tall Shadow of a man, as tall as a door frame... big ears, bald, skinny guy. Came into the room when i was laying in bed, walked to my side and stood by me for a few seconds, and walked out. I saw one when I was a kid, it was tall and had glowing red eyes and walked from my living room into my bedroom, right past my bed where I was and disappear right before it got to the bathroom doorway. Then, at my last job, working in a freezer. I saw that one on several occasions. The first time I was on a forklift about 20 feet in the air, only to look down and see a black figure staring up at me.
@bryanjay1984 I would see legs walk by when I was stocking shelves only about two feet tall, each shelf. But the creepiest was when I turned a corner and saw this black figure walking slowly in a sort of jerking motion. I watched it walk all the way across the doorway of the big bay dock door, for at least two to three minutes. I wasn't the only one there to see it either. Two other guys I worked with had similair experiences with pitch black shadow figures.

I thought it was one of my co-workers screwing around, so I started to walk towards it, but as soon as I did, I black figure stood up from behind the pallet and walked about ten feet away before disappearing
Yeah, I saw one of these before. I don't know either if it was an illusion, or a waking dream. Just walking around my house alone when a humanoid figure, who looked more like a black hole than something with physical features, walked down my stairs and turned into the first room on the right. I thought I was going to jump out of my skin. What bothered me was the fact that I was facing it when it walked past. I don't have any answers, that's just my personal observation of the phenomenon.
oh yea iv seen them before but in color sometime i dont anymore really but when i was a little kid i seen them more but if there in color thay have shadows in there eyes, what i think thay are is i think chi & ki energy and emotions are one with each other and i think energy are left behind it might not be a real person there but more like a tree not a real thing (soul),(life-form) but energy left behid and some people can see it cause i seen my brother as a shadow figure and hes not dead
I have always been interested in the paranormal, but I don't think people should blindly accept an idea based on mere anecdotal evidence. Then again, like the widely acknowledged phenomenon of "Ball Lightening" these supposed Shadow People can't be easily tested in a laboratory setting (which is the real Gold Standard for acceptance by the scientific community at large.) So honestly, I don't know what to make of it. Maybe one day, science will have a logical explanation.

When I was 7/8 I used to seem them every night walking around my house. I don't know what they are, but I feel that they may be astral travelers... They never harmed or scared me in any way... I was scared seeing them, but they never did anything to indicate negativity.
We have seen several here, in our haunted apartment building (old hospital). One running through the front door, one standing on top of the landing, one peering from around the corner. We lived in another haunted house, and we all saw it running quickly, around and around the house.
floaters they are blobs of gas that can form in the eye and float across your vision creating that shadow effect also if theres a delay in pupils dilating whatever is in your imagintion can form in your surroundings have sometimes brought creepy stuff out of dreams heh but yeah could also be paranormal,currently shadows i see looks like medusa its a shadow can see loads of snakes or worms but dunno if its a germ or i got eggs in my eyes or what,but hope i dont see it as might turn to stone heh

Seen them twice in my life these things are real...Saw one jump into a cupboard when i was a kid in broad day light and saw one jump across 3 single beds when I was in Egypt...My travelling partner saw it about 10 min later jump across the beds too...They're 2 dimensional, very very fast and they kind've 'hop' then ....Vanish!
My daughter saw two shadows on her second story apt today; April 11, 2011 at 8am. It was very scary looking in her patio window; a small one and a tall one. She got video if you want me to send it to you. We are so shuck up about it. My grandson mention seeing one the night before. I saw two shadow people when I was little, (no hats though, not that I remember)... they were long tall thin and were almost replicas of each other superimposed upon each other very closely... My wife used to see the "hat man" when she was a child. A few weeks before we were married I saw the hat man too. I woke up and he was standing at the foot of my bed. He looked like he was wearing a cloak and a large fedora or old Spanish style hat. He was surprised that I awoke so abruptly and looked right at him. He backed away and disappeared.

they are real. those of us who have seen them (or REPEATEDLY) are not shaken by the doubters in their natural ignorance. Nobody WANTS to see these 'things' but when you DO...there is no denying it. I experienced this too many times to count as a kid and besides it being scary was a VERY strong sense(in a way that kids do not normally sense)that it meant something as well. I don't spend time worrying about people who do not believe that water is WET...or people who disbelieve of shadow people.

I have seen a full-bodied apparition of the hooded figure type once before, but mostly just out of the corner of my eye or in passing as a darting, moving shadow. The moving shadow ones I have seen during daylight, in crowds, and in my home. They always look like an unexpected blip in my vision, and when I turn back to look again it's gone. Strange and extremely fascinating subject.

I experienced the same type of thing in a lucid state after having sleep paralysis. I felt like I was sitting up in bed in my room and I saw this black thing darting around really fast ( like a wood spider) in the corner of my eyes. Finally I manged to focus on it and it was a pitch black "friar tuck" looking thing over against the wall..a black hooded robe floating mid-air with no legs and with no discernable face. It was blacker than any black I had ever seen.

I was instinctively repulsed and alarmed by the thing sort of like the way you would automatically swat a fly that landed on your face or something..so without thinking I lunged at it and yelled GO AWAY! I felt some sort of energetic altercation but I clearly over powered it and it vanished. I have been attacked by other things during sleep paralysis that were FAR worse and more powerful that I was simply no match for and left me whimpering like a scared dog.

I used to live in a place where everybody who stayed the night tell me it's haunted. Anyways, one day (in DAYLIGHT!) I was sitting at my desk. I noticed a person in black walk through the door on my left, pass behind me and stop in the corner on my right. I though it was my boyfriend so I started talking to it but got no response. I turned to look and no one was there! When it came into the room and passed me, I felt the breeze and heard breathing so I know it wasn't imagined.

@sparx3600 I have seen these when I was 8-9 years old about 3 times darting down the hallway VERY FAST. recently, i had sensations of hair standing up in parts of my neck and knew, but pretended i didn't notice and it stayed around for a while off of both corners of my eye behind me. i realize it either stayed around or haven't left since i was 1 night awaken in a reflex manner as if something jolted me over and over half asleep even with the light on.

It really bothers me that I havent figured it out yet, but there's probably a good reason , I believe the memory will surface when it's the right time, and I'll def. be sure to post more details as I try to solve this, as for now, I will just study them as much as I can and meditate to try to coax the memory out. I cant remember what happened after that, I only remember telling my brother about it later. Now I have to make the realistic assumption that it was a dream, but only because I haven't been able to remember the rest, this memory actually surfaced after searching online about them because of a sighting between me and my mom, I was reading about red eyed ones and the memory just hit me, I do remember that at the time I didnt even think it was a dream at the time and I still dont.

It looked exactly like the figure to the right at :09. The wierd thing is, I wasn't scared when I first saw it, I was actually quite curious to what it was, so I reached out and touched it, it felt wet (I actually thought it was a ghost dog, sounds wierd but I guess I thought that because the hood looked kind of like floppy ears, and then when I touched it, I thought it was like a tongue, because I pretty much poked it in the face) I then jumped out of bed and ran full speed across the house

They do not ever seem to attack me. But they do try to scare me. They also do follow you around. Not all the time; it is random and often they're gone for long periods of time. However, I never got the sense that they wanted to harm me or cause me to hurt others. They are frightening though. I have seen them as a child up until now and I still prefer to say they're not real because to awcknowledge them at times seems to give them more strength. I think we can give them energy to disturb us.

I've seen three white ones one time also. I was sitting in my car parked in a secluded wooded area and it was broad daylight still.. I believe it was 5pm.. I've seen way too many and too vividly to not believe... Sometimes I wonder if I'm going crazy or seeing things. But I've seen them dead (straight) on, meaning not in the corner of my eye. They definitely exist... I saw three walking around like you and me earlier this week and it was nothing to be scared of. Hell they were jumping on my sisters trampoline with me at like 10pm. Not sure why they were here but the dudes treated me like a brother and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The last time I saw them was Tuesday when I went to bed. I see them and feel their presence quite a bit. They never scare me; however, the type of energy they carry could frighten me. It's their way of warning me. I saw one once at my girlfriends apartment. She opened the front door and walked out to the patio. When she did a shadow person followed her. I was staring at it then it turned to me as if realizing that I could see it. I think it just phased out when she walked back through the door way. I was thinking I was making it up till I noticed my dog crying starring in that same direction. I know he saw it too. As I thought back I remember seeing a hat on the guy. the one in a hat is it exactly.

The Shadow Hat Man has long wavy hair, a moustache and goatee, and wears a old time suit with a big tie and long coat. When he appeared to me I saw no legs or arms all I saw was his head and torso and it appeared to be moving and then vanished . He has a big grin on his face. He can also appear looking completely burnt black with big red eyes.

just thought id mention also Ive had strange heavy spirit like creature sit on me whilst in bed and I could scream or move it was really weird ..looked into it more and turkish folklore has it that bceause i was laying like a deadperson on my back it came to take my soul and its actually called kara kula meaning (dark something) in turkish...ive had it happen numerous times when I was younger but hasnt happened for years now so I really believe some of us are chosen to be contacted like this

@gengiz When I was about 9 years old in bed at night, I would have two experiences; witnessing a shadowy figure walking towards me and the sensation of someone laying on top of me. I was petrified of the shadowy figures, so I would put toys in my bed for protection (child logic) with the covers over my head! Once under the covers, my body would tremble and then I would feel someone laying on top of me for a short time. This would occur 3 times a night! I haven't experienced this for years!

I was staying at a friends that has passed now and it was the spare room, middle of the night like 2 am I was sleeping on my stomach face down and felt something touching my shoulder when I terned I saw very briefly for like half a second an old lady with really grey hair and face she had a hood over her head and it was like a trenchcoat dark colour..then it just dissapeared. Couldnt sleep again and when friend woke up I mentioned it to her and she looked to her husband and said see i told you!

I kept seeing a small figure peaking out from the corner of my old houses kitchen counter when I did all nighters for school. I was overly stressed because of the work but more than once I had seen a purely nothing but shadow figure. Creeped me out.

Cont: A small, childlike figure with an abnormally small head for it's body size, no pigment, pure black. Eyes that took up most of its head and arms long enough to reach the ground. I rounded the corner quickly after I heard her scream and caught the edge of it's body shooting around the corner to the back of my apartment complex (no lighting). Ever since we've felt another presence around us though now it feels more threatening.

I've been able to see them since I was a child. My imaginary friend as a kid was a pure black humanoid figure. I don't feel threatened by them because of my time as a child with them, they would entertain me and keep me company. After I grew past 10 I stopped seeing them until 4 months ago. I saw one when i was 15, I was in bed and woke to a silhouette of a person standing at the end of my bed. I just ignored it but then it moved up next to me and leaned over and whispered something in my ear (I couldnt make it out but it was a mans voice). I ignored it, hoping it would go away, which it did. I saw it again in a dream at my ex's house, it was standing at the door, a male silhouette, staring at us laying in bed. Next thing this 'evil spirit' thing flew right at my face and I woke up

I have seen one!! once i was walking home from my friends house with my 1 friend justin there was this one house infron,t of the stairs he lives in a complex so i looked at the house and there was a blue light it was like cold blue i looked at it and there was a pitch black shadow figure standing by that window with the light in it.It looked at me and just stared at me and then all of the sudden the lights wen,t out and it wen,t away i was shit scared and y friend saw it too.

in my experience they are a soild shadow they can remove the shadow if you bug them about it without the shadow mine looked white grey sharp teeth claws. they are fast and weigh very little one ran over me when i was under a matress the thing was heavy enough to flip the matress but not heavy enough to crush me i believe they can manipulate their weight because i went after it ready to fight then it jumped down from my tree taking out several large branches and then i turned around and ran away

well im labeled as a schizo and my most intense realistic hallucinations are the shadow person/people. staring at me around corners and then charging at me another time lol I guess being crazy I was able to look directly at this for seconds before I blinked and it was gone. my friend was perfectly normal up until his junior year in high school when he started saying he saw shadow people. he came to school in tears sometimes and cuts on his back and all he would say was they attacked me again. and NO he has never used any drugs or anything. he committed suicide 3 years ago at his girlfriends house, threw himself out her bedroom window. love him and ill miss him dearly.. i cant stop looking into paranormal stuff now

I work in a very big nursing home, and have started to see them around the place quite often. About a week before it started I was at home and there was a knock on the door, no one there, we have a 6ft wall and a gate to get through before you get to the door just to note it wasnt kids. About 6yrs. ago I seen a Shadow person when I was 7 months pregnant. I noticed it try several attempts to get my attention by knocking on walls and doors, until finally it popped up in front of me. The crazy thing is...it was dark in the room and if it wasn't for it's strong presence (feeling like something was going to happen) I probably would not have saw it. I also noticed the house we stayed in was very eerie. Felt like someone's always watching you. My baby died a week later after seeing it

I've had a few experiences with shadow people and non of them good. The shadow person always catches me in bed and starts to choke me and i couldn't breath. The only way to stop the choking was to say " fuck off satan ". and then it left. Same thing happened to me when i was camping. The shadow person came through the trailer wall and started choking me. I said the same thing and it left into another part of the trailer. Can someone please tell me i'm not alone with this terrible experience?

The reason they faze in and out and appear as glitches is because they are in the spiritual realm, they are revealed as clear as day mostly to people who have a tight relationship with God and Jesus and who are in constant prayer. I've seen one and only one, it was a full body apparition, it walked between my mom and i and it went into her bedroom and sank into the floor. I remember first just a flash of black go past my field of vision(it was just inches from my face) then I watched it proceed past her bedroom doorway, I think it knew I saw it because it dropped into the floor so fast, its hard to explain how it walked because it moved its legs but it more less just glided along

Tall Shadow of a man, as tall as a door frame... big ears, bald, skinny guy. Came into the room when i was laying in bed, walked to my side and stood by me for a few seconds, and walked out. All our shampoo and soap is on the tub floor in the morning every day. We hear foot steps up and down the stairs... WHAT IS THIS THING. Note* no visuals til i moved in...

I saw one when I was a kid, it was tall and had glowing red eyes and walked from my living room into my bedroom, right past my bed where I was and disappear right before it got to the bathroom doorway. Then, at my last job, working in a freezer. I saw that one on several occasions. The first time I was on a forklift about 20 feet in the air, only to look down and see a black figure staring up at me.

@bryanjay1984 I would see legs walk by when I was stocking shelves only about two feet tall, each shelf. But the creepiest was when I turned a corner and saw this black figure walking slowly in a sort of jerking motion. I watched it walk all the way across the doorway of the big bay dock door, for at least two to three minutes. I wasn't the only one there to see it either. Two other guys I worked with had similair experiences with pitch black shadow figures.

I thought it was one of my co-workers screwing around, so I started to walk towards it, but as soon as I did, I black figure stood up from behind the pallet and walked about ten feet away before disappearing

Yeah, I saw one of these before. I don't know either if it was an illusion, or a waking dream. Just walking around my house alone when a humanoid figure, who looked more like a black hole than something with physical features, walked down my stairs and turned into the first room on the right. I thought I was going to jump out of my skin. What bothered me was the fact that I was facing it when it walked past. I don't have any answers, that's just my personal observation of the phenomenon.

I have always been interested in the paranormal, but I don't think people should blindly accept an idea based on mere anecdotal evidence. Then again, like the widely acknowledged phenomenon of "Ball Lightening" these supposed Shadow People can't be easily tested in a laboratory setting (which is the real Gold Standard for acceptance by the scientific community at large.) So honestly, I don't know what to make of it. Maybe one day, science will have a logical explanation.

When I was 7/8 I used to seem them every night walking around my house. I don't know what they are, but I feel that they may be astral travelers... They never harmed or scared me in any way... I was scared seeing them, but they never did anything to indicate negativity.

We have seen several here, in our haunted apartment building (old hospital). One running through the front door, one standing on top of the landing, one peering from around the corner. We lived in another haunted house, and we all saw it running quickly, around and around the house.

floaters they are blobs of gas that can form in the eye and float across your vision creating that shadow effect also if theres a delay in pupils dilating whatever is in your imagintion can form in your surroundings have sometimes brought creepy stuff out of dreams heh but yeah could also be paranormal,currently shadows i see looks like medusa its a shadow can see loads of snakes or worms but dunno if its a germ or i got eggs in my eyes or what,but hope i dont see it as might turn to stone heh

Seen them twice in my life these things are real...Saw one jump into a cupboard when i was a kid in broad day light and saw one jump across 3 single beds when I was in Egypt...My travelling partner saw it about 10 min later jump across the beds too...They're 2 dimensional, very very fast and they kind've 'hop' then ....Vanish!

My daughter saw two shadows on her second story apt today; April 11, 2011 at 8am. It was very scary looking in her patio window; a small one and a tall one. She got video if you want me to send it to you. We are so shuck up about it. My grandson mention seeing one the night before. The path they took was in the air because the patio wasn't that long, so they had to float. VERY strange. Dark shadows.

I saw two shadow people when I was little, (no hats though, not that I remember)... they were long tall thin and were almost replicas of each other superimposed upon each other very closely... I was freaked out a little bit, but they did not last too long... I did not feel malevolent intentions from them....

i have been seeing them since i was five years old and sometimes i wake up at night and see one standing there and think its an actual person there but its just like a blank person is there then its gone i don't know why but they do seem to stalk you. you can't really describe what they look like other than a person. although they look like shadows its as if you can reach up and touch them and they would be solid like a person.

I believe it. When i was younger, i would see a shadow figure leaning over me by my bedside as i am trying to sleep (I had a mirror across from my bed, so i would see it from the corner of my eye whenever I would not look directly at the reflection of me and my bed. Ohhh i had trouble sleeping for quite some time. Then i just slept on the side of my bed that doesnt have my mirror's reflection on it.

My wife used to see the "hat man" when she was a child. A few weeks before we were married I saw the hat man too. I woke up and he was standing at the foot of my bed. He looked like he was wearing a cloak and a large fedora or old Spanish style hat. He was surprised that I awoke so abruptly and looked right at him. He backed away and disappeared.
