OMG!!!! this is soooo awesome. When you can feel the pain of the characters! This was a awesome performance from Steve and Kayla. I loved these characters...I remember watching this when I was pregnat with my kids!! Now they are mommies too!

i think patch is being really insensitive. instead of comforting Kayla he is so angry and demanding. I mean, he forced her to tell him all about it because HE needed to hear? I mean, she said "i'm sorry"???

@sophy95926 yeah but you have to think about his history, he watched his mother Jo get beaten to a pulp by his father and his sister was raped as well. I don't think he's angry at Kayla, just angry that another woman he loves was hurt.

@sophy95926 I can see that interpretation as well. But you have to realize that Steve really blamed himself for Kayla having to marry Jack in the first place. That is his brother and person he was so desperate to to find and bring back into his life. He was stuck in that moment between family and the woman he loved. Many men and women react with anger upon hearing about rape or abuse. His reaction was genuine given the circumstances. Kayla's sorry was too, as it was more about not to tell.

Stephen Nichols has to be one of my all time fave soap actors. Very emotional but also the tough guy. I wish they would really get his story line going a little more now. UGH.

I have been drawn to these clips of Kayla's rape, and the reaction of her friends and family. Anyone who has experienced sexual assault knows about the devastation it causes, not only for the victims but those around them. This portrayal is so heartbreakingly accurate, it is amazing that acting this superb could be found on a daytime soap opera!!!! Long live Patch and Kayla

that was probably one of the best-acted scenes I've ever seen on daytime, besides on passions when sheridan finally told alistair off. Naw, this was better. I cried right along with it, and rape scenes never usually make me cry because the acting isn't that great or the cinematography. This was so sad.

I always remember the part where Kayla tells steve about the rape. It's always been the one part about them that has never left my memory. That and their taking care of Benji. It's not a fond thing to remeber but I will never forget it. Thanks for posting this up. I still find it hard to believe that Jack would do something like that. I'm so glad he finally found someone like Jen to love.
