@FrozenMasters it was fake 1080p. its squished to the wrong resolution, and, when u put it into 1080p, it looks the same. the video was encoded for 1080p, but the quality of the footage put into it was downgraded drastically. i am also talking about the sound quality. notice that you can actually hear my voice in this one.
problem with spawner the aliens just run into the wall near them and stay there and dont run towards my marine unless i almost run directly into them and yes i have followed everything you showed
@seperothe sure. for other source games, its a little more layout oriented, but for AS, you pretty much just spam the entity ground_node everywhere. if you dont quite understand what i mean, look and one of the example maps provided by valve in the SDK directory.
@isackfj cool thanks i found another video from some other guy on it too also i have a couple problems with a map where i have a U shaped hallway and theres a locked door on one side of the U when i weld the door and go around the U the aliens run to the wall and watch me through it. is there a blocking brush or something so they only see the nodes to get around to me? also theres a section where i fall and the aliens stop moving when i fall ive tried all the nodes to no avail.
@isackfj yeah thats what i mean by tried all nodes and what not. They just seem to be attracted through the wall i even tried using a block los textured brush and still they just stare at me through the wall its wierd though cause it gives me the "move to goal with no route!" error message but theres plainly a pathway for them to follow.
i need help with makeing walls and floors no matter how hard i try the texture wont show its only colord like red or blue i think

@seperothe the next tutorial talks about ground nodes, which help the ai navigate around. in short, the next episode fixes that.
