  • I think the NC used this clip

  • Anybody else think of the AVGN at 7:05?

"This thing, is total fucking gar-bitch!"

  • i think i saw clements part of the wizard in nostalgia critic's tribute of siskle and ebert! :D

  • these guys saved millions of people from hours of "volunteered labor" lol

  • Awesome editing, and even more awesome song selection!

  • @TheDeeFormed Cartoons have been acclaimed for their versitility in story telling and character development. You can do things in animation that you cannot do in live action. I irony is that you trolls act more like cartoons than we do. Bottom line: If you don't like the video, DON'T FREAKING WATCH IT!

  • @hall9111 OH PLEASE, WHICH TROLL ARE YOU TODAY? GO BACK TO YOUR LITTLE KIDDIE SHOWS. I WILL COMMENT ON ANY VID TOO BAD TOO SAD

  • EBERT=UGLY

    FANS=LOSERS

  • @TheBitchinbabs Ebert=Awesome.

    You=Pot calling the kettle black.

  • oh what did he say about it? oh tell me what to think? oh, ebert failed at writing movies but since his fans have no taste they seek his blessing

  • Eternally young, my arse! I love Roger Ebert, but that guy was an old-fashioned prude when he was young!

  • What the fuck is wrong with you people? When Ebert was really popular, I never watched his show because I thought he was kind of a dick. If you don't like him, don't watch him. It's as simple as that. He's still one of the most popular critics in America. Him and his fans aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Get used to it. I go look at these comments, and people are telling him to rot in hell from cancer! What did he trash your movie or something? That's fucking sick. You all need to get lives.

  • @nygiantsfan6 feel free to suck his dick, the pompous drunken hypocrite, As ugly as Ebert always looked, his wife looks like cedric the entertainer

  • @daveybaby131 People like you are why I've lost faith in humanity.

  • @nygiantsfan6 Agreed. I used to not like Ebert myself, just only a few years from now did I actually start to read his reviews ever week. People don't like him because he dislikes a film that everyone here may love dearly, and I can understand that. But insulting him with name-calling and threatening him is below-the-belt and completely immature. They need to either grow up or express their hatred somewhere else other than here.

  • Thanks Dottie for your insight. The only fun time I could imagine concerning this vicious bag of shit Ebert would be at his funeral. A movie critic who was involved in totally worthless crap like "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" "Who Killed Bambi" and "Beneath the Valley of the Vixens" . Never heard of them? Shit to make a quick buck off sex. Even Siskel hated him, Look ar this gross ugly nerd and imagine his fan club! What woman would fuck that? I wouldn't.

  • @CuriousGeorgeMonkey9 No, I'm glad Ebert is now reaping the negative results of his contempt at a time of mourning for the family. He will be haunted till his last day, which won't be long as he is already rotting from cancer. It's great for me that he so stupidly "spoke". I couldn't stand him anyway and now there is a vast pool of Ebert enemies. We will have to agree to disagree. And nothing can change his image of giant cartoon glasses, grim clothes and smut screenplays.

  • @ZarahLean Wishing death on another human being is a terrible thing to do. I don't hate Ryan Dunn, and I wish he were still alive today. However, I'd like to point out that Roger is 100% cancer-free at the moment, and that he also has a "vast pool" of fans on his side. As for his image, yes, Roger is noted for his "giant cartoon glasses" and "grim clothes". That's what makes him Roger. And describing "BTVOTD" as a "smut screenplay" makes no sense. It's actually a pretty good movie.

  • @ZarahLean However, it's time to drop this debate and "agree to disagree". If you wish to discuss Roger Ebert's response to Ryan Dunn's death, please comment on a video devoted to that topic. This page is reserved for fans of Roger and his show. I should also point out that Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert eventually became best friends and, that they regarded one another as "brothers".

  • @CuriousGeorgeMonkey9 Yes well dear I'll comment on any page Mr Monkey.

  • I know how to solve this dilemma Ebert liked the fast and the furious movies except one. Ryan Dunn can star in a movie called two fast two furious, where he... Oh Wait.

  • love the sonic 2 casino level music

  • The question at the beginning, "What kind of sex they would have?", referring to the Herbie movie, is a very good question. Maybe doggie style or would that be called "car style" or what?

  • Jaws 2 was pretty good!

  • YOU WALKED OUT OF A MOVIE WITH DAN AKROYD?! YOU BASTARD!

  • Wait, Siskel though Michael Caine's shirt being dry was the most glaring error? Isn't Jaws Revenge the one where the shark roared? At least according to the youtube clips, anyway.

  • 6:49 HO HO HO

  • 9 People are Ben Mankewitcz and Ben Lyons

  • @PowerGlove79 And A.O. Scott.

  • @thesearevideos15 A.O. Scott is nowhere near the awfulnewss of Mankewitcz and Lyons.

  • THAT's THE CASINO NIGHT LEVEL THEME FROM SONIC 2!!! WOULD RECOGNIZE IT ANYWHERE! IT WAS MY FAV. (When I was a little kid I wrote lyrics to it!) "The casino, in the night is bright, but not as bright, as your eyes tonight. . . "

  • @washbrook45 I'm going to hear those lyrics every time I hear that song know

  • @Ichiboy900 Sorry, dude. It's catchy tho eh? Child Prodigy lol

  • Very funny and I love all three of them. Not always in agreement (they weren't always with eachother!) but that doesn't matter. Very fun.

I like the Sonic 2 music, which is ironic because they start talking about Nintendo as soon as it starts playing. And at that time, Nintendo and Sega were big rivals.

  • Thank God!! We need Ebert back on the TV. To tell us what is good and what is crap.

  • I love how serious they were talking about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles NES game level, lol

  • Comment removed

  • "It's like saying the napkin is good in a bad resteraunt!!!" LOL :)

  • Good news dudes! Roger Ebert has just returned to television with a brand new show!

  • 0:17 "What kind of sex they would have?"

    LOL

  • @Gi1BrO

They would ram each other from behind.

  • Love your choice of music

  • Which Sonic theme is playing in the background?

  • @TheGENOCIDIST Casino Night from Sonic 2

  • Where's the North review?!?!?!?!?!!?

  • Ebert: I wonder what kind of sex Herby would have?

    Roeper: Uhhhh...

  • enjoy it right here a^v^a^t^z.net remove ^

  • I have stayed up all night for weeks pondering what kind of sex volkswagons have.

  • i just watched superbad, i keep seeing Cera as Siskel and Jonah as Ebert.

  • @BigFliper5 i would actually love to see that

  • Another great clip that should be included here: Ebert & Roeper's review of "The Indian" (starring Anthony Hopkins) where Roep really embraces his Uncle Richard role. I can't find it anywhere though, maybe someone else can?

  • @scatcoitus . wow, cheer up dude!! it is very obvious you hate life and want to bring people down. however it won't work on this page, because most who come to this video are intelligent and have high respect for siskel, ebert and roeper. gl in life, you will need it.

  • @RottenJaws wow, your reading comprehension needs work, you comment made no sense.

  • @SparksDrinker Oh please cum drinker, get a life. This vid is about turd-o Ebert

  • @gottfriedthegod wow your comebacks are so boring. good luck in junior high.

  • gotta love em

  • What video game is this music from?

  • sonic and tails!!!

  • Commissioner of creepers!

  • take the music out! :)

  • you know sometimes theses guys were off on movies but at least they were likable people along with scott and phillips. The reason the bens failed was cuz they were not likable at all

  • "And the problem with that is, THERE AREN'T ANY STREETS IN VENICE!"

  • Smart men who clearly love film. God i miss this show.

  • You ruined the whole video by adding that music. I hate you!!!

  • "Your Uncle Richard is an old, old man..." LMAO I wish Ebert & Roeper where my uncles haha

  • what kinda sex they would have.... Are you alright rog...

  • 10 minutes of non stop laughing, goddamn!

  • I am so glad I am not watching this drunk. If I was, I would be shitting myself laughing.

  • I don't always agree with Ebert, but I definitely think he's funny.

  • These guys actually seem like really nice people. I wish I could have had the opportunity to sit down and watch films with them and then debate them afterwards. It would have been fun, I'm sure.

  • sonic soundtrack<3

  • Roeper was sort of a hack.

  • Ebert got to the 2nd stage of TMNT huh? He probably couldn't get past the damn seaweed part at the dam like most people, god I hated that.

  • @malathis0 Yep. They played it on the show.

  • @fastfoodclowns actually, Siskel was a jewish man, Ebert is of German Catholic descent, not that abnyone's ethnicity should matter in criticizing them you anti-semitic piece of shit

  • what kind of sex does Herbie have? autoerotica of course

  • "It adds up to months, years, even centuries! Lost forever to the human race..."

One of my favorite Ebert quotes!

  • roger ebert is a hero of mine

  • @nschulz4537

For me to. Very well spoken and intellectual, damn I wish I could here the words out of his mouth again...even if he wasn't reviewing a film

  • the music is from sonic the hedgehog for those who don't know

  • I Still Know What you did last summer review was hilarious haha, good stuff man

  • Man I always hated Segal. He was just a ponytail, and I guess he knows martial arts, but all the movies I saw him in it was always quick cutaways or stuntdoubles. Hack!

Van Damme always was better, and I compare the two because this was conversation fodder at my 4th grade cafeteria. And now with JCVD, its safe to say I was right.

  • Fun times with Siskel and Ebert (...and Roeper) AND with Sonic 2 msuic? Win,

  • 6:49 Roeper's laughing cracked me up

  • I love these guys. Great vid.

Ebert and Siskel's chemistry and dry humor are a delight.

  • I love these guys. Great vid.

Ebert and Siskel's chemistry and dry humor are a delight.

  • Roger Ebert totally nailed them on the Wizard review regarding the turtles game!

  • I WILL DESTROY YOUR MIDI MUSIC

(good compilation except for that. it's really funny that ebert liked garfield II)

  • 4:08 - Perfect depiction of 'Jeepers Creepers 2'.

  • thankyou so much for putting this togethor

  • You can see the affect the brain cancer was having on gene when they review I Still Know What you did last summer =(

  • the music is making me go insane

  • Great work editing this together man. "Casino Night Zone" seems to work well for some reason.

  • "I'm going to go home and just cry."

  • "I think I'm gonna start crying right now."

  • i agree with roger on the garfield movie... it's good enough to serve its purpose... entertaining kids

  • "out of water fish." Ebert always teased Siskel for speaking incorrectly.

  • Roeper's confused ummm...at the beginning is hilarious with the sudden cut.

  • Sonic BABY!!!!

  • I walked out on black sheep too lol

  • As if kids watch this show.

  • I did lol

  • Really like how old? Well I don't think many kids so anyway. When I was a kid I didn't really care what critics thought about Spy Kids or whatever movies I was going to see.

  • I love this show!

"It seemed like English is a second language to her" aha!

YES! White Chicks is soo terrible. They would be surprised to know how many people actually love that movie and other terrible ones they mentioned.

  • haha just like megan fox. damn i wish the guys were still around to review/slam that movie. and white chicks was horrible too

  • Just for using the sonic music I wanna hug you.. AND ..this is a hilarious montage. I love Ebert. One of the biggest shames of the last decade is the movies Ebert wasn't on the show to review...

  • "I know. Dead." Deadpan and perfect. Classic Siskel delivery.

  • LOVE the Sonic the Hedgehog Casino Level music in the background!

  • @Kroovy68 Somehow it fits the mood of the reviews, especially the ones with the 80s set like Jaws the Revenge and Wizard reviews.

  • That's like saying the napkin's good at a bad restaurant! LOL!

  • The last summer review was my favorite of this video.

  • Nice compilation.

Also, I can see the difference in Roger from the 80's-90's and Roger while he was battiling cancer in the mid 2000's.

Did anyone else think his voice was getting more hoarse during that time?

  • this gets a little scary by the end

  • Casino Night Zone!

  • good points about the numerous errors of jaws the revenge

  • @jjfan824 "What happened to the shark in the first film? Blown to bits, second one dead, third one? They' all died. So what shark is this? Distant cousin?" LOL

  • Roeper doesn't know what he's talking about. Mayonnaise is delicious! :P

  • Nostalgia Critic sampled this video, for his just released, and very well made Siskel & Ebert tribute! I noticed it from a mile away, when i saw the bit from The Wizard

  • I just saw it too. I was incredibly happy and surprised. lol

  • Comment removed

  • BTW Your compilations are awesome!

  • I just watched this movie for the first time. When I was watching the sample video from the Nostalgia Critic, I was wondering what the hell was with that music.

  • Ha! A lot of the comments were "How can you use Sonic 2 music for a movie about Nintendo?"

  • LOL! I never thought about that! It don't bug me, because I like both companies. it's ok, the video as a whole is awesome.

  • @frappermac No he didnt...this video has titles of the movies, NC used a different video because there was no title in his clip.

  • no matter how much you may love Ebert, you have to admit he gave thumbs up to an awful lot of trash.

  • uhm i know this is not a real chat but.. Anyone up for some cam chat?^^

  • Too harsh with "Good Boy" and "White Chicks". Well done with "Jaws 87" Awful trashy movie!

  • are they talking about black sheep with farley? that was great!

  • I gave it one One star by mistake. This deserves 5 stars. In fact, ALL of these compilations deserve 5 stars!

  • That Ninja Turtles comment is AMAZING. I loved it... I want their DVD collection if such an awesome thing should exist.

  • 1:13 - is it just me or does Ebert have unusually large hands for a short fat man?

  • the music in the background sounds like one of the levels from Darkwing Duck for the NES

  • It's the Casino stage from Sonic 2.

  • These clips are some of the MOST hilarious comments I have ever heard. I miss these 2 duos. Hopefully AOS and MP can live up to this much fun.

  • That would be nice but I don't have confidence in them. Michael Phillips was just average on the show and A. O. Scott, while a good writer, is not so good at speaking, as he demonstrated at my college last year.

  • Nobody can replace Siskel and Ebert. They were funny, articulate, and intelligent. Every host that came after them completely dumbed things down.

I had the honor of meeting Ebert, and he was delightful. They are both missed.

  • @Arthur5041975

Exactly.. Gene had the Stature that commanded respect from Roger (and vice versa). Definitely miss those shows and those two.

  • @Arthur5041975 Ebert is still alive and still writes movie reviews...

  • i love how at the end, basically Ebert makes Roeper his bitch, by making him look silly!

  • Bam! TMNT FTW you the man ebert!

  • thank you ebert, tokyo drift was good. sure a little bad acting, but come on, it showcases some sweet car races and if i'm not mistaken the director followed it up with THE fast and the furious (2009)

  • Yeah, Ebert hated that film, though. It's really weird how he likes these things, I guess it's just a spur of the moment thing.

Also, I have liek a super fast honda car so lets race with nitrous n shit.

  • very excellent montage...well done.

  • Jessica Simpson is vapid and retarded.

  • Black Sheep was amazing.

  • How did you get all these clips?

  • I just record directly off of the At the Movies website.

  • "I'm gonna go home and just cry"

biggest laugh I've had in a while

  • ebert is the man eternely young thats me.

  • I love the sonic soundtrack in the background.

  • What's the movie at 7:16?

  • 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer'

  • Thanks.

  • To Mechafire, the movie was I Still Know What You Did Last Summer

  • "Kids, your uncle Richard is an old. old man."

Reminds me of when Kevin Smith was on and called Roeper a "hate tank" for not liking a kid's film. God I miss this show (and make no mistake, it is dead).

  • Eh, I don't really buy the hate tank. Even if they are kids movies, there good ones and there are bad ones.

It is funny though when they pick on each other.

  • Good news! At the Movies dumped their last 2 hosts and replaced them with AO Scott and Michael Phillips!

    Rejoiceeeeeeeeeeee

  • (Hallelluja Chorus) Hell yea!!!!!!!

  • "I'm being punked, right?"

    Lol..love Roeper.

  • Classy using Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2 for this vid, nice

  • Sonic music?

  • you can barley hear it lol

  • May i just say that the world of movie critics just isn't the same without Siskel,Ebert and Roeper, Maybe i just need to get used to them but i really don't care much for the new guys. Ben and Ben. I also prefer Thumbs Up and Thumbs down to See or and Skip It any day.
