Good report... BUT I've had a ATV for four years and with the recent upgrade of software I cannot connect with iTunes... it does not show up on the iTunes Preferences panel... so I can't use iTunes with my Apple TV. This is the only way to get information onto the ATV... so it's a waste... until the next update... I hope.

i do like the fact that i can rent movies and buy movies without going to blockbuster

but for tv shows? i say no

Hey let me ask you something real quick and please answer cause I really wanna buy an apple tv im just unsure. Can the apple TV be synced with itunes like via the usb?? and if not how are you supposed to get your music and movies on there?

You can connect wireless to your network and it will sync the music from your computer or you can use Ethernet to connect to your network and sync the music. When you connect to the internet you have to go to your computer and under devices it will show the Apple TV. Then you sync it just like an iPod

if you download music threw limewire would it not transfer into apple tv. and does it not work if you dont have an itunes account?

All your music and videos have to be on iTunes and the Apple TV sync's the content from iTunes. But you can transfer all your music from Limewire into iTunes

also please do not take any of that stuff offensive because i love your vids, they are all very in depth and descriptive so it is really easy to learn about the product. that thing is a huge waste of money IMO. you can easily cable visual from your comp to your TV, plus you can get the vids/music from other sources for cheaper or free, also it seems you think everything apple is amazing when clearly apple creates stuff to rip people off. I'm really glad you will be reviewing other products other than apple. I'm not saying apple is terrible but some of thier most recent ideas are just ripoffs, why buy this IPAD for 600 bucks? why not buy a Macbook and or mac pro.

When you go to "internet" and then "network" what are the options in there??? Can you link it with your network threw your Ethernet wire and router to the hard drive on your computers so you can watch movies that you have stored on your computer?? I want to know if you can watch movies that you DL from torrent sites that are saved on your network?? There must be a way if your able to play music from your i Tunes that's stored on your computer. Because nobody PAYS for movies anymore at all...lol

Well if you download movies from torrent sites you need to transfer those movies into iTunes. You can't play anything off of a external hard drive. Same goes for music
