This is actually pretty simple, its just 4 transistors hooked up to 4 d/o pins on an atmega chip. The program toggles the pins on/off in succession to step the motor. This is a simple as your gona get!
@Halo2maniaccc Unless this is a bipolar motor, it can get even more simple. Just a 555 and a 4017, and four transistors. No programming and parts you can get at an electronics-store (well, let's say that those parts have a reasonable price at the electronics store)
@vanepico Well it depends how advanced you are in electronics. For example, 3 years earlier I didn't understand much of electronics, just copied other peoples schematics. But today, I design all my self wide range of Atmel AVR microcontroller based projects...
