  • Boomerang I think was the best network to watch this show. =D

  • We needed great cartoons to stop us from getting depressed with that bitch Maggie Thatcher being Prime Minister

  • i watched many 80s and 90s cartoons in the 2000's on open tv and i love this shows more then the crap of today, thank you mexico for being outdated

  • Ugh, why wasn't I born in the 80's!? :(

  • lol watch mah video response

  • Do do, do do do do

  • Alright, Zephyrnix, if that's the case, how come only Dave, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are in this opening, while all six were in the previous opening?

  • I remember watching this version as a kid!

  • 1 person never had a childhood

  • 90s was OK but 50s really we the top.

Now they just plaine lost it. 90s 80s 70s 60s and 50s Classic Chipmunks were good.

Now on TV there Off the air.

  • Childhood memories right here

  • This theme song is awesome as ever catchy!

  • awesome

  • i vaguely remember this

  • Man they dont make intro theme songs like that anymore!

  • This was one of my favorite cartoons as a child. I didn't even know that they were around before the 80's go figure. I watched reruns of this show all the time in the 90's. So awesome to find this.

  • Im 18 and Im sad that I couldnt watch many of those nice cartoons because most of the 80s and 90s cartoons got out of TV in1999-2001 in germany... I wish that I were born 10 years earlier.

80s and 90s cartoons should be implemented and this crappy anime shit should be deleted fromTV,seriously when I look at old cartoons I feel love around me,Im not gay xD,but when Im accidently watching an anime for a short time, theres nothing but fighting with cards or humming tops everything is just the same..

  • Aaaaawh good old times lol! I still love to watch these cartoons!

  • MEMORYS !!!! they dont make stuff like this anymore !!!

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • where can the 91 ending be found with the synth guitar at the end?

  • @diegoaccord There is no "91 ending," as you put it, as the show was cancelled in 1990.

  • @MrOneofthousands1994 whatever. It was from 88ish to the end which I guess is 90. Anyone would know what I'm alking about so can it.

  • For some reason, David Seville reminds me of Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid. He looks a bit like him.

  • @cupcakefairy87 You're right! I'd never noticed that before XD

  • Goal:

Kill the person who gets rid of the classics

    Mission Accepted

    Mission Complete- Grade A

  • they really need to put this back on air :/

  • Great memories, then NBC started trying to revamp their programming interrupting this version as much as possible.

  • Now that's a nostalgic kick to the face, in a good way.

  • I love this version!!!

  • I haven't heard this in years and yet as soon as i turned on the video i instantly remembered the lyrics

  • Man, Simon and Theodore are proper professionals, getting on stage and improving the act while that little diva Alvin is still faffing around in makeup. And then of course, once he's out he completely takes over the number. What a brat, but his brothers have some class.

  • omg memories

  • The 90's just bitch slapped me

  • the chipmunks this size is great...they are little kids with funny voices....not talking chipmunks.................

  • man i use to love this back in the day.

  • there should be a Chip and Dale, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore cross-over

  • ALVINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

  • This makes me far to happy!!!

Man, I love them so much!!

  • I remember watching this when i was a kid in the early 90's, good times ;(

  • 80's cartoons ruled, end of story.

  • @AstrayxHeart no unfortunately Ross Bagdasarian jr himself hafd Youtube remove every single episode that was ever uploaded on here

  • @KidderAdam: But doesn't "Dave" realize that his "boys" & their girls (The Chipettes) are famous because of the 60's series (The Alvin Show), the various musical albums, the 80s revival (Alvin & The Chipmunks), & movies (The Chipmunk Adventure, The Chipmunks Go To The Movies, The Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein, & The Chipmunks Meet The Wolfman) moreso than the CGI remakes (2007 & beyond)? I mean, what'll happen once he passes away? The 'munks would be dead, since they were his creation!

  • @TherealRNO The dude who plays Dave is Ross Bagdasarian jr,

His father Ross sr was the one who created them ^^

His dad was also their original voices until he passes away in the 70s

His son Ross jr then took over with the voice acting until the new movies where they had other people playing each of them (I noticed the change even before I looked on IMDB :P )

I suppose when Ross jr passes away, he will (hopefully) pass it down to his children for it to stay a family thing ^^

  • is there any episodes on here????

  • Dude, this show was amazing! I only ever really watched the two tapes of the show I have and the movie (no, not the stupid one, the great wonderful one that I love, where they're going around the world in hot air balloons), but it still amde my life.

  • at 0:38 look at theodore and simons legs

  • @daddyman123456789 , Yeah they had quite the moves, I couldn't do those moves I'd trip and fall and brake my legs lol.

    The Chipmunks were great.

  • I thought it'd be a good idea to give this video at least one dis I like. :3

  • I miss this show. I was born in 1985 and i didnt start watching this until 1991, the movies were not bad. But the cartoon was number 1

  • This brings so much memories X3 ^^ This was my favorite ! :3

  • reminds me of chip and dale a little bit....

  • best theme song

  • Even though I wasn't born during the 80s, I totally remember seeing this on DVD. Ahhh, memories.

  • this is the one I love and remember as well as the movie 'A Chipmunk Adventure' and the album 'Born To Rock', that was my era - awesome!

  • OMYOSH I forgot about this intro THANK YOU!!!

  • this show looks great and awesome!

    love it!

  • Actually, this intro is just called the Chipmunks. They called it this because the chippettes we're becoming all to popular. so they also became stars of the show... could they could have just redid the intro. but... well, you know.

  • weird, i don't remember seeing this intro before

  • This show has one of the most unforgetable intro songs ever. And who could forget those wonderful guitar riffs? The 80s will never be forgotten.

  • Never saw this one before. Interesting.

  • this is the 1 i rember

  • I prefer thge old "antisocial" 1961-62 one from Format Producitons and Jack Kinnye Productions, with Basgdasarian< Ross, senior. and that crazy Bagdasarian stock music. ALLLVIINNNN-"I...am Clyde. Crashcup. That is Crash for crash. And Cupo for cup Clyde CRASH cup. Get it? Leonardo? Leonqardo? Clyde Crashcup."

  • It is very snazzy,I even remember all the words!!This is still one of my favs...

  • what do you mean with "snazzy"?

  • This was a very snazzy intro.

  • @erracht so glad it's not just me who completely LOVES this theme song! I was beginning to think there was something wrong with me! :)

  • @erracht Yeah. The music in this introduction has more style than the first opening.
