Thank god,Annie herself never had cancer, but both her parents died cause of cancer.But Annie suffered since her teenage years from periods of depression.And that´s worse enough.

The BEST she ever performed was during Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party a few years ago. I think it was 2004. She SANG that song then - no back up, just her on the piano, and she changed it up a bit. She got a standing ovation for that one. I had it on my computer, but it crashed last week. If anyone finds that clip, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I have the song somewhere burned on CD, luckily, so if I find it, I'll post it.

Gosh that is so touching. Bare was so so dark but this song and The Hurting Time and O God gave hope IMO. Love this very poetic and beautifully sung. The Saddest Song was my favourite on the album.
