i got a question, say you were in warsong gulch and you get the flag, u use the spell but does it make copies with flag so it can confuse who is the real one or not?
here is a tactic that I just thought now, that can be usueful in pvp (avaible only for frost mages) You cast poly on your target and you summon mirror image after that you start casting frostbolt too, it would mean alot of dmg, the enemy will panic and forget about your mirror and jump on you that's when you frostnova and blink xD
I think mirror image is what every mage has been waiting for. But i think it is alittle Op...I am a beast mastery hunter...and my pet can hardly solo a mob my level by itself...but mirror image can take 2-3 mobs alone without any user attacks. Thats kind of stacked and i dont really like it...but i suppose you should enjoy it while it last.

Group/Raid PvE would find little benefit from the extra DPS of the Images and is negligable in those cases (In fact, the fact they have polymorph and therefore potentially heal mobs we're trying to kill, or pull unwanted mobs if I'm too close, they'd actually usually be more of a liability than an asset in any form of PvE beside Solo encounters, or so I think).

I was going to make another video with an even uglier gnome. The video was going to be called "Mirror Image - The shattered mirror." There was this patch which made all of the character models, especially gnomes, fugly as hell. They were also forced to be naked due to gear models being redesigned.
I was gonna give it crappy music with her failing at doing the most simple tasks.

that 300 - 600 can still be good, and also b/c it snares. so you have 300-600(x3) now get with another mage say for 2s arena and you got 2 mages and 6 copies. mages decent dmg and 2.4k dmg + snares every how ever often the attack is, with mages instant attacks and if they're arcane this is a little nasty skill. i cant wait to get it :)

False. You no longer switch places with your mirror images. At least, not in this patch. Even before, the "buff" let you cast any spell you wished, but it would force you to switch places with an image every 10 seconds or so. So, you're half-right. But you no longer switch places with them anymore.
The copies stand in place casting Frostbolt over and over again, and usually have mainhand and off-hand weapons unsheathed. Also, depending on what you have to view tooltips, it's easily recognizable by looking at what color the name is. Although, they did a lot of work to make it rather good to confuse players at first.
Also, the spell has already been nerfed since this video. The copies do crappy damage, about 400 damage each.

I was fighting a rogue on my mage and I had my water elemental out, my 3 mirror images, and me spamming ice lance, and all I saw on my screen was "MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS."
Warlocks put a few DoTs on us and were dead in a matter of seconds. And theres also abilities that silence us, most of our abilities are casting and those that arent have a CD or dont do that much dmg.Any melee range DPS will own us if blink/frost nova is on CD.Yea the water elemental is nice but it only does 600 DPS and it has a Casting time.Now im not the best at PVP but it usally takes a pretty skilled player with good gear to be OP
I agree. Been playing a frost mage since before BC came out. It takes a lot of skill to play a mage competantly since they're so fragile and spell dependent. Unless wtfisjesus is a warrior, I really don't see how he can say mages are OP (If he is a warrior, live with it...warriors can own pretty much everything else).
Yes I am a warrior, and your quite clearly kidding your self if you think frost mages require skill to play. All you do is blink every time we intercept, we are nothing more than sitting targets with our only defense being spell reflect which any retard with the slightest bit of knowledge can see and avoid casting. That combined with mana shield, if we are lucky enough to get a stun on a mage, we can barely break through the shield before the mage blinks again.
did u forget about the 20 second CD on blink.or mabey the fact that mana shield takes mana away from us.Now a well geared warrior(which i can tell you arent)should be able take take the shield down with no skill at all.By the time you would take the sheild down we have already said good bye to all our such needed mana.And please the next time you duel a mage make sure u dont put reflect on right away...that makes it obvious.

You'll have to be more specific. Frost Mages have a lot of snares.
Unless you're talking about the Scrolling Combat Text that appears that says "Snared," then that simply means the target is snared.
And just to jump the shark and assume you don't know what a snare is... Snaring is when you slow down a target somehow... In this case, with frost spells. Basically, snaring is slowing something down.
The item is [Dartol's Rod of Transformation] - It's only available to Alliance. It's part of a low level questline in Ashenvale called "Raene's Cleansing."
If someone knows what multiboxing means, imagine how many "players" one person could "control" with 5 multiboxing mages and this spell on each one of them.. 5 x 4(original player and 3 copies by Mirror Image) = 20 xD

it is rumored you cant cast any spells while your mirror images are up unless they are instant because you constantly switch places with them, is this true?

False. You no longer switch places with your mirror images. At least, not in this patch. Even before, the "buff" let you cast any spell you wished, but it would force you to switch places with an image every 10 seconds or so. So, you're half-right. But you no longer switch places with them anymore.

The copies stand in place casting Frostbolt over and over again, and usually have mainhand and off-hand weapons unsheathed. Also, depending on what you have to view tooltips, it's easily recognizable by looking at what color the name is. Although, they did a lot of work to make it rather good to confuse players at first.
Also, the spell has already been nerfed since this video. The copies do crappy damage, about 400 damage each.

Rogues get so many evasion-type skills it's hilarious.
I was fighting a rogue on my mage and I had my water elemental out, my 3 mirror images, and me spamming ice lance, and all I saw on my screen was "MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS MISS."
I think that's a pretty cool talent for a rogue.

mages are in no way OP.
Warlocks put a few DoTs on us and were dead in a matter of seconds. And theres also abilities that silence us, most of our abilities are casting and those that arent have a CD or dont do that much dmg.Any melee range DPS will own us if blink/frost nova is on CD.Yea the water elemental is nice but it only does 600 DPS and it has a Casting time.Now im not the best at PVP but it usally takes a pretty skilled player with good gear to be OP

I agree. Been playing a frost mage since before BC came out. It takes a lot of skill to play a mage competantly since they're so fragile and spell dependent. Unless wtfisjesus is a warrior, I really don't see how he can say mages are OP (If he is a warrior, live with it...warriors can own pretty much everything else).

Yes I am a warrior, and your quite clearly kidding your self if you think frost mages require skill to play. All you do is blink every time we intercept, we are nothing more than sitting targets with our only defense being spell reflect which any retard with the slightest bit of knowledge can see and avoid casting. That combined with mana shield, if we are lucky enough to get a stun on a mage, we can barely break through the shield before the mage blinks again.

did u forget about the 20 second CD on blink.or mabey the fact that mana shield takes mana away from us.Now a well geared warrior(which i can tell you arent)should be able take take the shield down with no skill at all.By the time you would take the sheild down we have already said good bye to all our such needed mana.And please the next time you duel a mage make sure u dont put reflect on right away...that makes it obvious.

1: if you stun me im ice blocking or trinketing... if you intercept me im blinking, you have a ways to go before you get to worry about my ice barrier
2: if you catch a mage and cant take his ice barrier or mana shield down, you nead to quit the game now.
3: mages are warriors counter class, and we are damned good at it because we have so few classes that are actually easy to us... any healer can usually out heal us, locks, druids, huntards, rogues, all have counters to us.
4: you suck

You'll have to be more specific. Frost Mages have a lot of snares.
Unless you're talking about the Scrolling Combat Text that appears that says "Snared," then that simply means the target is snared.
And just to jump the shark and assume you don't know what a snare is... Snaring is when you slow down a target somehow... In this case, with frost spells. Basically, snaring is slowing something down.

The item is [Dartol's Rod of Transformation] - It's only available to Alliance. It's part of a low level questline in Ashenvale called "Raene's Cleansing."
