@blazerboy7772 This is more than just a fan. The fan is not even a closely related feature of the engine. The fan just gives the effect of a radiator cooler and the main focus is the working pistons and valves. Learn the basics of a combustion engine and then you reserve the right to hate this video but until FUCK OFF you internet troll.
Personally I'n not phased by this :/ I'm 16 and about to study Vehicle Mechanics at Southdowns College and I'm about to make my own wooden model of a 4-cylinder engine as I hate this being pre-made and just need to be assembled :P
@smiley235 Yes they do. A small DC motor drives the crankshaft that pushes the pistons up and down, and there is a belt that links the crankshaft and camshaft. The camshaft in turn, pushes the valves in and out (hold in place by small springs) all in sync.
@SOCKCOCK1 I bought it on July of this year (2010) directly from Haynes (part number 0180), though it's hard to find on their website... Good luck, it's lot of fun, and it's a good kit.
The music is great! LOL!

@CutByAngels Fair enough, you should look into this, and think about making the whole vehicle to go with your engine. Google "Lee Stoetzel bus"

does the camshaft and valves work in this model?
