This reporter doesn't understand nuclear physics. Radioactive iodine has half life of 8 days. That means after 8 days half of radioactive iodine will turn into normal stable iodine. After about 2 weeks, there will only be 1/4 amount left. In one month, there's little to no radioactivity coming from iodine.

What he said about "it's gonna stay longer" is totally false.

I live in Tokyo with my wife and baby and just bought about 5 litres of water from the shop to 'horde'. I don't care what the government say, we have stayed put through the the recent disasters while may others flee the country and have not been out panicishopping...but this is just too much.
