Highland Laddie is lovely, but it is no longer the Regimental March of the Scottish Regiments, when they were reorganised in 2006 to form one Regiment it is now Scotland the Brave.
@ClassicalMonarchism All Scottish Line Infantry regiments are now amalgamted and march to Scotland the Brave, but the Scots Guards are still an independent regiment as part of the Household division, not the line infantry, and so still have their own march.
No, the Order is correct. It is called "Brigade Order" Grens Scots Welsh Irish Coldstream. That is the order they line up when all on parade together, starting from the right of the line.
Shame really, as the Coldstream are the longest continuous serving Regiment in the British Army. But that is another story.
Milanollo is the most technically difficult of all British regimental marches to play. I should know, after 22 years service in the Regimental Band!
Nice one! - got the seniority out of order but no matter - It's Grenadiers (single buttons), Coldstream (buttons in pairs), Scots (threes) Irish (fours) and Welsh (fives)
Wonderful! Answers all the questions about buttons, badges, hackles etc. I have a soft spot for Coldstreamers as I like their slow and quick march best. Used to watch Trooping of the Colour with dad. He was always very impressed. Being Bomber Command aircrew he said he didn't march, he scuffed! He'd grin, shake his head, and say "Brave buggers , the army". Good luck lads.
Cool Video. Well put together. Hate to nit pick but the Scots Guards March is Hielan Laddie not Highland Laddie. And the Irish Guards should come before the Welsh Guards. But Great videos.
I have an uncle who served as a lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards. LT Derek Kimberley. What a man.

Always liked 'St Patricks Day' - that's really something to whistle when walking to the station on a cold morning.

@Resholden But the Coldstream Guards are always placed at the end, never second, as their motto is 'nulli secundus' (second to none)
