@kaytothei i got into SFA like 6 years ago, and that was my exact thought at the time. A Welsh Ween or Flaming Lips. I like the Ween reference though. Not exactly in most of their music, but in their obvious comfort level in never trying to be "a big thing." so more in spirit. not sure if you'll see this comment two years on, but i had to comment, given that was my feel at the start of what has become a long love affair with SFA. By far one of the most brilliant bands of the 21st century.

Yes this is the official video to the song. The Island is Ilsa Craig (not too sure of the spelling) off the West Coast of Scotland, by Stranraer, the ferry port to Northern Ireland. My guess is the band would have seen it on their tours and rather appreciated the fact that all the stones in the world used for the sport of Curling are made of rock from there. The island is the fossilised magma core of an old volcano, fact fans!
