@tonyfalca The Doppler Effect; we perceive most astronomical objects as moving away from us, because their light is shifted a bit. The same phenomenon can explain why you hear a police car increasing in pitch as it approaches you.
don't expect another human being to answer that question. what you should do is read the lyrics for the band "Born of Osiris" of the album called "The Discovery".
bigbang teory is time to wake up.. our universe was created from another universe, how, you see black holes in the space?? that's what we are, we live inside of a ancient black hole, and time and space are infinite inside those black holes, they don't take you to new dimensions but to brand new infinite universe same as ours, another thing time is going way faster inside those black holes. 1 second in this universe could be thousands of years inside those black holes. that's my theory.. lol.
my question to all you tubers what would happen if space at some point expanded faster than light would it fall in on itself or rip space and time and cause a type of worm hole ????? im not sure what to believe
@paradox3578 the reason why light can't scape black holes is because it enters into a new time space dimension, one secon here is thousands or even million of years, same for space,
My name is Mark Maloney; I would like to invite you to visit my website Epluribusunum56. com. In fact all the science of space and everything humans know about space are nothing but assumptions. science cant explain anything, it just guesses. Sadly a hypothesis is taken for fact until proven wrong, while it should be taken as a guess until proven right. Much of the things we get taught at school are just theories, on which more theories are based and so on. At the end we have theories based on theories of theories.
If a fundamental theory gets proven wrong, that will basically mean that the entire scientific structure will have to start over from the very beginning.
Some might say that we got so far just because of those theories, maybe, but maybe we would have gotten much further if we didnt take those theories for fact and leave them be but try to find actual proof.
Scientists try to explain things mankind is 1000s of years too early to understand, thus leading to false beliefs on which others base on.
Wrong, he did answer the question. He said there is no need to hypothesize higher dimensions because we can completely account for the expansion without them. BUT if you do want to imagine other higher dimensions than ours you can, but it's pure speculation.
I get that, but question is "What is space expanding into?"
That we can account for the expansion from an inside perspective without knowledge of what is on the outside is great, but it doesn't moot the question. Rather, the question sits unaddressed.
Maybe the question could be asked in a different way. I'm just nitpicking.
There is no "inside perspective" and there is no "outside" into which the universe can expand. Everything we know can be explained today without any appeal to higher dimensions.
i dont beleive in time as most. time does not go forward, we just happen to see it as such, time like most things are ALL at once, and so the universe is not expanding, it just IS it is at all possible forms at once, we just happen to look at time the wrong way. i mean, thats just what i think.
ok if time has a begining and everything moved forward from the begining of time then were did the energy needed for mass to exist come from??? you can NOT creat energy or matter, only change the form of the pre-existing. i am asking you sir then where did the energy needed for the "big bang" come from? and when sir when did it start??? it didnt start is the only logical answer, it has been always and time is infinite with no beginning humans see time as linear. but i believe it is not.
"I still believe the universe has a beginning in real time, at a big bang. But there's another kind of time, imaginary time, at right angles to real time, in which the universe has no beginning or end. "
well, i think that there are many possibilities in which things happen all at once... or an ex. Schrödinger's Cat: maybe you should look it up and READ it. maybe everyones theory is true, there is nothing telling nor showing us all that we are wrong, am i right? maybe you should do more reading up. *dont take it too much of an effence* that is what i think...
Some people are simply too stupid to get their heads around some questions and some questions are simply too dificult to formalise verbally. Think of it like this : the universe is an expanding balloon, space is the expanding surface of the balloon. We'r inside the balloon. If we travel through space, we are running along the INSIDE of the balloon. We arrive back ( eventually) where we started, never reaching an end, a wall, a new universe etc.
An better way to think about it is that outside of this universe doesnt exist untill the universe expands. Simple as that, there is no space, nothing outside of this universe.
If you came to the end of the universe and went beyond that, you (as part of this universe) would be expanding this universe into wherever it is you are.
The universe is made up of its elements, so it cannot expand beyond its elements, but if any of its elements (including you) went beyond that, the universe would be there too.
lol we need to think about everything this way. We don't need to hypothesis whether it is, it just is lol. Does space need to have an end? If it had an end, people would only ask themselves, "what is beyond the end of space?" There would be no end to it lol. You can do the same thing with religion and ask what created the creator. It'll never end.
So what happens when you get to the edge of that expanding space? If there's nothing on the other side (or if we don't need there to be something on the other side) how would you know that space had ended? Physically, I mean.
i have two ideas, u might just stop, not going any farther, like a wall. or we might end up at the exact oposite side of the univers, for example if the universe where squere, we might reach the left side, then apear on the right... or everything might turn into nothing and the exact point where u touched the end there is another big bang lol

Maybe everything in space (galaxies and hydrogen clouds/dust) are just getting smaller. Maybe we are all just disappearing up our own arses?

1. Scientific experiments
The argument about the expanding space is an empty argument! There is no way
to make scientific experiments with a space. The argument about expanding
space is not science. It is a religion!
The thing that particules radiate their energy is not an empty claim.
Particules can be examined and make scientifical experiment with them and
this way proof this claim to be true.

2. Let´s take long chutes from different materials into the space and place
telescopes to them to observe some known place of a star. If the energy that
comes to the chutes makes the photons moving in the chute to bend towards
the chute, we can this way observe that this star concerned seems to be in a
different place than it is known to be!

3. The sun does not curve the space. The energy coming towards the sun makes
photons passing by the sun to bend towards the sun, because the hot / thick,
small and little exterior surface possessing particules do not interact with
the photons passing by the sun!

4. Even Einstein once told us that the massive the object is, the slower the
time is.
In relation to the size of a star there is much more energy / substance in
the stars than in the photons. The substance / energy is denser in the stars
than what it is in the photons. The time of the stars is so slower than the
time of the photons!
Etimespace 2 years ago

5. This way the time of the old photons is faster than the time of the new
photons and the photons radiating from the stars do not tranfer their
kinetic energy to the photons passing by the star as much as the photons
coming towards the star do. This way the light bends at the same time it
passes the star without supposedly the star would bend the space!

Q. What is space expanding into?
A? Here's why I think it's expanding! Into either something or nothing! There are theories! But we don't need them, because we're expanding!
