However, God made these laws so that it would benefit us to build us up to become like Jesus. His rules also shows us that we cannot live up to His standards and realize that we do need a Saviour. Of course murder, rape, and slavery are never okay with God. God knows that sinful actions were bound to occur because that is the cost of free will. People have the potential to do good or do evil.
Now since mankind has fallen into sin, God gave His one an only Son to become the solution for this sin problem that we have obtained. But it is up to us with our own free will to either accept His solution, or reject Him.

I agree with the below responce. Are you saying that you would rather have a dictator God and not free will. Free will gives us the right to say yes or no to Jesus. Our Bible speaks of no one having an excuss for not recieving Him, creation bares witness to Him. And yes Jesus and God are the same and at a point the rules changed, God grew weary of man's attempt at rightousness so Jesus becae the final sacrifice. Again, He made rules like them or not.

God does love us and does not want us to go to hell. This is the reason why He sent Jesus to die for our sins so that we might obtain that righteousness of God.
God always gives us the opportunity to receive His Son. However, God created human beings to have free will.
If God were to be micromanage all of the actions we do, we would not have free will.

Do you understand the idea of the Old Law and the New Covenant? There were some pretty harsh rules in Old Test times, like it or not. Today we are not bound by those Laws but still read them as a rememberance of how big of a sacrifice Christ made on the cross. He died for the gay person and for the sins of our fathers, for all sins period. Remember we believe God created the entire universe it should not be much to ask for us to live by His rules, you know since He made us and all. Keep going.

Believe or not you should respect that we like the video above, and there are those here who are new, weak, or struggling in their faith and these videos help. You at that point just become a hinderance to people trying to express their faith and walk with Christ. I'm sorry you don't believe but come on why hinder others who do? Would you e-mail me questions if I gave you my e-mail address? I am a worship pastor and would love to talk, not try to convince, but just talk openly with you.

hey goldenscales i know some Christians can be total jerks and u may not be able to trust us but we r not all like that. God loves you no matter what his people do or say to u all u hav to do is follow Him. He has this amazing plan for ur life and all you got to do is choose to unlock it At times in our faith walk we slip and fall down and spirtually die or go to sleep but then God comes along and "wakes" us up its quite an amazing process actually

I know what it's like to be ostracized by other 'Christians' because of the way you dress, do you make-up and other things. However, I don't go around bashing all Christians. Why? Because I know that there are great Christians out there that truly care for God and others. We have to deal with enough comments from the world...we don't need any 'friendly' fire.

I did 'Find God'. He didn't like me all that much, for some unknown reason. Maybe it was because I didn't belong to the right clique. Maybe it was because I came from a poor family. All I know is that the 'Christians' treated me like dirt, and excommunicated me . No reason given. I was just thrown out of the congregation.'God commanded it so'.

I dunno, man. Looking at your other comments it just seems like you're trying to start arguments and cause trouble. Jesus calls us to repent, deny ourselves and follow Him. Maybe the church you went to was no good, maybe they were right, I really don't know your story. We are all sinners and need to repent of our sin--even us who think we're good people. (Maybe our sin is pride?) We need to stop making it about us and follow Jesus.

Doesn't that sound like Jesus death was final, and that by His grace our salvation is assured? The passage you quoted is about positions within God's church, not salvation!

I am truly saved! I have absloutlely NO wish to 'rebel' and 'ignore' him. I always try to do my utmost best to do what the Lord wants. Sure! I'm not perfect! Who is? Can either of YOU say you are perfect? I simply do my best to do what the Lord wants. In my personal eyes, I think that if you fell away from God, you would still go to heaven because you are still a child of God. BUT... what does it matter anyhow? I am trying to stick as faithful to the lord as possible! Does it really matter?
