  • respect. salute.

  • John legend knows!

  • Build the Mosc somewhere else. We need a MEMORIAL on Ground Zero, nothing else. So no Moscs.

  • Since when did people get the right to not be offended? I'm confused.

  • John Legend is such a tolerant, educated person

  • and if u believe Bible and taurat is better than quran, are u telling Nokia 3310 is better than i-Phone? Just think....

  • i agree with rose. why do they need another one if they have two within walking distance? and those mosques have been there since before 9-11. we're not gonna tear them down now. WE DON'T BLAME ALL OF THEM FOR 9-11 so stop using that bullshit- that's an empty debate and shows that you gave no thought to this issue. but it is a very sensitive subject. why is that one so important to them? why do they NEED to build it there? and deevee- you are an ignorant racist and nothing more.

  • I still like John Legend musically but if there is a mosque 4 blocks away then why the hell do they need another one? How about a nice big Roman Catholic Cathedral? America was built by Christians!!!

  • @rose4490

But Obama said the US was NOT a Christian nation.

  • @TheMattswish Yeah but the Founding Father's were pretty much all Christians (some w/Deist beliefs) & freedom of religion was established b/c of primarily Puritan colonists (in Maryland the colonists were Catholic) who wanted the right to practice their religion. The thing people forget is that this country was built buy Judeo Christian people & say for instance most of the people who built the railroads were probably Buddhists but Muslims what have they done? Nothing really, except for complain

  • @rose4490

    0123456789

Thank god for Muslims or we would be using Roman numerals...

They also developed advanced algebra that us, educated people use.

So if you really want to complain that Muslims have done nothing but complain, you should change your name to:

    roseMMMMCDXC

  • @TheMattswish well you are takin it out of context b/c I wasn't refering to Muslims in regards to all of world history but rather to the scope of AMERICAN HISTORY! There is a mosque "4 blocks away" so there is NO NEED to build another. Gee I wonder if there are any churches or synogogues 4 blocks away? How does a Mosque have anymore right than a church or synogogue? Honestly it's probably better if NO house of worship is built within such a close proximity!

  • @rose4490

    You just confused me...

You were blaming Muslims, now your kind of supporting them.

  • @TheMattswish

i think you are mixing culture, history and religion in your comment.

    ...

and many mix religion with politics - bad idea...

  • @rose4490

This fella might be a stupid jerk. Don't know history. Go to school, study hard...alright rose4490? Otherwise people would love to say u r fool. Ahahks

  • @rose4490 complain? I've heard christians complain that they can't pray or preach in schools. I've heard them complain that intelligent design has not been taught in schools. I've heard them complain about abortion and gay marriage, and "communists." All I have heard Christians do is complain. I didn't hear a peep from the American Muslim community until after they started being targeted after 9/11. Who am I gonna believe when they say they are under duress?

  • THIS FILTHY NIGGER SHOULDNT EVEN BE SPEAKING HE HAS NO RIGHTS IN THIS WORLD FOR BEING A JIGGABOO

  • 3 people are jews........

  • john legend, you are a legend with words indeed. take out bill o'rilley and teach that racist fool about life.

  • @MohammedMansoor He'd get torn apart.

  • hello you all! Don't you know the 9/11 incidents was actually a propaganda of your country itself? Which country? You name me....all the world knew it. And the Osama, don't you know that he is one of YOUR agent, mayb F*I, C*A? He frame Muslim, actually he's still alive, that's why your country haven't reveal the truth of his death..If I were those who backup the "respective" country, I rather die...AHAKS! And O.S.A.M.A.&O.B.A.M.A.? They might be brothers

  • @YkS94. how many churches have you destroyed. how many have you killed in behalf of your religion. how about the temple mount in jerusalem? how about just recently to what happened to the families in south thailand that were killed because of your religion who were beheaded including children. i never see about you people complain about al qaida and condemn their actions.. and bin ladin was also being called a martyr by your people. you destroy the faith of christian and jew. isnt it true?

  • Yes you are my man......answreing some who syes can't biled a churge in saudia arabia. What if we biled a mosqe in the faracan tha home the pope

  • you try putting a church in saudi arabia... would those people allow free religion from other race???.. i am sure they will disapprove it. because in their country all of you americans does not have the right of free will and freedom. please dont let them take advantage of your freedom in the US.. never specially for those those who died in 9/11. please respect those who died for it.

  • @psia9383able stop your bullshit by assimiling islam with al qaida. islam doesn't have shit to do with this terrorism. you betta learn something about it and stop talking without knowing .

  • I know how New York is layed out because of GTA 4

  • it was a god damn inside job! research this and u will find facts

  • mad respect john legend. it feels really good to see people stand up for what they believe in especially when its standing up for whats right.

  • Respect you John Legend.

    AMEN

  • @AmatZelo

    yes amen bravo:)

  • we should never have to stoop to physical war. we are a civilize culture and people who should sit down at a table to discuss our disagreements. we are in modern times and the fact that countries are still fighting each other is repulsing.

  • respect

  • Building a mosque near ground zero is like building a nazi memorial near Arlington National Cemetary

  • @muffinman9797 WRONG!!!! The difference between muslims and nazis is that nazi is a hate group. Muslim is an ENTIRE culture of different people. To say the mosque is wrong is basically saying that all muslims cease to exist are terrorists.

  • @pjmgame Nazi was a national organisation dedicated to the advancement of the German people.

It was a struggle against the others who did not accept their right to self-determination. If you were German you were not likely to be critical.

  • @356pla Dude learn your history. The NAZIS was a hate group. Muslims are not. There are good and evil muslims in this world.

  • @pjmgame Nazi stands for National Socialist. Muslims who have studied history know that. You should too. You should also know about the collaboration between Muslim and Nazi forces back in the day. Both are highly militaristic and paternalistic in their world views. Domination is neccessary in order to maintain honour. Both took the attitude, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Primitive tribalist thinking.

  • @356pla HUGE DIFFERENCE between nazi and muslim. Religon and group. Please name the source so I can learn more about the nazis.

  • @pjmgame Just google the time frame and Egypt. That will get you started. Search Youtube for Islam & Nazi. Do your own research. I know you won't accept any evidence anyways. You are god-ridden. Sad.

  • @356pla Only if you accept that not all muslims are evil.

  • @pjmgameYou're not much good at absorbing new information are you?

  • @pjmgame There are some Muslim out there who are not totally evil. I accept that. Never said different. There. Are you happy now?

  • @356pla I know that there are evil muslims in this world. I support the Patriot Act as well as Peter King. Why? Because safety comes first. As for the nazi and Islam stuff. Look...Islam....not all muslims are evil. Nazi: Everyone's evil.

  • @pjmgame In the name of "safety comes first" The religion of Islam needs to be neutered. Until it is civil people are not safe from duplicitous assholes like you. I agree that not all those who grow up forced to submit to the ideology of Islam were evil at birth. We are all ignorant at the moment of our birth. I'm sure many of the children raised under the boot of Islam never have the chance to learn better. It is hard to look for somethng better when you are kept on your knees.

  • @356pla You're the asshole. I support King because there could be a very MINOR percentage of extreme muslims in the US. FYI: MINOR.

  • @pjmgagame We can live with some Jews, Muslims and Christians etc. because they mostly don't bother those around them or get all snotty anymore about their version of 'God's word' being sacred and no one else can criticise. Do you see how weak-ass people who can't deal with a little critisim look to us ? feeble.

  • @pjmgame So how many murderous fanatics are you willing to accept as neighbours?

  • @pjmgame Check this; watch?v=dnyQc6X8o7Y

  • @356pla Whatever you give me I have my own evidence. I have met many American Muslims AND NOT ONE has made threats against me. I know that there are evil muslims in the world but not all muslims are evil.

  • @pjmgame Thank you for the confirmation. Yes. There are Muslims who have not themselves ever acted with evil intent. Some feel bad when others do. Some apologize for those that do. Some won't until their preacher or someone else badgers them into an act that onl;y their religion could sanction and then do not see the wickedness of their action.

  • @356pla Glad you know that all muslims are different from one another

  • @pjmgame You seem to have some trouble with English. "that all muslims cease to exist are terrorists." Does not say wahat you might think it does. The word "cease" doesn't seem to apply.

  • Comment removed

  • @pjmgame I understand not all Muslims are terrorists I'm saying they shouldn't do it b/c of what it resembles and brings back, especially to those who lost loved ones in 9/11. Islam is what drove the 9/11 attacks and now they are building an Islam church right next to where they attacked?I find this unpatriotic and disrespectful to those affected by 9/11. If you were an Islam in Iraq would you want me to build a cathedral near a place the US bombed? If they want to they should build it elsewhere

  • @muffinman9797 That's the problem. If this mosque were to be moved then we are perserving hate and discrimination against the muslim community. America was attacked that day. Jews, catholics, blacks, whites and yes muslims were all killed. We cannot distinguish Americans base on their religon. We need to maintain ourselves as Americans. Not I'm a jew and your a catholic. We are all Americans.

  • @pjmgame But look at what is happening in Europe as well as the US Muslims are starting to try and creep their way into power and establish a sharia law which is EXTREMELY dangerous. There have been riots in Europe off just Muslims causing chaos. Now the people of Europe want to stop the Muslims from reeking havoc in there country. NOT ALL Muslims are bad but Islam has hurt the US, now Europe, and of course the Middle East. What would you do if the US became a sharia law estate. Islam is evil.

  • @muffinman9797 I cannot tell you what's going on in Europe but I can tell you what's going on in the USA. There is no Sharia Law. There is no Muslim power in the US. Muslim Americans are as sane as any other American. Here they associated with non-muslims that it changed the way who they were. Sharia in the USA? Where did you get this info from?

  • @pjmgame I understand what you're saying. There is no Sharia Law. But that's what Muslims want. Not all Muslims are radical, however many are becoming radical and wanting a DIFFERENT US. Look at Muslims through history, during the crusades Muslims were reeking havoc through Europe and slaughtering thousands IN THE NAME OF ALLAH. Muslims have a history of causing chaos and taking over lands, if you don't believe me PLEASE look it up Most Muslims aren't dangerous, YET. Look at Muslim countries.

  • @muffinman9797 There's no non-radical muslims becoming radical in the US. I meet muslims as well as catholics, jews, etc every day. America is a very devolped country. American Muslims associate with non-muslims every day. Just because we see the actions of extreme muslims in the middle eastern countries DOESN'T MEAN that non-radical muslims will become radical. Non-radical muslims denounce the actions of extreme muslims. You can check out CAIR for more info.

  • @pjmgame From the things I see and from what is going on and has gone on, Islam is dangerous and deadly. I know they aren't all dangerous but they are slowly shifting to be more and more radical. In France they banned Muslims from masking their faces completely for security reasons. Just look through history at what Muslims have done, they have gone through and destroyed lands. Look at what they have caused in the mid east. Every bad thing going on over there is a direct result of Islam.

  • @muffinman9797 Do you live in America? If so have you ever met an American Muslim?

  • @pjmgame you comparing american muslim with americans? have you live in Vietnam? Have you live in Palestine? have you live in Afganistan? Have you live in other countries? Have you live in Guantanamo Bay? Be globalized... Don't show to outsiders that the americans are not globalized.

  • @ularhijau I'm not talking about globalization. I'm talking how there are many muslims in this world who are not evil.

  • Comment removed

  • i believe @pjmgame opinion is totally wrong.Muslim totally prohibits those things to be happened. We've got to talk about the behavior of respective person, not blaming the religion or trait people by belief. Thus, those American Christ and Jewish who killed peoples in Iraq, Afganistan,Palestine, etc, are they noble enough? The number of killed people in respective countries are bigger than those dead in 9/11.Thus, you should be thankful.Muslims had the belief to be patient. But then, TILL WHEN?

  • @muffinman9797 obviously you didn't search enough deep, The " Burqa " is weared by just an arab community, it's not write in the Coran. The security reason is that some people put Burqa to be mask and rob bank. trust me those people ain't muslim. Then, "what muslim have done throught history " . don't speak about history if you don't know anything about it. Catholics are responsable for much bigger things than muslim like american Indian's extermination or the 400years of slavery.

  • @muffinman9797 and about " what they have caused in the mid east " for palestinian they're just trying to stay alive and stop the colonisation of their land by Israelian sionistes and all other sionistes from USA and europe.

  • @YkS94 Meaning the influence of Islam in the mid east. In places like Saudi Arabia where women can't get an education, license, or have any freedom whatsoever. Islam is the motive behind terrorism and is trying to takeover the free parts of the world. They are willing to kill themselves while killing others which is one reason that makes Islam so dangerous. I understand all muslims aren't dangerous but Islam itself is what is causing war all around the world. This is why I oppose it.

  • Islam IS NOT a religion of peace. Anyone who says otherwise is either ignorant or just blatantly lying. We call so called muslim terrorists "Islamic Fundamentalists" because they follow the TRUE fundamentals of Islam.... which is to kill non-believers if they don't convert. Muhammad himself beheaded approximately 700 people. Do the research. Youtube is a great tool to do so.

  • @rsuave109

let me clarify something about wat u just said on the topic about Prophet Muhammad beheading 700 ppl...this is because due to the war that sparked out during the ancient arabian times. Prophet Muhammad fought the non-believers of islam, ppl who look at islam as a fake..but it was not..he went to war in the name of ALLAH, and the results of that war, many were sacrificed including his army. if u say islam is not a religion of peace, then which religion is it..? learn about the truth

  • @rsuave109 learn about the truth in ISLAM. don be manipulated by the media..learn from the teachers..don say something which is not true...Due to your thoughts what makes you have any right to say that Islam is not a religion of peace. I believe that Christianity is a religion of peace, Even Buddism..so tell me...

  • @RustyRickMasters Really.. So you're gonna dispute the fact that the quran Doesn't say that muhammad performed beheadings???

  • @rsuave109

    Beheadings also happened in England.

Anyways, the quran uses beheadings as a punishment for criminals, just like how the US uses torture.

  • @rsuave109

Hello Fellas..........Muslim/Islam/Quran don't do and promotes beheadings! Even non of any religion promotes beheadings. Its just happened for the people who manipulate the religion as a weapon to get what they want and desired. Please get one copy of quran and try to understand. OMG...what the world. And another thing, Quran comes later than Taurat and Bible. If u beli

  • @rsuave109 If you read the quran true the translation without a teacher to guide then maybe you have got the wrong view. Islam is my religion and nothing you say can even make me leave my religion. In judgement day, this world will become the eternal journey to your never ending pain for your sins while those who have done good while they were alive will be save by GOD..

  • @rsuave109 beheading is only done in Islam to islamic people who have regard Allah as not their God the Almighty, asking witch doctors for help and plotting revenge on poor souls..and teaching people bad things. I wonder if you even believe in GOD?...tell me..Do you?

  • Islam shows people to give more respect to woman not boss them around loving them on a whole new level making them feel special as a woman should do.

by the way john legend is the man what a great guy

  • He voted for Obama lol !

  • if you talkin abt whats goin on in other countries, and the beliefs and practices of muslims you need to stfu bc we talkin abt if a mosque shld be built on "ground zero" or not and none of that other shit matters. half of you dont even know what you arguing abt

  • are a perfect example, European cities are being overrun and choas reigns in many of these countries and makes me question how tiny this small sect of radicals really is? I believe there are many good Muslims in the world, and I know many as friends they agree with all the hatred and division this place has caused, it will only take that much longer to solve any issue at hand. Its a bad choice in bad taste and the Imam will have to live with what he is creating, this is for him not Mulsims

  • It is a mosque and was conceived as one and that was its purpose, the community center and such all came after the opposition as well as the numerous name changes. If you truly want peace why go against 70% of the people that think this is a bad idea and find it insensitive, the people you are trying to reach out to? Anyhow I think there is something inherently wrong with a religion, ideology we discuss, I look around the world and see where Muslims were welcomed with open arms, and European

  • John I respect you as an artist, however in this case you are 100% wrong. Nobody ever said the Mosque cannot be built, we simply say not there. And if you are a New Yorker- anyone that lives downtown knows the towers and their foot prints were not only Ground Zero- downtown was devastated for blocks and blocks. I lived 5 blocks away and up to that point everyone had to be evacuated and we moved out for 7 months because common sense told you the air quality was not healthy.

  • @nicky1430 AMEN!!!

  • 2 people see upside down

  • Very well said

  • That's a very Intellectual point of view! I totally agree with him!

  • why are catholics not spoken about for what they've done... they have enslaved and killed people... come the fuck on! stop judging and bring peace

  • No you don't JOhn Legend he the only real person out there doing his thing.

  • Well said, impressive!

  • Bless this man he is truely blessed I wish more people in this world can think like him there would b more peace rather then war

  • John Legend makes beautiful music with beautiful words and instruments... On top of that he has a beautiful view on religious freedom and his political commentary makes him very rational and likable

  • dang, couldn't have said it any better...well said :]

  • In memory of all those innocent civilians who were murdered senselessly in ALL GROUND ZEROs around the world, including 9/11 (approx. 3000), Iraq (millions), Afghanistan (millions), Kosovo (millions), Ruwanda (millions), Vietnam (millions), Korea (millions), Hiroshima (millions), Nazi/WWII (millions), etc...Let's hope these darkest moments of human history teach us to forego biggotry, love and forgive each other & unite against all those who have harmed humanity in one way or another.

  • i agree

  • Its stated that Terry Jones does not represent the views of the American population yet many Americans seem to hold that every person who follows Islam are responsible for what happened on 9/11! I see no problem in a Islamic community center being built near the twin towers after all America is a nation that represents a multicultural society.

  • A slight Misunderstanding: Its not really a "mosque," more like an Islamic Community Center that includes a Prayer room/Mosque. This community center has the support of all the major religious leaders in New York. On that note, Forgiveness is an essential trait that all societies should have and encourage.

  • @VoidNinja7

Except that those people don't need to be "forgiven" for anything.

  • @TheDavidDaoud True

  • SORRY BUT HOW MANY AMERICAN CITIZENS HAVE STRAPPED BOMBS ON FEMALES WITH DOWN SYNDROME? PFFT GLAD IM AN ATHEIST....CAUSE IT DOESNT RESTRAIN ME FROM KNOWING THAT ALL RELIGIONS ARE EVIL!

  • @sammallory79

As a Tolkenist I find this video offensive (as it seems you do as an Atheist).

For in the battle of Helms deep. Did the Orcs not use a suicide bombing run to attack the righteous? Yes, in deed they did. If this is interpreted correctly, then Tolken did right of the vile and evil Muslims in his holy trilogy.

We must stand fast against their evil and plight! We must defend our own Helm's Deep (our homes, our spirits, our minds, our family, our friends).

    Praise be to Gandolf!

  • what you should be admitting is that the faith of islam breeds hate on all sides and the muslims speaking about peace and all that crap do not live in muslim countries. THERE ARE FAKE EVERYTHING AND BEING MUSLIM AND LIVING IN AMERICA IS REDUNDANT. MUSLIMS ACT LIKE NON MUSLIMS ARE NOT EDUCATED ON THERE FAITH YET WE ARE. I CAN CARE LESS IF THEY BUILD A MOSQUE! AND IT IS FUNNY YOU BRING OF PEDOPHILE CATHOLIC PRIESTS...THING IS THE VIOLENCE THAT MUSLIMS DO HAPPEN TODAY AND IT IS BY ITS NORMAL MAN

  • hahaah it's a marketing thing...fact is you can say your muslim but you are a faker...you can't dismiss Sharia Law. Muslim faith is in direct opposition of the American way of life. Sure we are a free country but how many Muslims lived in America when our forefathers did. ACCOUNTABILITY?...lets make this simple for simpletons...no way do I believe WIKI is a good place for all information but a fast look at the muslim faith will teach you different.

  • I dont disagree w/him but its a matter of tact. The US is mainly a Christian country. The worst attack ever in this country was perpetrated just 9yrs ago by ppl operating under a warped version of Islam. Now ppl want 2put an Islamic center just 2 blocks from the scene of the crime. Nobody is saying all Muslims are to blame for 9/11, but we are saying that it's not the most tactful move. It feels like putting up a Budweiser sign on the lawn of a woman whose son was killed by a drunk driver

  • @VicInNocal whether it's morally wrong or not is a different issue, they have freedom of religion. if someone wanted to praise the hijackers they have the right to do so.

  • @TheHaybot Yeah, and I also have the right to walk around Harlem wearing a shirt that says "Black people suck", and a man who is 46 years old has the right to have sex with a girl who is 18 years old, and I have a right to eat McDonald's cheeseburgers every single day. it doesn't make any of these decisions any more smart.

  • @VicInNocal yeah but that is completely different from Muslims who are not terrorist and just want to have a place of worship

  • @VicInNocal OR LIKE BUILDING A STATUE OF HITLER IN ISRAEL !!! LMAOOO

  • @RamboW4NN463 No, your Hitler statue comparison isn't accurate at all. That would be like building a statue of the 9-11 terrorists. We're talking about a mosque.

  • @VicInNocal wow i aint seen it put this well. i could care less if they put it there or dont but can understand other people bein against it. And if that's how ppl feel then that's how they feel. whether they blinded by emotion, or they think it's a mockery, that's just what it is. i dont think its fair cus in a way, other muslims are bein lumped in w/terrorists but u cant change how 7 out of 10 ppl feel about this and that's that. No right or wrong it just is what it is

  • Thank YOU John Legend!! You just gained a fan!! respect!!

  • well said.. thank you very much..

  • it's funny how people say Islam is a religion of violence because of what the extremists & terrorists did. If thats how they wanna play it, then we can also say Christianity is a religion of violence, too, as many famous serial killers throughout times were Christians. but i wont do that, coz that'd be too low. & ridiculous.

  • @haidan32 not to mention the crusades

  • @haidan32 Are you really that stupid? The serial killers weren't committing their violence in the name of Christianity, whereas the 9/11 terrorists were doing it in the name of Islam. Granted, radical Christians are kooks just as much as radical Muslims, but your logic is very flawed.

  • @typluz, you OBVIOUSLY haven't been anywhere. I'm living in Malaysia, which is an Islamic country with Islam as the primary religion & mostly populated by Muslims, and there are MANY churches / temples here. You should go out more. I pity you

  • You haven't alienated me John!

  • "people going on about their business" Fort Hood Massacre, Times Square Car Bomb, Underwear Bomber but I digress... Every Muslim is accountable for Ground Zero? No! Who is accountable for the victims' families who find this to be rubbing a wound that has not healed. There is not even a memorial. Not to mention the history of triumphalism. You don't justify (perceived) bad behavior by pointing out bad behavior. This is about right/wrong not black/white.

  • I always hate it when some arabs thinks that all western the same and blame all the western ppl cus of some bad of them, I never thought they are some western people feel the same way I feel.

He really makes a lot of sense.

  • The most glorified lounge singer on earth.

  • person* based on their faith, sexual orientation, race, nationality. i have read the quran myself, and read the hadiths (sayings of the prophet and imams), and know all this by being a muslim myself, and having proof for all of it.

  • @typluz - since when does islam believe in not educating women? it actually believes women should have equal rights and should be as educated and independent as any man. it specifically has laws on letting women own land, have jobs, educate themselves and so forth. i think i would know better what my faith decrees on the rights of women and the love of other people, as i am a muslim myself. as for the hate, islam is a religion on peace, and doesn't believe in harming or being against any perso

  • @missz7

You might want to add that Prophet Muhammad's first wife, Khadijah, was a wealthy business lady and also his Employer. She was about 40 when he married her at the age of 25 and the marriage lasted for 25 years apparently. Also, I happen to know that the student body at An-Najah National University in Nablus, Palestine (mostly Muslim) is more than 50% Female !

  • @missz7 Can I just add to the point that, in Islam , the last prophet mohammad PBUH, came along, and , changed the rights for women , in the time of eygt he was afeminist, and . also, the rule in that day and age was to, kill all your daughters . fathers and men, used to kill their adaughters, because that was the rule, and when the Prophet PBUH came, he changed. that.

  • @missz7 Wow you MUST be confused. Clearly you're not aware of what happens in Islamic countries. Islam is NOT a religion of peace. It's a religion of slavery and war. If you don't believe me....go to an Islamic country and see for yourself. Visit Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan and take a look at all of their "women's rights". In those countries they LIVE by the Qu'ran....I mean truly live by it. They do EXACTLY what that book tells them to. They torture women, kill gays, and decapitate each other.

  • @theheatofthemoment i know!! and if the women really do have all those rights, why do they have to keep their whole face and body covered??

  • @theheatofthemoment "If you don't believe me...go to an Islamic country & see for yourself" lol, that made me laugh...First of all, no they don't live by the Quran hun, it's the Government making the rules...The Quran doesn't say women must cover their face, yet in Saudi Arabia they have too, that is one example out of many more. PLEASE educate yourself before you rant on about something you don't know about, you sound VERY ignorant especially with the whole "see for yourself" comment you made.

  • @missz7 Some of us don't believe you.

  • i love him even more now ,,

  • respect to john legend!its so true abt not all muslims r accountable for 9/11! I js hope d mosque dnt get vandalised by ignorant ppl! neway eid mubarak to all da muslim brothers and sisters out ther much love xx

  • i loved john legend's music before, but damn, this interview made me truly respect him.

  • John Legend, you are the man. He spoke his mind and stands up for what he believes in. I liked this interview.

  • what's the last song???

  • @coolzezo hard knock tv theme by rico pabon. you can download it for free at the hard knock records website

  • @coolzezo its called hard times on the new album by the roots and john legend.

  • great artist,.love his songs,.but his wrong about the mosque and I am black,.and definately he doesnt understand what islam is all about,. freedom,?hahaahaa John ,when islam takes over you wont even be able to sing the way you sing,.try making a tour to Saud Arabia John,.and ohh,.dont carry your bible over there,.they will cut your head off,.by law,.by islamic law,. and its coming in america,.wake up,.before its too late,.

  • Tell 'em John Legend! Speak up for justice and equality! That's what this country is built on! There are bad people everywhere. You can't judge the whole based on a few. That's like saying all Germans are Nazis (in the word of actress Sophia Bush).

  • Hey everyone, i recorded and shot a video for pretty boy swag, i would LOVE for ya'll to check it out, NOW comment and subscribe also. thanks ;-p

  • He should stick to what he knows...music. He is NOT a Native New Yorker. He was (obviously) not in New York on 9/11 running for his life --and, he obviously, did not lose a family member, loved one or friend from the tragedy that day.

It's not just as cut and dry as he tries to makes it seem ....

And, just because you were accepted at Harvard doesn't mean that you know everything

  • @LegrandnjClassicSoul Dude, I'm a muslim. If you lost someone, I did not want that because I don't want to lose anyone in my family or any of my friends.. Like you, I condemn what happened. I've been studying Islam and I see nothing in my religion that tells me to kill innocent people. The only thing I wish for you and everybody you know is God's mercy. The mosque near ground zero will contain good people just like a church will contain good people.

  • @ryuuM21 It will contain good people, but why do they have to build it so close to Ground Zero? That's disrespectful to what happened there 9 years ago, which was perpetrated by people who did it in the name of Islam (granted, a distorted version of Islam). It's a lack of tact.

  • @VicInNocal Its good that there are still people like you who think right. But don't ya think walking around Harlem wearing a shirt that says "Black people suck" isn't tactful too? We all have a place. I think that's what USA stands for. And it is still easier for the insulted people to watch "the enemy" in plain sight rather than watching over them with mini spy planes don't you agree? Though I still have a good feeling those people watching closely won't be seeing anything "terrifying" much.

  • @ryuuM21

what about the sword verses in the koran?

  • @lilwaynerooney10 "let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" (Qur'an 2:190-193) The sword verses you speak of were sent when muslims were being persecuted. Persecutors aren't innocent. If you read your history, the Crusaders first captured Jerusalem from the muslims and slaughtered the muslim mercilessly. Saladin after, had recaptured Jerusalem then allowed the non-muslims to live peacefully. Don't read a book by verse, read it all. And people are people. Islam is Islam.

  • @LegrandnjClassicSoul

i dont have to be a New Yorker to be able to tell what a heinous act of violence 9/11 was. Islam denounces violence just as any other mainstream religion. It preaches peace to not just human life but to this planet as a whole.

Many muslims lost their life than day as well, and we'll never forget that.

    peace be with you

  • @LegrandnjClassicSoul

You didn't have to be a Native New Yorker to feel pain that day. Don't be so damn naive and close minded. People of all color, races, and religions died tragically that day. You cannot blame an entire religion based on the actions of radical evil terrorists who did this. Every religion has their crazies and extremists.

  • @LegrandnjClassicSoul Just because your a bigot piece of shit doesn't mean you know anything either. Every religion has had people do bad things. Surprisingly the only thing that should be to blame is stupid people flocking to ideas.. including yourself. Who CARES if you know someone who died. Shit happens. Move on and learn from it. Don't become a complete fucking idiot because of it.

  • @LegrandnjClassicSoul I can't believe narrow minded people like you still exist. Its almost 2011 and people still feel that people don't deserve their god given right to worship where they can. The building is not just a Masjid/Musalah/Mosque its a community center/ memorial/ and place for interfaith communication. Its just that the muslims feel that they need to help rebuild the community to help people see muslims as we are peaceful productive people. We work and pay taxes just like everyone.

  • @Hosshin

spanish inquisition was what???? where the fuck did u learn your history? american schools?? heck, are you blind like your former pope for whom it took till the 80's to finally admit that the sun revolving around the earth is a myth??!

Saying the spanish inquisition was a myth is like saying the holocaust was a myth too! go back to elementary school HosshiT

  • @ashrafc ha ha,, Irish universities actually, how many books have u read on the subject?... in can guess none this is just a knee jerk reaction from yourself, the Spanish inquisition was largely fabricated to suit an agenda , and when compared with other inquisition paled in comparison to other countries, of the nearly 50,000 people tried by the inquisitors, only around 800 were executed over a 350 year period and most of them were criminally insane,
