@GKFC Behave. Of course they make sense. It's not about what Noel means, or what anyone else thinks they mean; it's about what you think they mean personally. To me the song's telling me to fuckin' cheer up and have it, 'cause there's always people worse off than you or there's always some miserable cunt getting nothing out of life. Just listen properly mate and the words translate themselves.
@GKFC It has got great lyrics. It's about being a geezer, feeling like the best fucking entity in the world. They're streams of consciousness but people at the same stage in life as Noel was at the time can relate to them; it gives them the hope that they can be Supersonic too. Oasis' songs all evoke an emotion so they do make sense. I get you're point 'Oh my dog's been itching, itching in the kitchen once again' doesn't make sense, but since when did rock n roll have to 'make sense'?

Liam's vocals are superb here. They still are just a bit more weathered from years of smokes and what not. Also, you've got to take into account he's quite a bit older. OLder or not, Liam Gallagher is still and will forever be my favorite vocalist/frontman. Liam kicks ass.
..cause ive been standing at the station-in need of eduaction in the rain. You made no preperations for my repuation once again-the sink is full of fishes, shes got dirty dishes on the brain and my Knobs been itchin...itchin in the kitchen once again! Some might say...ya know what some might say.
his voice hasent even given out... hes smoked alota cigs, and now he even wants to kinda have a scratchier voice.. its more rock... alot of people prefer it

Itching... you know... when something makes your skin itch.
Really though, to try and understand the lyrics to this song is a waste of time. Even Noel admits they are rather nonsensical.

"Some might say they don't believe in heaven, go and tell it to the man that lives in hell" That's a good line though.

Haha, if you say so. You probably think Supersonic has great lyrics too?
I think this song is good, but the lyrics are all over the place. It's just a stream of consciousness put to a melody.

They lowered it live and Liam still can't hit the notes in the chorus...
He really forced his way through this song. No wonder his voice gave out later.
