i live in the us and id be willing to give up my lifestyle to make other people overseas happy. those who believe in countries are fucking idiots. we are all humans on earth we should act like it. when one part of the earth is suffering its the duty of the richest part to support it. but instead everyone fucking thinks we get blood from the ground and that we aint the same type of human but truth is we all are the same.
What's stopping you, DaBlue? Is it easier to criticize others than actually put your money where your mouth is? The funny thing is, your lifestyle isn't even the best in the world. Thanks to US public education you think so, but according to the UN HDI, the US ranks 15th and is rapidly falling. But don't worry; the govt is working hard to take what you're not willing to give away now and give to whomever is deemed as needy. You can thank them later.
you are right that there are deep problems with education. The problem is essentially that education can be no more than providing a simulation for good dinner table discussion (such as, presumably, Einstein had as a child in his family). What an absurdity, to try to factor out from real life, the "discussion" part, and badge it as "education".
People only learn to read (in most cases) because they learn to read as a by-product of a loving relationship (e.g. with a sibling, parent or grandmother) who teaches them to read by reading to them.
