  • It's so heart breaking

  • Rest In Peace Dan.

  • Lets face it.... American racing on a oval track isnt very exciting in itself. What people pay to see is exactly this. The spectacular crashes. Without them, these events would draw very few spectators.

  • @Janusha , oval racing can be very exciting, not for the crashes, but the speed and the close racing.

You just need to get to know the drivers and have a favorite.

  • @aexputs1974

And still... without these crashes, people wouldnt watch. Its not F1, its not LeMans.

  • @Janusha i watch for the racing not the crashes

  • @Janusha i agree. i think ppl watch ovals for the crashes, although i'm sure they don't wish anyone their deaths. kinda ironic. lol

  • RIP Dan..... :(

  • I can't stand it when people say this is so easy to do and Americans are stupid for liking it. Just think about it, they're going about 215mph+ in cars that weigh almost nothing side to side with 30 other drivers. That sounds challenging and also interesting to watch. If Americans enjoy the crashes so much then there wouldn't be these videos. Grow up and show some respect for people who race cars and have died doing it.

  • @IMTOOl3EAST that's what makes it UNNECESSARILY dangerous, driving virtually flat out the whole damn race while being very close to each other. key word there is unnecessary danger. of course motor racing would always be dangerous, but it shouldn't also be stupidly dangerous. oval + high speeds + high number of cars is just that.

  • its always sad when peaople are dying that way, but anyway i can't feel sympaty because this is waht american people want to see. They want to see big crashes. And for me its idiotic to drive in a cyrcle with less safety. If they crash they alway have a bad card. So it goes on and next year antoher driver dies and everybody is crying. Pure Idiotism

  • @ElAreira83 maybe you should realize that he enjoyed racing and you should grow up become a little more mature and respect the man not bash him. send me an invite to your funeral i'll piss all over you. RIP dan weldon :(

  • @ElAreira83

So what sport do you watch? Golf? Every sport has dangers, the players know all of them. Are you scared to leave your cave to go to school? It's pretty dangerous out in the world. You might get caught in the crossfire of a gang war, or maybe stabbed while getting mugged walking to your friends. I hear there has been a rise in drunk driving too. So many ways to die, least he went out doing what he loved.

Go die in some dark corner sulking in your own pathetic life.

  • @Volcatious

Anyway...I'm right. That is fact. So abuse someone else but not me. The most idiotic thing is, that you are comparing golf an indycar! Think about it!

  • @ElAreira83

lol, of course you're right. Your right in being exactly what you preach, troll.

  • @ElAreira83 I fail to see what you are talking about. Both Indy and Nascar have both taken big big steps to improve safety. Yes, people die still. its racing. They are going to. But you can't blame Indy and Nascar for it, or american's for that matter, what about the motoGP guy who died this morning? hmmm? He died in Malaysia! Not in america. No, not all tracks for Indy and Nascar are circles. Both have road courses like F1 and any other type of racing. Check your facts before you go commenting.

  • I stay at my conclusion, because its right. Only because I am telling the truth everybody is attacking me.

  • @ElAreira83 It's not right, it completely lacks truth in all components. The cars nowadays are much much safer than they ever have been.

  • why u support this stupid sports... cars moving in circle??? U all wait to some1 crash? Americans.........

  • @mdjuricic Fans of the sport love the excitement of side by side racing and to see who wins. Fans dont watch for crashes, and telling by your english, you would never understand. Its not stupid, is a way of life that many people enjoy including Dan Wheldon, with out racing, him and many other people wouldn't have had such an enjoyable life.

  • was dan wheldon Irish because why the they play those Irish instrument at people funerals

  • @sammysf415 He was not Irish, he was English and those instruments are bagpipes, which are Scottish

  • This is just another reminder that Indy 300 can be very dangerous.

  • so saavedra was the first 1 to make contact??

  • Absolute stupidity racing 36 cars on a high banked 1.5 mile oval. The organisers should be charged with manslaughter the dumb fucks. And I agree 100% with wllprkr below

  • RANDY BERNARD....you dumb ass mother fucker, this is on you. You could have cut the field down, and choose not to. Sleep well you dumb ass mother fucker

  • RIP Danny Boy
