  • I like yoga stretching more than old-fashioned stretching. I was really just searching for a short yoga stretching video, but yours was very good. I would definitely do it again.

  • Actually, stretching before a workout is a myth people. Scientific studies have been done about this. Don't take my word for it though, do your own research. The studies concluded that people that stretched before workouts felt the same as people that didn't stretch before workouts. All you need to is movement to get the muscles ready people. Jump up and down and toss your arms around for a few minutes before lifting weights. Once again, do not take my word for it. Google it. :)

  • You can do most of these leg stretches sitting on the ground which takes the strain off your knees.

  • All but one of the stretches shown here are dangerous and outdated training methods which can damage muscles by causing microtrauma/tears. They also leave the person using the methods with NO stretched muscle.

    Hamstrings CANNOT be stretched properly in a standing position. Impossible.

    What is achieved there is simply an eccentric contraction, not a true stretch. Bad stuff. Caution all.

  • @furiousjuffowup Yes, just do the streches daily. I usually strech multiple times a day. Like if I'm just sitting around watching tv, I'll sit on the floor and strech out my legs. Flexibility takes time :) just keep working at it but don't over do it!

  • I can do this because in football we warm up and cool down with these stretches, just keep practicing it....We I first started it in football I fell a lot but now I can balance! Practice does make perfect!

  • @amv963 because you have overweight around your stomach. Drink water as much as you can at least 2 litres a day, keep practicing stretching exercises daily especially when you get up in the morning and before you go to sleep. Good luck.
